Help in choosing GPU

Trying to decide between these GPUs:
-RTX 5060 Ti 16GB
-RTX 5070 12GB
-RX 9070 XT 16GB
Rest of my system:
Ryzen 9 9950X
64GB DDR5
I’m looking for a good balance between gaming and other workloads (AI/compute/general use), so I want something that’s strong in both areas, not just gaming performance alone.
My priorities:
- 1080p -1440p gaming (don’t care about 4K)
- Something that will last \~5–6 years
- Workloads (AI/compute) are just as important as gaming
-Stable drivers and overall reliability
-VRAM longevity
-Decent power efficiency (long sessions)
Not trying to max out one specific area — just want something well-rounded that handles both gaming and workloads well.
Which one would you pick and why?

IMO the RTX 5070 is superior for your usecase,
1080p easy, 1440p good, + all the new features which games tend to use more and more (dlss,RT)
Workloads AI/compute are way better on Nvidia cards and CUDA based systems
Stable drivers and reliability
VRAM is debatable at 12GB but would still be decent for atleast 5 years.
RTX 5070 is a very efficient power card.
Just my oppinion.
I run a likewise * hybrid* setup on a workstation with a rtx 5070, and can do everything i would like to do.

I was also considering nvidia but the 5070 has 12 gb vram in the same price of 9070 xt and the difference in 5070 to and 5070/9070 xt is 400 dollars.

Well you have to work with the funds u have available right, choose what fits u with as much of your checkmarks you can get.
My argument was purely if you can hold a little longer and save some more funds, you will be able to check all youre requirments/checkmarks, because right now you wont be able to 100% satisfy those checks atm between those selection of cards (5070 vanilla/9070xt).

Thanks for this amazing deal but sadly in my country supermicro is not available 😭😭

Oh no sorry found that bad deal. What county shipping in for parts? Any chance PCpartpicker has a site in your region to compare local retailers?

Workloads (AI/compute) are just as important as gaming = 5070, no argument here, if you can afford the jump to 5070ti obviously do it, if not the 5070 is more than good enough
Own-Indication5620@reddit
5070 all u need... u will like having DLSS long term.. much more useful in games. Also Nvidia tend to be best for applications n AI.. that's what u want.

Ima start by saying ive always had an nvidia gpu. I built my gf a 7800x3d with 5070 for 1080p. Had some issues there her gpu in my pc at 1440p and was very surprised at how it handled arc raiders same settings as my 5070ti. I would definitely go with the 5070 unless you can save a little more and get a 5070ti
Inkrypta@reddit
I know your budget is tight but, the best option ever for your case is 5070ti
Your setup is so easy to complete t's literally in the bible of pc building
So if you can push yourself a little you will be so happy with the result
Menorah_Fedora@reddit
The 9070 XT is the best price to performance GPU of this generation
coolboy856@reddit
5060 Ti 16gb is horrible value altogether, 5070 is bad value for gaming, AMD doesn't have CUDA cores.
Nvidia is the clear choice, 5070 or 5070 Ti if you can push the budget
Courtoiskm@reddit
9070 XT over 5070. If you find a 5070 ti around the same price of the 9070 XT go with that.
DirectionJazzlike372@reddit
9070 xt doesnt check the Workloads (AI/compute) are just as important as gaming, and lacks significally behind the rtx 5070ti.
If the dispute was for gaming only it would make more sense.
Courtoiskm@reddit
Exactly. Price to performance 9070 xt is superior than a 5070 in gaming 5070 is superior than 9070 in ai. 5070 it is better than both.
jbshell@reddit
For cost savings, might also look at 270K Plus CPU if needing more budget for GPU such as 5070 Ti.

AI = CUDA = Nvidia
Capital_Junket_4960@reddit
12GB will be very limiting in the long run.
5060Ti seems to be the best fit for your requirements.
