Six hot dogs for lunch is wild that’s like a years supply of hot dogs
salchicha_mas_grande@reddit
Imagine eating 6 hot dogs and rice and trying not to pass the fuck out at your desk after lunch
No-Reading-4384@reddit
How much does he weigh? I could only eat a couple of those and about half that Rice.
FoxMcCloud3173@reddit
This shit is luxurious compared to what i eat at work 😭

EmploymentAbject4019@reddit
I basically just had this for lunch but it was gift wrapped with seaweed.
fairlyoddberry@reddit
i once worked with a guy who asked me “guess what i just had on my lunch break?” and i fully expected him to be like “taco bell” “a sandwich” etc but nah this guy said “7 hotdog buns.” no dogs. just buns. this is like that except the opposite lmao
librarycynic@reddit
Combine these two and you've got a pretty decent meet-cute.
meowmeoowwww@reddit
It's kinda sad meal, not shitty
shameonyounancydrew@reddit
6 hotdogs is hardcore
jakeologia@reddit
Basic filipino food 😆
scratchy_mcballsy@reddit
Maybe in an overly-sweet spaghetti, but we have a lot more respect for food. This doesn’t even have a fried egg or garlic in the rice lol.
1-800-ASS-DICK@reddit
yeah was gonna say it's at least one fried egg away from being a solid meal
howfuckedareyou@reddit
I’d eat that with some banana ketchup and call it a day
TropicalVision@reddit
I always wondered - Filipinos are everywhere but you never seen Filipino restaurants really, and now I think I know the reason why
scratchy_mcballsy@reddit
You have to find the pocket Manila neighborhoods (Bay Area, Bergenfield NJ, parts of Canada). I think it’s more of the family/food culture that makes Filipinos cook more at home. Not to mention the lack of Asian ingredients in typical grocery stores outside of that region.
thinspirit@reddit
Never thought about that but it makes sense.
Every Filipino person I know always offers a tonne of food whenever I'm over. They're always making and sharing food. You'd never need to eat out being in and around Filipino homes.
unfeelingzeal@reddit
filipino food is amazing. so many saucey, soupy dishes bursting with flavor. there are some restaurants around but none close enough for me to visit often. here in socal they tend to be concentrated near the coastal cities.
Shaw-One@reddit
Bro I was like, What’s the problem here? Haha
bougnvioletrosemallo@reddit
Needs scrambled eggs and ketchup.
Desperate-Excuse-110@reddit
What was shocking to me was more the 6 hot dogs. I feel like that’s a lot of glizzies
Direct_Shock_2884@reddit
donkeyrocket@reddit
Are people unaware that hotdogs come cooked?
BrainDivots@reddit
Nahhhh you can see they’ve been boiled! They’ve got a little split in the casing going on, it’s fineeeeee.
Direct_Shock_2884@reddit
That is probably from the microwave at work. They haven’t been boiled enough!
BrainDivots@reddit
Yeah I forgot the part of the coworker microwaving them…it’s fineeee. Maybe this guy just likes the shape, not the taste. Who can say lol
BrainDivots@reddit
Ahaha right?! This may as well be a menu item at Jollybees
grzilla@reddit
Just needs ketchup.
EggsMcToastie@reddit
Needs some sauce. Some siracha and kewpie mayo and it'll be alright.
Tokyo885_@reddit
The fact that he took it out, the microwave in front of y'all is worse
WorkingPumpkin3231@reddit
Don't lie OP, we know you are the Glizzy Gobbler.
AkijoLive@reddit (OP)
Damn, caught my hand in the sausages
(I'd at least cook them before)
Mediocre-Contest7558@reddit
They looked boiled or something
KillerCroc67@reddit
Yeah looks boiled then just reheated in microwave
AkijoLive@reddit (OP)
They're micro-waved. I don't count that as "cooked"
Mockturtle22@reddit
You can eat them straight out of the package. They are cooked
Dr_Tacopus@reddit
They’re fully cooked in the package. All you need to do is warm them up. They’re completely safe to eat cold too
RecalcitrantHuman@reddit
Nah man. Not safe. Your soul is meant to be eternal
Dr_Tacopus@reddit
This is nonsense
jasonloid2011@reddit

AkijoLive@reddit (OP)

Dr_Tacopus@reddit
It’s not ideal, but they did microwave them at least lol.
Aurius3D@reddit
That's a pretty weird distinction to make. These are oscarmeyer wieners. It's not fine dining.

AkijoLive@reddit (OP)
I think I should've mentionned in the post that he's not struggling at all and that he knows I made the post.
yumi365@reddit
😆 🤣 😂..It's very odd then.😂
18hockey@reddit
Man that's like ~900 calories in glizzies alone. Probably another ~300 in rice. Bulk season or what, damn

Why did you accept to make him this lunch? T.T
continuetolove@reddit
Lmao I would never 💀 I was just joking because my husband really likes hotdogs, but he’s dignified and uses a bun or other appropriate hotdog delivery method

Aside from a fried corn dog or hot dog on a stick at a campfire, what are other appropriate delivery methods?

6 glicks raw on a bed of dry unseasoned white rice... You better be nice to him, maybe he'll let you live.
cwcam86@reddit
That rice is getting seasoned by the hot dog juices
Gay_Void_Dropout@reddit
No. No it isn’t. That’s not what seasoning is. Learn what words mean lol.
cormega@reddit
Cooking meat with high fat content over rice/veggies/etc isn't a new cooking concept. The fat drippings do flavor the food underneath.
ragun2@reddit
Yeah and he could just add soy sauce right after. We grew up with hotdogs and rice. Delicious.
cwcam86@reddit
People cook roasts over potatoes & such and those potatoes absorb the roast juice. This is the same thing. Have you never cooked before?
Direct_Shock_2884@reddit
You don’t even have to squeeze them out the salmonella colonizes the rice itself

ObiOneKenobae@reddit
It's like 1000 calories, with hardly any nutrients.

That is, conservatively, about 1000 calories just in the hot dogs alone.
scratchy_mcballsy@reddit
I’m more worried about the sodium levels.
BobWat99@reddit
Soy sauce, lard, and a fried egg would make this so much better!
peva3@reddit

AkijoLive@reddit (OP)
His girlfriend made it for him, she wanted to give him normal hotdogs but he wanted a bed of white rice instead
OverlordSI@reddit
6 hotdogs: 6 x 150 calories = 900 calories 1.5 cups of rice = 1.5 x 200 = 300 calories.
1200 calories is a pretty big lunch.
DankStew@reddit
Why can’t he just tape them all to his body like a regular person
ChefSnackhole@reddit
I've been staring at this for two minutes trying to figure out which ingredient was the afterthought
the rice is what gets me. that's preparation. that's planning. this was premeditated.

BrainDivots@reddit
The people I’ve seen that eat this way everyday are some of the more well off people I know haha or maybe this guy just likes glizzies for the shape, not the taste.
MadamVoid@reddit
Omg 😭😭😭😭 he could’ve chopped and sautéed them with onions and peppers (a bitof ketchup to coat them)
Imcookin92@reddit
Are they Asian? Did they eat it with sriracha?
AkijoLive@reddit (OP)
No, as white as he can get
BrainDivots@reddit
Does he have Filipino friends? This looks like something I’d see my buddy’s bring to school or work, or I’ve seen a lot of spaghetti and cut up hot dogs at the birthdays, BBQs etc. Some of the best food I’ve ever had were at those parties. Whole roast pig? Yessssss please!
Imcookin92@reddit
Oh! This is an Asian struggle meal we have it with sriracha. Times were tough growing up with immigrant parents.
