Braum or Corbeau seats? Trying to decide which to buy. Are they any good?

Looking for a fairly budget friendly seat (not $1,000+ for ONE seat) that is still safe. Looking for one that reclines as well.

Corbeau has impeccable customer service if that’s worth anything to you. Never dealt with Braum but I love the 2 sets of corbeaus I have

Thanks!

I've had the same corbeau in 5 or 6 different cars. It's a really nice seat that has survived all the abuse I've put it through, including sitting in the bottom of a river for 3 or 4 days. Highly recommend.

What's the lore on why it was at the bottom of a lake???
Radius8887@reddit
Back in 2024 my WRX was washed off my property and down into the river by some nasty flooding. It's not too exciting.

Sweet thanks

Braum is just rebranded Chinese stuff without any real R&D or safety behind it. Corbeau has been around for ages and makes varying degrees of stuff.

Honestly I'd look at used OEM over either of those options. You can find used OEM Recaros for < $1000 for the pair, assuming you're not super picky about what they came out of.

That’s true, I saw some OEM recaros from evos that looked nice. I’ll look into that more

The Evo X recaros are a great bargain buy. I see them posted for $1k/set all the time on marketplace. The OEM BRZ/FRS/86 seats are also supposed to be super comfy and supportive for pretty cheap.

Yeah I was looking at the evo x seats, they look great and are definitely cheaper than your average recaro. I’m gonna check out the OEM brz seats too, thanks bro🫡

I've got Corbeau LG-1's. Comfortable, adjustable, seat heater... thumbs up.

Awesome thanks

It's vitally important to actually sit in each seat you are considering and examine how they hit your body. I recommend finding a vendor that is within driving distance that will allow you to park your butt in some seats. I can't overstate how much this matters when selecting seats.

I got a pair for NRGs for $600 that I'm happy with so far.

Those are both good companies that make good products. Id run either one without worry.
