Super ego absolutely destroyed on 60 minutes last night

60 minutes to the big piece on chameleon trucking companies that changed their name and registration after they rack up safety violations. Most of the peace was spent on super ego with drivers willing to go on Camera saying how the company would reset their driving clocks so they could drive 18 hours a day and then when the driver acted up violations, they were just reincorporate them as a new company. They had the head of FHMCSA on for a brief interview and he said they were one of their top 10 companies on their radar. Didn’t realize that they were run out of an eastern European country. apparently the rate sheet cheating is still going on and the company makes $1 million-$2 million a week off of it according to a dispatcher who agreed to be interviewed on camera but with a hidden identity. Don’t see how they’re gonna survive.
DrillTheThirdHole@reddit
nothing will happen until jail time starts getting dished out for the people that profit off of letting shitbags run overtime like that
radujohn75@reddit
Just about every outfit out of ShitCago is running like that. These losers just made it at a bigger scale.
Serbians, russians, ukrainians, bulgarians, croats, turks, arabs ... you name them, they all have someone that manages their ELD, with admin access. How do you think they run that cheap? They make money on volume, not on individual runs. And guess what ... Amazon and other companies love that, because they get discounts
DrillTheThirdHole@reddit
yes, and those guys should also go to prison. i just got an ad on instagram that seems to be for a sacramento-chicago run, but the entire ad is in cyrillic letters. even the application instructions.
fucking unacceptable.
Leelze@reddit
The problem is if they're being run out of different countries it's more likely middle management in the States seeing jail time, leaving the real problems free to start again.
DrillTheThirdHole@reddit
then keep jailing the middle management until nobody is willing to take that risk for them. these people are putting the public's lives in danger, and anyone within reach should be paying the price. they could also start confiscating equipment to boot. running cheap freight with cheap drivers suddenly doesnt make sense when your entire management stateside goes to prison and all your trucks get confiscated every single time you're caught.
Own-Let675@reddit
For Sure!
Previous-Height4237@reddit
Yea seriously. Just because someone is ordering others to do something, doesn't mean those individuals following orders are not committing the crime. Those individuals/middle management here are more than free to quit and/or whistleblow.
Firm-Rip-2133@reddit
SuperEgo specifically is affiliated with the Serbian PM/dictator Aleksandar Vučić and is shadow owned by his brother.
https://nova.rs/vesti/svet/super-ego-holding-veze-vucica-i-afere-u-sad/
The story broke in Serbia last year but it was widely known beforehand. You wouldn't be surprised to hear that the company also has poor reputation as a local employer and has been tied to assaults on local, smaller competitors in the space and pays its workers as contractors which is an even greater offence than doing so in the US.
Vučić was very tight with Maduro and is also involved with drug trafficking so I wouldn't be surprised if this was the fall of an overdue hammer because he got his fingers in all the wrong holes.
JohnProof@reddit
Yep. Until bosses and CEOs start seeing felonies for fraud and labor law violations, then these things just get incorporated into the cost of doing business. And seeing how we're currently going backwards on a lot of corporate regulation, I don't see those changes coming any time soon.
RectumRavager69@reddit
While most people knew all of this already that are actually in the industry it's nice to see it being exposed to the common public. To be fair though most of the super ego drivers I've spoken with are dumb enough that they still wouldn't quit even if they saw this.
Firm-Rip-2133@reddit
It's getting exposed because SuperEgo is affiliated with some people who are not in the good graces of the administration.
knotworkin@reddit (OP)
How big of a crook do you have to be to not be in the good graces of Crook-in-Chief?
Firm-Rip-2133@reddit
Easy. SuperEgo is directly tied to the Serbian political elite (the president and his family). That same elite campaigned for the Clintons for a while, is very buddy-buddy with China and is heavily implicated in intestinal drug trafficking.
NikolaGoatic15@reddit
Yes its true but also Vucic ( the president of Serbia ) went from shitting on Clinton in the late 90s-2000s to donating to Clintons foundation to then again shitting on them and supporting Trump once Trump became the president, hes basically a whore 😅
radujohn75@reddit
Ok ... so no proof being related to Trump. I mean, I donated to both parties in the past, so then I am accessory, because I donated $5. Laughable 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
radujohn75@reddit
Like I always say anytime I post something, show us the proof. Because my attic is full of stories, but none of them are real.
Lamour_de_Dieu@reddit
Screw em all
radujohn75@reddit
Yeah ... keep dreaming. Nah. They are not far from a somalian daycare style scam, and now it is their time to get investigated.
wrme@reddit
You understand that there was no Somali daycare scam? It was all a racist hysteria, a digital KKK rally. The only lawsuits right now are libel lawsuits against rightwing grifter Nick Shirley.
radujohn75@reddit
That's what they're telling you? Well you go along with that story, and see where it leads. Some of the investigations were already going on since 2022. But I bet you had no clue about that
wrme@reddit
ALL investigations were going on before Nick Shirley had his little Klan rally in my city, and NONE of them are related to widespread fraud by Somali people. They were just regular, run of the mill issues with compliance that go on in any state with a good regulation and compliance government system.
