What's Are Your "YOU HAVE TO TRY IT" Restaurant For Visitors?

Hey Everyone,
I love food and exploring new cities and work has me in between Dallas and Fort Worth for 2-3 weeks with a daily food stipend.
So you know what that means, what are your local diamonds, local hidden spots and must-try tourist traps. I want them all!
No dietary restrictions.
Thank you in advance!

Lucia
Kellers burgers
Cris and John
Goldie's BBQ (Some of the best barbecue in the country)
Also I seen people recommend babes fried chicken, Plz don't go there if you love yourself, food is bad almost everything taste like canned food that was just reheated
Not to mention this salad dressing that has so much sugar that it tastes like syrup

Javier’s is my go-to when entertaining out of town first time visitors.
Opus_777@reddit
I'm sorry but this is a horrible recommendation, The food is terrible and crazy overpriced
I only go there when I'm meeting with buddies from out of town because it's one of the only nice areas that you can smoke cigars and still have food and drinks.
But if you're not going to have a cigar there's so many better places to eat.

Jimmy's Foodstore, La Victoria, Maple and Motor, El Si Hay (cash only), Lucia, Tacos La Banqueta, Hugo's Seafood Bar, or Cosmo's.

Good luck getting into Lucia. I live in Dallas and haven’t been successful with reservations. But I hear it’s great.
FuhBreezeE@reddit
Resy reservations open at 9am every day. Set a reminder and you can definitely get one. Also, set consistent reminders for resy to send you notifications if any reservations open up on days you’re interested in. Hope this helps.

Great advice. Thank you!

So go right at 5 and you will likely get a table or to eat at the bar.
emeryldmist@reddit
It appears there is a 7:30 reservation for 2 available for this evening.
Pangaeabeliever@reddit
That’s amazing. Every time I’ve looked they are booked solid for 30 days.

For visitors is a bit different than locals (ie Jimmys is a must for a local. Someone visiting it’s not, and if it’s an east coaster then they have jimmys at home):
Bowen House
Starship Bagels (even for my NY visitors because it’s legit better than most at home! Which is crazy)
Las Palmas
Tango Room
The Charles or Mister Charles
Town Hearth (other great and maybe better steak houses but this is uniquely dallas - could do Nuri too for the experience)
Beverly’s then a drink at Clifton Club
Babes Fried Chicken
Cattleack or if not open then Hurtado, Terry Blacks, Pecan Lodge, or Slow Bone
And if it’s certain members of my fam buccees - I don’t see what’s so special but they love it and don’t have it and want to see it

McDonald’s at Coit/Beltline. They have something called a “Big Mac” that is extraordinary.

The Big Arch is so mind-numbingly delicious, the CEO could only take teeny-tiny bites at a time.

I don’t actually live in DFW, I’m just in this sub because I visit a few times a year. Two places I always go to when I visit are Hawkers in Deep Ellum for a meal (Asian fusion street food) and La La Land (coffeeshop with some breakfast items and really adorable merch)

Sunny Thai in Arlington. They have a few more locations now (mansfield and Cedar Hill).
Pho V in Bedford. They have a sister location in Hurst called V's House that has a good patio and an amazing VIBE.
Perry's in Grapevine. But Friday lunch special only.
For a fun experience: Potpurri in Dallas Bishop Arts for High Tea The French Room in the Adolphus Hotel for FANCY experience
Devivo's in Keller.
Dawnzarelli@reddit
Pho V! I used to work out that way and we would go get lunch summer rolls a lot. They have the best I’ve had.
Defiant-Opposite189@reddit
For me, its their Beef Pho. Nothing compares!
And its right next to the best local comic book store!
TheRamblerJohnson@reddit
It depends on where you are from, what you are used to, and your general preferences. There are very good examples of most of the world's foods/meals here in DFW. I hope you enjoy!
