Secondary old monitor not working on new pc.

I have an old monitor as a secondary but its not getting any signal in my new pc. It only uses VGA and DVI so I have to use a DP to DVI converter but its not getting any signal. On my old (quadro k2200) it was working with a converter but when I try it with my new pc(rtx 5070) it doesnt work. Also I tried plugging it back to my old one again and I couldnt get it to work there either. Is there some setting that gets it working or whats the case?

Nevermind, found a HDMI straight to DVI cable and got it working.

What's the model number of the monitor?

If the monitor isn't working on the old PC where it used to work, I'm going to assume that the monitor is simply broken.

The monitor is working when I plugged it straight DVI into DVI on old gpu. I tried a second dp to dvi adapter aswell and no signal.

Can you try an HDMI to DVI adapter?

dont have one lying around. Would it be worth a shot buying one to try, I could just return it afterwards if it doesnt work.

It sounds like an analog/digital problem.
DVI can do either analog (DVI-A), digital (DVI-D), or both (DVI-I, integrated). Some devices, cables, and adapters are only meant for either Analog or Digital, not both.
Most likely your old monitor and/or cabling can only do DVI-A. Your DP to DVI adapter is trying to push DVI-D.

Well it worked on my old pc with the same adapter so I guess it shouldn't be the adapter problem?

Your DP to DVI adapter is trying to push DVI-D when using your new GPU, which your monitor doesn't support.

I checked the ports. Monitor has an DVI-D(dual link) port, cable is DVI-D(single link) and DP to DVI adapter is DVI-D(dual link aswell). Idk if the cable is problem, monitor is only 1080p 60hz so it shouldnt have problem with the cable and it was working last time anyway.
