Same as any other long term internet personality - he's just been making the same content for too long. And I don't think it's really much of a priority for him other than a way to generate some amount of passive income, because roasting the Cybertruck and its buyers in 2026 is about 2 years too late. There's nothing left to say about it that hadn't already been said somewhere else in the interim.

At some point people just grow tired of the same old thing. whatever version of the internet that he started in no longer exists, but there he is, trudging on like the kid who never left his small home town after college. He kept telling himself he was going to apply to jobs in a real city elsewhere, or do a year abroad with some nonprofit while he had the time and lack of competing responsibilities. But then like so many others, there he is a decade later still doing the safe thing comfortably beneath his level. It won't hurt him, but the ceiling is the floor. The world moved on yet he never did. Without noticing, two more generations of youtubers were born, hit it big, and then disappeared into the same chasm of irrelevance as their audience got a little older and the medium changed around them. It's Pablo Francisco still doing the movie preview voice 20 years after its namesake died. That's the hard part of creative fields: you either find ways to be new again, or you're old.