If there was a single lawsuit that came out of Nick Shirley, name it. It should be easy. If there is a single lawsuit over widespread Somali daycare fraud, name it.
More than likely, you fell for Shirley's half-baked racists lies- lies that he made a lot of money grifting for.
radujohn75@reddit
Like I always say, the proof is out there you just have to search for it. I didn't fall for anything other than the actual facts and proof
Simply by calling Nick Shirley racist shows that you are already biased against all these facts
ShiddyBoddemz@reddit
You spelled Serbian wrong...
radujohn75@reddit
I know. Each nation with their own scams
daemonescanem@reddit
That can be fixed easily with some cash & appropriate public dick sucking of Trump.
SageAnowon@reddit
I would hope crooks like these wouldn't be in the good graces of any administration.

I also heard that the BREAD OF LIFE is JESUS CHRIST.
what yall know about this?
MOODkilla2300@reddit
Yeah it's a wrap for them after that.
bombilla42@reddit
Nah. It ain't... You know damn well that they'll be back as a different entity.
Significant-Belt8516@reddit
Something that this news piece absolutely doesn't mention and that needs to be addressed is all of the illegals that California put on the road that can't read, speak or understand english. It's good that they are addressing what super ego is doing but as an American who drives on the highway for over an hour a day we need to address the illegal situation and put that into the spotlight.
I have a feeling this omission was intentional sadly.
bombilla42@reddit
DOT needs to put a giant geofence from Stockton to Tracy and out to Yuba City to corral. well... IYKYK
knotworkin@reddit (OP)
It wasn’t an omission, it’s a different story. This focused on bad trucking companies that skirt the rules and then change their names when they’ve racked up too many safety violations.
Im_GumbyDammit@reddit
It all had to do with the Joe Biden yearsand his border jumpers. They didn’t only come from South America and Somalia. They came from Ukraine and Poland any anywhere and everywhere. The rules for illegals to start a business was severely relaxed. The government pretty much payed them tax dollars to stay here. The money the illegal drivers made was tax free . The entire thing was a scam on us legit truckers. Just so they could import voters.
x31b@reddit
I watched that episode. They really slayed SuperEGO.
But one thing... it looked like SuperEGO drivers were running under different ICC MC numbers, and not one for the company. Are they like a broker and not running under their own number?
pingus3233@reddit
SuperEGO contracts out to 3rd party carriers e.g. Jordan, Rocket etc. like how the Amazon Prime trailers are run by contractors.
SaberSpyder@reddit
They arent third party carriers mate, although they arent under Aleksandar Mimic name ( owner of super ego) they are under name of his cousins and other relatives but he runs them its all just one giant company thats why its a HOLDING
Oob13@reddit
That was actually the most shocking thing about the report on 60 minutes, they did not use the word allegedly. They straight up accused them.
What a major news organization does that, that means they're extremely certain in their reporting. They're prepared to go into court and defend it kind of reporting.
knotworkin@reddit (OP)
Yes Super ego just acting as a freight broker and leasing company.
WolvTheHero@reddit
Probably affiliated carrier authorities
Mystery_Chaser@reddit
Corporate barons and pedophiles. If you're one of the two, you pretty much have a get out of jail free card right now.
SchityCityGangBang@reddit
We already have systems in place to check out and certified drivers for drugs under the clearing house program. I literally don’t understand why it would be so hard to tie carriers to the Vin numbers of the equipment. They drive. It doesn’t seem like a complicated problem to solve to me.
widgetsforeveryone@reddit
So many companies, not enough feds
jmcdaniel0@reddit
I think they said 700,00 companies currently operating…. That’s insane.
Nero-Danteson@reddit
They do. If a tractor is registered to a company it'll say the company. If it's registered to an individual it'll say that person's name.
InvstrJester@reddit
I could’ve sworn that they had an American name
Existing_Meeting_318@reddit
Why is it only 13 minutes?
knotworkin@reddit (OP)
Because they do 3 stories per show. Then you have the lead in with story teasers, commercials, follow up comments on old stories, preview of next week. Suddenly an hour is gone.
Existing_Meeting_318@reddit
Will this continue or was that it?
Distinct-Event-7472@reddit
Saw it on YouTube we haven’t had reporting like this in ages aside from that Shirley kid
knotworkin@reddit (OP)
When I was growing up there was a saying, you knew you were in deep doo-doo if a 60 minutes film crew was in your lobby asking for responses to questions. We need hard hitting journalism to keep the government honest about doing their job to protect us from bad companies.
crdog@reddit
Fucking a. I can tell so many stories about this absolute worst (larger) company on the road right now.
LikwidHappiness@reddit
The only other two companies that actually scare me to be around on the road would be Amazon and Western Express. Is it either of those?
crdog@reddit
Lol yes, and First Fleet
Livid_Individual_764@reddit
I was fighting through traffic today with one of their drivers. They sucked. 😂
geneticdeadender@reddit
Ripping off drivers seems like a common industry practice though.
I got ripped off every paycheck when I worked for SWIFT 30 years ago. I kept a journal and could prove they owed me but the discrepancies were chronic and aggregious. I know a lot of drivers didn't keep records like I did.
