Considering a Yacht Club on Long Island. Any tips or recommendations?

Boat owner for 6 years now, but not super familiar with Yacht clubs apart from the occasional racing with skipper friends. Any recommendations for Yacht Clubs on Long Island (preferably Nassau county, north shore tight now but may consider moving my boat to south).
I know some yacht club are right now offering introductory first year rates. Are full dues generally much more expensive?
I have a toddler as well; not really sure I will be able to fully take advantage of the social life; any first hand experiences would be super helpful as well.
Thanks community!!

Sea Cliff yacht club was cool when I used to finish the Around Long Island Regatta.

I believe Sea Cliff is a Brewer’s yard as well - which means when you cruise you can coordinate with other Brewer yards that they will have a transient take your slip and you can take other empty slips at other Brewer yards

What kind of boat do you have? Do you want to race? Do you care if its one-design or handicapped?

I have a 34ft sailboat. Mostly day cruising, I haven’t been racing so far. Not interested in racing, but could crew for other skippers from time to time. I assume a racing community is a main benefit of joining a yacht club. Any others you think a sailor would enjoy? Not really sure what to expect to be honest!

Having your boat at a club where you can dock the boat, use the facilities and have other liked-minded people around is why you go to a club at all... if you're racing then often it makes sense to pick a club where there is a fleet of the same boat as yours.

Susquehanna Corinthian in Oyster Bay is the way to go. Super friendly bunch, a cool bar, and a great racing program.
