Why not ask the owner to buy or resorting it ? To its former glory days ????
CashWideCock@reddit
The owner has a collection of old logging and mining equipment.
sofus88@reddit
Then take the environment in consideration its not the best thing to let it "rot" there
Weightlifter96@reddit
It’s like the driver just hopped out and walked off and no one ever came back for it.
driver004@reddit
At a certain point you just gotta walk away
CaptainSloth269@reddit
And stop before you end up walking back to it.
RoryDragonsbane@reddit
I know what's wrong with it... ain't got no gas innit
PocketSizedRS@reddit
They even left it running!
JohnProof@reddit
My dumb ass definitely had a second where I thought the engine noise was coming from that relic....
fistfullofpubes@reddit
I'd like to think that the truck had recurring mechanical issues that just sucked a ton of time and money, and when it finally gave out for the umpteenth time, this go around the driver had enough and just said fuck it I'm done.
PowerUpTheLighthouse@reddit
Driver gave it one last slap and said “that ain’t goin’ no’ where…” and then walked off onto the sunset
IIKoopaQueenII@reddit
Rumor has it that he's still walking into the sunset to this very day.
CashWideCock@reddit
For those wondering, this is at the entrance to Liberty Rock Products in Sweet Home, Oregon. There’s other antique equipment on display as well.
NostradamusJones@reddit
Do you have any information on make and model of truck?
CashWideCock@reddit
No, sorry.
NostradamusJones@reddit
Oh well, thanks.
OHW_Tentacool@reddit
Holy shit i drive by this thing all the time! Its right outside Sweethome Oregon! Place behind it is a quarry now.
lindydanny@reddit
That's got to be AI, right?
mrsclausemenopause@reddit
Nope thisnis in Sweet Home Oregon
Subsevenn@reddit
Looks like the passenger drive tires got dug in. They may have planned on trying to get it unstuck eventually. Eventually never came.
frankwizza71@reddit
ETA?
Mystery_Chaser@reddit
An ancient creature left to rot upon?
sicksixgamer@reddit
Interesting story here. That log had to be worth some money. To just leave the whole rig and log seems suboptimal.
Darkhelmet3000@reddit
That log may have been a cull. If they cut it as a snag, the mill would’ve rejected it.
PotRoast666@reddit
Gotta' have been a large operation where this wasn't the only truck pulling logs of this scale out of the forest. An operation big enough to justify leaving the truck, trailer, and log in place and just keep moving. Looks like it was legit just towed off the side of the trail and business probably continued as usual.
rvaworm@reddit
Just spray in a can of starter fluid and she will purr like a kitten again
Reddit_Is_a_jokee@reddit
Spray Paint "in tow" on the back and send it.
ONE-EYE-OPTIC@reddit
Is this in Oregon?
CashWideCock@reddit
Yes, Sweet Home, Oregon.
ONE-EYE-OPTIC@reddit
I knew it! I just drove by it a few weeks ago.
Realistic-Stop-231@reddit
That thing is so cool! Man i want to see it move again, that'd be really sweet. One. More. Haul!
7399Jenelopy@reddit
I wonder what happened.
CashWideCock@reddit
The owner put it on display at the entrance to his rock quarry, that’s what happened.
LordRaven74@reddit
A sad ending to a hard working truck.
AtlanticBeachNC@reddit
Oxides to oxides, rust to rust… The old truck sits awaiting the ultimate fate.
LanceWasHere@reddit
That log was worth a pretty penny
EnoughLuck3077@reddit
How pretty?
csbsju_guyyy@reddit
Almost as pretty as you!
LivingtheDBdream@reddit
Oh stop, you say that to all the pennies! blushes
yellowsubmarine2016@reddit
Get a room
EnoughLuck3077@reddit
Oh you charmer you. You sure know how to make a boy blush
kndwy@reddit
How long would the tires hold the air? Serious question.
KoreanTrucking@reddit
Any diesel inside? Getting expensive out here
Philliesfan4fun@reddit
How and why are the tires still inflated?
Cultural_Finger5316@reddit
That thing will probably start up again
Fibrosis5O@reddit
Truck: I’m ready for one more haul… this log is heavier than I remember… just let me rest here for a bit…
Ploddit71@reddit
Back in the good old days in 240p
PowerUpTheLighthouse@reddit
Driver gave it one last slap and said “that ain’t goin’ no’ where…” and then walked off onto the sunset
External_Nothing7115@reddit
Jeeper Creepers last job.
Batintfaq@reddit
This reminds me of the logging trains abandoned deep in the old woods of Maine. They're still parked on the tracks and just rotting away up there. Look up Ghost Trains of the Allagash.
Specialist-Alarm5150@reddit
Odds are owner operator died of heart attack. They removed the body but not the truck.
Routier_lub@reddit
Is your truck idling? Burning money.
Danko-0100101@reddit
Very cool, what truck is it?
Quizzii@reddit
The guy was like. Nah fuck it i go home and call it a day.
0263111771@reddit
Back when trees were trees!
Jamo3306@reddit
Damn. Thing looks like it started hauling logs the week after the fall of Rome. ⏳️
firemarshalbill316@reddit
That was the Creeper's first job from the movie Jeepers Creepers.
TojoftheJungle@reddit
Outside drive tire could use some air. Good little truck
NostradamusJones@reddit
Was I a good truck?
You were the best truck.
