I would probably have shat myself, Brave dude or lady.
NoAttention3900@reddit
It's investigating it knows humans 😁
bdh2067@reddit
I Would definitely piss myself
Maelstrom_Witch@reddit
I would fatally defecate all over the board. All of my organs. Sheer terror.

😂

I was in my husband's lorry this winter. We had 0º and POLISHED ice, with rain on top. And we were backing down a hill when we lost traction and we were just sliding. According to my husband we were always fine, but I was terrified.
That day I learned something about myself. I'm not the type to piss or shit myself with fear. I'm the kind who go ice cold and sweaty then when the adrenaline goes down uncontrollably shake and vomit.
So that's what I assume I would do in this situation: blow chunks.
peanutspump@reddit
I would have lost consciousness, fallen down and drowned, as soon as I saw that orca. Well, I wouldn’t be in the ocean to begin with, lol, but hypothetically 😳
bodinator1@reddit
All divers do , it is convenient. 😉
Icy-Variation6614@reddit
Helps your wetsuit keep you warm!
Andu_Mijomee@reddit
I want to say I'd do the same, but honestly I'd do it just setting foot on the board and kicking away from shore so that ain't saying much.

Same
Any_Constant_6550@reddit
Orcas technically aren't whales.
OnePragmatic@reddit
They still don't know we have a liver.......😳🤭
Ilovebirdstoomuch@reddit
Orcas are extremely intelligent they definitely know, but they choose not to attack us
Ilovebirdstoomuch@reddit
This would be the best day of my life
noideawhatisup@reddit
It’s good the person was on a paddle board and not a yacht. And now we know orcas mess with the big, fancy, likely-polluting boats and not simple paddle boards.
PamperedGhoul614@reddit
That is so fucking cool

The baby was curious
Mervwolfington@reddit
Def just coming up to see if seal shaped thing was in fact a seal.
Upon seeing it was a stick holding human on a platform, nah not a snack.

Copy and pasting from the last time I saw this posted:
This is in New Zealand. Kiwi orcas only eat stingrays, small sharks and fish. Given how good their eyesight and echolocation is, there is effectively zero chance they were confused about whether or not he was any of those. They are also known to be quite curious and there are many clips of them approaching divers, kayakers and boats, often in the latter case at their own peril, unfortunately. Sometimes they even offer us food

Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Man, Brian Skerry & Paul Nicklen get all the luck.
I want an apex predator to give ME food.
_Kendii_@reddit
No lol. Not at all.
They use echolocation and can tell the density and shit of stuff in the water. It would know the board wasn’t food, probably still curious why it was there. “Oh. Human. Of course”
Probably wasn’t looking to see seal. They aren’t like sharks. Still funny though.

I feel like it would be weird to not keep your cool. Orcas have disabled some ships in the past few years, yes, but they have a long history of cooperating with humans over several generations to catch fish, and I think we have like unwritten rules in our species that we don't hurt each other. In all the years we've been on the planet, there's not a single recorded case of a wild orca actually harming a human directly. This orca was just curious and gave this person an incredible gift with their presence.
Prestigious-Tog-2883@reddit
I've had a few surprise swims like that myself, but damn, he stayed way calmer than I ever could.
Icy_Sea_4440@reddit
I would be so freaked out in the moment but it must be such a beautiful experience to encounter a whale in the wild like this. I love how they zoom off as if they were embarrassed that they were yelled at haha.

Magnificent piece of film he/she just checking out who or what is in their territory, lol..love it-although only from a distance would not love it up close and personal. Kiwi orca post here New Zealand

Hey! Hey, do I know you? Do you wanna be friends? Wanna play? Look, I can go really fast! Come find me!!!
Andu_Mijomee@reddit
I really can't tell for sure, but since it looks like it might be a juvenile to me, this line of thought feels appropriate.
Imcookin92@reddit
Thought this too. It was a little baby
KarmaticEvolution@reddit
Let me taste this weird shaped thing that’s sort of the same color as a seal…oh, not a seal, okay byeeeeee!
Tardisgoesfast@reddit
Yikes!!
Treehouse80@reddit
Were you in the San Juan’s!!! This would be so spectacular!!
whileurup@reddit
Did, did you jab at him with your paddle?
No judgment. Just awe of the situation in general. That's all..

I would love this!
