PC won’t turn on?

Hey gang me again I fear. So a few hours ago my pc was fine then it started doing this thing where the keyboard and mouse weren’t working despite lights being on? So did what I do unplugged the cords, tried turning the pc off and on again would work for a second then stop again so I decided to turn the pc off and fully unplug it from the wall but now it won’t turn back on? I have tried turning it on via the button and have tried holding the button down for a while to see if that works but all that happens is the light that usually turns on to mean it’s starting up blinks a bit if that makes sense? I’m gonna be honest my skills around this stuff really only involve unplugging things and turning stuff off and on so any advice about what’s going on even if it’s just “get a whole new pc this one is dead” would be appreciated.

It sounds life your psu has snuffed it. Options are to get a new psu or get your current one repaired. Don't open up the psu unless you know what you're doing. If you get a new psu, never reuse the cables from the old psu, even if you are replacing with the same make and model. If you are not plugged in via a surge protector, get one, especially if you live in the US or other third world country with dirty electricity.

It could be something else but to adequately test a psu you need a multimeter, a paperclip and a whole lot of patience.
