Have you ever used one? They’re pretty widely considered the only good thing about the 320. And you’re not carrying it, I would hope, plus it has a manual safety.

I’m not the least bit a 320 fan, and sig handled it wrong completely, but I still think the whole thing was blown out of proportion. The gun sucks, but there are millions of them in circulation, all you ever heard about having problems were law enforcement.

I’m not gonna sit here and white knight for the P320, but the Flux Raider is arguably the only legitimate use case for one now. You can circumvent the ND issue by simply never carrying one in the chamber, and it doesn’t affect your use case at all because it’s a bag gun and you were probably already carrying with an empty chamber anyway. For a CCW piece, carrying on an empty chamber is a dumb idea, but for a bag gun it really doesn’t matter much at all.

Again, I’m not saying the P320 is a safe design and everything is hunky dory with them. I’m just saying that a Raider’s use case inherently bypasses the ND issue.

With that said, the instant that an RXM raider becomes available, the P320 raider no longer has a reason to exist, and should be gotten rid of as soon as possible.

It’s not a legitimate mitigation of the P320 ND issue unless your use case specifically calls for carrying on an empty chamber, which is absolutely the case for a bag gun. The gun can’t ND if there isn’t a round chambered.

For the record, I don’t own a P320 or a Raider, so I legitimately have no stake in this discussion, I’m just calling it how I see it.

I love the p320, minus the dangerous safety issues. I am issued an m17 and don’t worry about it. If the p320 didn’t have the glaring issue of uncommanded discharges, it would probably be my favorite pistol for the price. I shoot them better than most.