Probably SWIFT execs could point to a company policy about how to treat drivers, but the paychecks are written at the terminals. The execs could deny everything but they knew that a highly profitable terminal that moves freight at 57 miles an hour can only make profits far and above that by ripping off someone.
yeah-no-yeah-no@reddit
Yep, me too! I work for US Xpress currently (now owned by Swift) and I track everything on notebook and I keep an email trail to payroll & driver leader team of all the pay errors and wage thefts. Currently they owe me a substantial amount, approx $4,000 in back pay and they keep trying to weasel out of paying me my wages earned. In addition to that, I kept a list of every denied breakdown pay requests, layover pay requests and bonus offers that have gone unpaid.
ATTN: DRIVERS - check your paystubs like a hawk every week. Not only has the above happened to me, but many weeks they’ve shorted me on the total miles I’ve driven. And always request to get the payroll dept’s email address & request to get your Human Resources Rep’s email & phone number. These things have help me recoup thousands of earned wages they stole from me.
knotworkin@reddit (OP)
You need to go to your state’s Dept of Labor and file a wage theft complaint. They can’t fire you in retaliation.
yeah-no-yeah-no@reddit
Thank you for mentioning this. I’m absolutely already in communication with an employment lawyer about next steps.
Nero-Danteson@reddit
One thing that doesn't help is Swift's fuel routing. They'll route freight 200 miles out of the way just for a 5¢ discount.
DStew88@reddit
God, I'm glad I left USX. I actually really liked working with the dedicated customer but their pay practices made that job stressful every single day.
WolvTheHero@reddit
I started driving with PAM Transport. They've been sued multiple times via class action lawsuits. I got 2 or 3 checks from those even though I only worked there for 6 months before quitting.
Makonn5591@reddit
When I see a Super Ego truck him/her do their thing. I'll take an exit, check my tires, let them get away from me.
LittLeSaucyHood3rd@reddit
Our Government, Either Party, Is Too Lazy To Improve The •BUSINESS• Of Trucking So All The Oversight & Enforcement Goes To The Drivers SMDH 🙄🤦🏾♂️😒 (15 Years Experience Here)
knotworkin@reddit (OP)
Because the leaders and owners of the megas have the politicians in their pockets and they are too greedy to realize that eliminating all the substandard carriers and drivers would actually be better for their businesses.
LittLeSaucyHood3rd@reddit
🛎️🛎️🛎️🛎️🛎️🛎️🛎️🤦🏾♂️
Huzul34@reddit
What’s your point ? We all hate super ego anyway and we knew they were shady fuckers ….
Feisty-Tomato8812@reddit
The point is, it’s being exposed to the public. Often times this kind of shadiness goes undetected by those outside the industry until it’s made public.
knotworkin@reddit (OP)
And it’s this type of exposure that gets something done about it. Because one of their trucks plowed into a school bus going some insane speed after driving 16 hours.
edsavage404@reddit
Its funny because super ego now goes by sky blue or some shit like that lol
Onlyheretostare@reddit
Really disturbing, feel terrible for drivers that have been taken advantage of by these criminals.
Tall_Category_304@reddit
What’s rate sheet cheating?
Fairytvles@reddit
They basically edit a copy of the rate con to show a different rate of pay than what was actually agreed on to then pay the driver less.
CaseyJones37@reddit
There's also a lot of the industry that basically double brokers to themselves. I have one company troll the boards for high pay loads and then they provide a new rate on to their own company where their drivers are actually leased on.
Terribly common.
Nero-Danteson@reddit
Knight-Swift holdings does it. Heck they have their own separate freight boards just to trade amongst their carriers
kdesu@reddit
From what I can tell, the broker sends the company a sheet that says this load pays $xxxx. The carrier was telling the drivers that the load pays significantly less and pocketing the difference.
I don't know if it's illegal or not, but it's a major part of why I didn't stay in the industry long. We all knew we were being shorted majorly, I was supposed to be making 40% of what the load paid and I was averaging maybe 25%.
Tall_Category_304@reddit
If there is a contract in place saying they get x% of revenue that would be fraud and illegal.
baz8771@reddit
Probably falsifying documentation to squeeze extra profit, keeping it from drivers.
TruckinTuba@reddit
Now I'm really glad I didn't work for them....
I do think we should have more control over our clocks, but we can't because the companies take advantage of it. For example I've driven ~1300 miles in a day (persinal vehicle don't worry) with only a 20 minute nap. I've driven my 11 hr clock and still had energy to drive. But in the other hand, ive had days where ive stopped every hour or more, and just not felt like driving more than 4 hours. O just wish we could pick and choose our own hours and drive what we feel our bodies can handle without companies taking advantage over drivers who can do more between their sleep.

The answer is earlier in your post.
jadedshibby@reddit
Yeah any time you see "we speak serbian" or "we speak russian" on a chicagoland company run. They're just there to rip off folks that don't speak English and dumb Americans.
That being said, Russian drivers are usually rowdy and funny AF if you catch them in a bar on your reset.
xccoach4ever@reddit
And most of those companies are set up for money laundering anyway. It's not about trucking at all.
