The Miz from Real World?!

Was just watching American Idol and The Miz jumped up on stage to steal the mic from Seacrest. I honestly haven't seen him since he announced he was starting his wrestling career and didn't know how famous he's gotten (I also don't watch wrestling)
Bindlestiff34@reddit
Don’t get your hopes up. He’s been cursed more than once at this point by Danhausen, so things aren’t looking good.
DeuceOfDiamonds@reddit
I mean, he had a good run. But yeah, he's toast now.

I love that ridiculous human.
TheSpiteyBoosh@reddit
What about his human teeth?
DeaconBlackfyre@reddit
And the 20 human dollars?
purplecrayonadventur@reddit
Very nice. Very evil.
Negative-Wrap95@reddit
Love that Danhausen

Miz beat John Cena at the main event of a Wrestlemania. That’s how far he got in wrestling.
PuzzleheadedAbies678@reddit
So not too far then
disdain7@reddit
Actually, that’s a pretty big damn deal.
coci222@reddit
I just saw a video yesterday of him rating all of the sandwiches they sold at The Masters. He's been busy lately
Ive_Got_No_Control@reddit
I'm a huge Challenge fan so it was so cool to see him here lol
HillBillyMadman@reddit
The Miz from the WWE, you mean?
I kid. I do remember him from Real World, but he's had a great wrestling career.
Fillmore80@reddit
I would argue that he's the most successful real worlder ever
HillBillyMadman@reddit
Yeah, I'd think. I mean Heather B had some radio success, Eric Nies did some stuff. But Miz travels the world wrestling, and had some B-list movies and reality shows.
Spiritual-Promise402@reddit (OP)
🤣 yes! Apparently i need to play catch up!
HillBillyMadman@reddit
I don't follow WWE as much as I did but he's one I've always liked when I do throw it on.
Organic_Popcorn@reddit
That's how he started? I only know him from wwe

Coral! This was the last watchable season for me.
Muffin-sangria-@reddit
I think this was the last season I watched too.
Was vegas after this? I stopped like two episodes in.
Exciting-Argument-67@reddit
Same. Vegas was the end of the road for me and Real World. It had been headed in that direction for a few seasons, but it just got so tarted up in Vegas that it had zero similarities to the first few seasons.
Spiritual-Promise402@reddit (OP)
Coral is Queen energy!
Dorkinfo@reddit
We really hated our poor eyebrows back then.
Withnail_I_am_I_am@reddit
Yeah, he was the punching bag on Real World, being the small town boy from Ohio--incredibly naive--but he was evolving a lot and think he even became pretty good friends with one of the chicks from the cast, Coral (the one in the brown jacket in pic posted).
-Odi-Et-Amo-@reddit
The Miz was his alter ego on The Real World.
Cool_Jelly_9402@reddit
I saw him on NYE in 2005 or 06 in downtown Chicago bar. He was far shorter than I realized and was wearing shorts, old school hi-top shoes, 3 polo shirts with all their collars popped and his hair was spiked like 4 inches straight up
I have a picture of him somewhere that I wish I could upload
evanweb546@reddit
He's been a WWE employee for like... over 20 years I think? He's had a Hall of Fame worthy career. Battled his way to that position to. Nobody banked on him. He was bullied when he first started, due in part of his reality show fame. Dude stayed in there, did anything he was asked, showed up to every media appearance. He's a real company man.
Kinetic_Silverwolf@reddit
I thought he was in Road Rules, not Real World? Either way, every single second of film I've ever seen of him has had him looking and acting like he is completely devoid of morals, ethics, or a conscience. Not evil, just completely absent of care for humans, in much the same way a moose, wolf, or bear will look at a person with full detachment or concern.
Can I wish good for everything about his new American Gladiators gig except for him? He's a sticky slide sideways from the human garbage pile that was the last ex-wrestker host of that revived series.

