350 legend mossberg patriot to a 223
I'm looking for some help if it's possible to take the barrel off of my 350 legend patriot and replace it with a barrel for a 223. Pretty similar rounds diameter wise (base of the round measurement).
if there is anyone who knows how to do it and/or could lend some tips, TIA.

Its a bolt action rifle, unless it has some sort of quick swap barrel system its not as easy as just "buy a barrel and put it on"
its a 500 dollar gun, once you buy a new barrel and pay someone to swap it you probably could have just bought a new gun.

You're also going to have to find a barrel. They aren't like AR15 barrels and available everywhere. A new barrel is going to cost almost as much as a new gun.

Yes, it uses the same upper receiver, lower receiver and bolt carrier group as the 223. Buy a barrel and put it on.

Same action length, barrels are easy to get.
The base diameter is pretty close to 5.45x39. 5.45 bolts tend to work okay with 5.56 but not perfect, extractor fitting helps. I'd be surprised if the 5.56 extractor wasn't a drop in part that's easy to find.
