The best soda you ever drank was served in these cups, and it was placed beside the best pizza you ever ate.

If you’re implying that Pizza Hut was “best pizza” you are completely delusional. Sorry, nostalgia is powerful and I know you’re being a bit facetious but let’s be real, it’s mass produced pizza from a chain. It’s perfectly fine, but nowhere close to being “the best”.

os_beef@reddit
Honestly no. The best pizza was from My Pizza in Morgan Hill, CA. It was the Chicken Masterpiece, and no one who hasn't had it will get it. It's not your average "white sauce" pizza. I don't know what it is, but it's magic. We always brought it home and ate it.
When I still lived in the area but had moved out of town, I'd travel about 60 miles just to pick one up. I'd eat half of the first one before I got home, and share the rest with my wife over the next several days. I still haven't found anything that compares.
Unfortunately the quality has gone down over the years, but it's still better than literally any other joint in the Bay Area.

mosesoperandi@reddit
Took me a minute of scrolling to get here. The best pizza I've had falls in two categories. First, the truly great New York slices. For me this was primarily 2003 to 2005, but that's just an accident of when I lived in NYC. Those slices existed before and still exist. The second is since the mid 2000's but really starting in the 2010's when the whole wood fired gourmet pizza trend fully caught. 1980's pizza parlor slices don't even make my top 10.

Disgusting.
I've a terrible memory of this place. I like, haaaaate pizza. And on my 11th birthday, after a birthday party, the family decides "We're going out to celebrate with dinner." Fully watched my face just drop as we pull into this fucking restaurant parking lot. Like...it's MY birthday and you take me out to a place I can't eat a thing? C'mon.
I don't have a relationship with any of them nowadays.

RIP old school dinning room style Pizza Hut.
Now all Pizza Hut does is give me diarrhea...
KentStater@reddit
Stumbled on this one in central Florida last week. Apparently Pizza Hut is redesigning some locations to be ‘classic’ style
Dombat927@reddit
But is the pizza classic style? The crap the one near us puts out is what childhood dreams dying tastes like.
Dark_Shroud@reddit
To get the original taste you have to order Original Pan from locations that serve it.
I found an original Red Roof Pizza Hut back in 2024 off the interstate while traveling through Missouri. I got a large half cheese half sausage, Best pizza I'd had in years.
