Generalized flammable, 1993, perfumery flammables 1266. sodium batteries 3551, some sort of hazardous solid 3077, lithium batteries 3480, organic acid 3265, and a corrosive solid 2923.
10lugthuggin@reddit
It's nuts that all that can be put together
happyexit7@reddit
Just Google the number, put the letters UN before the number and Google them. These numbers are used by first responders to assess hazards of the load from a distance. And they are used for segregation requirements.
NorthDriver8927@reddit
There’s also a good hazmat app you can download and it works well if you every come across a fella on the road in a situation. Open the app, zoom in with the camera and it’ll tell you how close is too close.
YVRkeeper@reddit
That’s ok. You don’t need to mention the name of the app. I’ll just zoom in with the camera and it will tell me.
NorthDriver8927@reddit
It’s called HazMat 2024
Any_Shopping1633@reddit
Is that the Emergency Response Guidebook in app form?
NorthDriver8927@reddit
It is yes.
GoMake_me_a_sandwich@reddit
Will the app also help with placarding, if I take pictures of the manifest s? I've been using some guides but I never thought about an app.
NorthDriver8927@reddit
It’ll help you with anything hazmat
10lugthuggin@reddit
I have my hazmat lol I know how it works I'm just saying it's crazy that you can do it
ksyoung17@reddit
Eh, as long as they're all in individual containers and properly packed and segregated, there's nothing here that's liable to get squirrely in transit. Lithium being in bulk mandating that placard is really the only thing I'd want to see how they packed.
Throw an oxidizer, or a 4.2 in there, and you have yourself a good time brewing.
happyexit7@reddit

FrYoungtrad@reddit
Do they just lump all the hazmat into one container bc of paperwork reasons?
Professional-Win5670@reddit
I haul hazmat. All of these things can be hauled together with no/minimal segregation. Class 9 doesn’t even have to be placarded if you’re hauling it domestically in the US, unless it’s bulk. We often use class 9 drums/pallets to easily segregate things like flammable liquids from oxidizers. Otherwise, we put the oxidizers on the tail of the trailer as far away from the flammables as possible.
Leather_Industry8483@reddit
Doesn't placard with numbers mean bulk?
Professional-Win5670@reddit
That would be correct
scottsplace5@reddit
3077 is copper sulfate. Don’t breathe it in, don’t ask me how I know. Don’t handle it when wet without gloves, don’t ask me how I know.
Wicell@reddit
3077 is environmentally hazardous solid. While you may have handled 3077 that was in fact copper sulfate, not all things listed as 3077 are copper sulfate.
scottsplace5@reddit
It, over the long term, will make your hands bleed. It doesn’t wash out. Touch it once, it will be okay, but don’t touch it again for the next 2 weeks. Allow the contaminated skin to die and fall off. Touch it wet every day and the damage compounds until it makes it through the skin to the blood. As for breathing it, it will hurt until your lungs and sinuses get rid of it. It can be up to an hour if it was too thick.

Haven't delt with ITL shipments but that's interesting to know.
MADLUX2015@reddit
Im a sea can hauler also, the us doesnt 100% follow the international code for all this stuff. It gets weird and confusing at times, and I've even had to educate dot officers that containers haulers have to follow international world wide standards. It's a hassle at times but simple really.