HYThrowaway1980@reddit
Just googled him because I’ve never heard of him in either capacity, and apparently…

Spiritual-Promise402@reddit (OP)
Oh wow! He put in the work!! As lot of matches! I wonder if he took the role of comic relief mostly?
VampireOnHoyt@reddit
He's had a Hall of Fame-worthy career - 2x WWE Champion, tons of secondary and tag title reigns, a lot of great moments. He's super well respected in the business also.
TheSpiteyBoosh@reddit
2x Grand Slam Champion, he’s held every major belt at least twice.
Shortbus_Playboy@reddit
I went to college with him, he lived in the frat house basically right behind mine.
RetailBookworm@reddit
Lol I remember watching him on The Challenge when he was starting to do the wrestling stuff and it was so cheesy… was really surprised when he made it big.
squish042@reddit
I still can’t believe Theo Vonn found an audience

nor who our secretary of transportation is
Negative-Wrap95@reddit
Seriously.
BunnyoftheDesert@reddit
I was at a local trivia night and there was a question that was something like: wresting star The Miz was part of what reality show?
I had no idea he actually made it as a wrestler!
lmroe@reddit
Ooh, I have a pic with him, Ruthie, Rachel, and I think someone else taken around 2003. I should dig it out 🤣
switheld@reddit
i have a pic w/ ruthie from 1999/2000 somewhere! she and other cast mates did a big college tour or something - i remember watching them speak in one of our big lecture halls.
Queasy_Connection738@reddit
Man, I loved Ruthie. I thought I could fix that alky! lol

I remember watching him talk about being a wrestler on Real World and thinking even though he was goofy and an annoying character, it wasn't unbelievable to me to think he'd do it. And he did it. Props to him.
trippyhop@reddit
He’s very famous within the wrestling world - and is a pretty damn good pro-wrestler.
Lovefist1221@reddit
I went to a Superbowl party at a local restaraunt where a private party booked the second floor to benefit dog rescue and adoption. Price was right, great cause.
Turns out the foundation uses T.J. Lavin, host of the Challlenge. The event used YouTube premium on a projector, and changed to the Turning Point halftime.
2reeEyedG@reddit
Love this guy so much. He doesn’t get half the bad rap now as he used to either thank god and is much more respected
USAF_Retired2017@reddit
I love that dude. He’s so hilarious. I loved him on The Challenge and Road Rules.
call-lee-free@reddit
He's done quite good for himself since Real World.
Traditional_Isopod80@reddit
He most certainly has.
Yeti_Vedder@reddit
Not Mike from Real World. It’s Miz from WWE. One of the few who became a bigger star outside of being on early MTV reality tv shows.
Corn_Beefies@reddit
Dude did well for himself and did have to go full Trumptard conspiracy idiot to do it. Good for him.
DaveinOakland@reddit
Same way I feel every time I see Theo Vonn
Sodamyte@reddit
He was also on the second season of "House of Villains"
Significant-Style-73@reddit
? Was he a guest for a challenge? He wasn't part of the main cast.
Sodamyte@reddit
Oops that was Mr pectacular.. I'll delete.

😲
MommaOfManyCats@reddit
He was on Dancing with the Stars and came across as such a sweetheart! We voted for him 🙂
disappointedCoati@reddit
I liked his reality show.
villainoust@reddit
He was into wrestling on the show so I’m happy to see he realized his dream.
CorgiMonsoon@reddit
Also that he was able to use the experience on The Real World to actually do some self reflection and growth. I knew him socially prior to the show. We grew up in the same area and would occasionally cross paths at parties and what not. I can’t imagine where he’d be if he hadn’t had some of those eye-opening experiences in the house
Verbull710@reddit
Seacrest almost out
BlazedGigaB@reddit
Cleveland Rocks!
detourne@reddit
He's had a hall of fame worthy wrestling career over the last 20 years. He'll also be hosting the new American Gladiators reboot.
Spiritual-Promise402@reddit (OP)
That's amazing. I'm definitely watching AG
detrimental@reddit
I remember finding out a few years back he made it to being an acctual wrestler. I was kinda shocked. The guy who told me was shocked I had no idea, and that I knew the him/the character from MTV when I was in high school.
Guy made it happen. Good for him.
