GPU is DYING. Help

What's the most powerful card now within 200 dollars? Maaaybe 300 but that's my hard cap.
It's going to be replacing a 1660 TI, so that would be the base performance I am willing to settle with.
I don't lean on any Team, Nvidia or AMD or maybe even Intel are all fine as long as it's the best price to performance at this range.
I only play at 1080p so it's fine.
I won't be able to respond since it's difficult for me opening reddit on mobile, but just drop suggestions and anything you can note, that'll help.
Thanks.

Bought a RX 7600 second hand last year for half the original price. 1080p gaming is excellent and even high 1440p gaming on games like BF1, which is the newest title I play.
RevolutionaryFun725@reddit
I went from a 1660s to a 9060xt 16 gb, Loved the change
Octane-in-my-bed@reddit
Got my RTX3060 12GB for 200€ on used market. Still a solid card in 2026 but if you want something new I'd go for an Arc B580 or RTX5050
Tenderchicken669@reddit
Rx 6600,rx 5600xt,nrtx3050
Character_Stable_487@reddit
Probably looking used, there are very few GPUs available sub 300. The RTX 5050, maybe 4060 or B580 could be had new. Everything else will be more.
Used market....maybe you'll find one of those cards at $200-$250, probably not finding much else better, if you're lucky a 3080 may be on sale for 300.
Hellbornredneck@reddit
It is possible I got my girls for 340$!
AnalysisAnxious8434@reddit
This is pretty spot on, I’ve been looking at doing the same upgrade he is from the 1660. I’m eyeing the 4060Ti cuz I can just remove the card and plug this one right in, plus I’ll have to undo the power supply to keep up with the 4060
Crowley120@reddit
I’m with most of the comments absolute best case scenario is a 3070 or 3080 3070 is probably fine since you’re on 1080 p will still see a huge uplift from the 1660 super 3080 would be overkill if you aren’t thinking about upscaling to 1440 p or atleast using dldsr through nvidia control panel to upscale though
TheYetiOverlord@reddit
Where are you based? I’ll sell you my old 3070 for 235 all-in if that’s in your budget! It’d be a massive upgrade you and last you awhile at 1080p.
Nightlower@reddit
For that price look into used GPUs. If you are satisfied with the low end GPU then the rx6600 is the card to buy for that price. Idk about Intel GPU prices...
STL4jsp@reddit
I would buy a used 3070.
Juuvar@reddit
What psu you have, because that can narrow the selection also?
MagicMaverick22@reddit
Arc B570 or B580
CommandShot1398@reddit
If you dig hard enough you can even land an open box 5060 with that money. Just be patient, search throughly, and don't take shady deals.
CommandShot1398@reddit
I just checked. Damn, I can a 5060 dual for only 270 euros but in the us the cheapest one is 330 usdt.
coryforman@reddit
I’ve got a 3060 12GB up for grabs. It’s not even a year old (got it new at Best Buy) and I’m looking to upgrade. Message me if interested, more than happy to safely ship.
Sumeung-Gai@reddit
9060 8g, used 3080, 3070 ti, 4060

10tbhd@reddit
If your patient and in the us, you can find used 3060s or even 3060 ti for 200. You could also look for 2070 supers for around 170-200 too
BreadfruitNaive6261@reddit
I have 2070 super and wouldnt sell below 400 euros that would be a bit less than 500 dollars.
CSGOan@reddit
????
I sold my 2070 super at black friday for 150 euros and got the 9070 xt for 600. Who the fuck would pay 500 dollars for a shitty 2070 super today when a card that is more than twice as good can be bought for 600-700 euros haha.
10tbhd@reddit
I mean you want a ss as proof? How tf upload one to reddit?
MyzMyz1995@reddit
4060TI 8gb is 150-200$ and a fair bit faster than the 3060.
star5328@reddit
I got an EVGA rtx 3070 ftw3 used for $215 a few months ago. I would aim for a 6700xt or 3060ti minimum. Use the tech power up relative performance chart to give you an idea of what cards you should be looking for.AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database https://share.google/s4EoTtn3MG2tjxAWK
karmapopsicle@reddit
For new cards under $300, I'd take a $290 RTX 5050 over the B570/B580 or previous gen AMD cards.
For used cards, 3060Ti or 3070 might be findable in the $200 range. 4060 about equivalent to the 5050, so wouldn't pay much more than that for one either.
Purple_Painting_69@reddit
I sold my 3070 for $250, maybe you can find 3060 used for $200
SurvivingSquirrel@reddit
Did you sell locally or on ebay? I have a zotac 3070 i want to sell.
Purple_Painting_69@reddit
I list on both marketplace and ebay but decided to sell at marketplace cause easier and no need to pay ebay
TortieMVH@reddit
Used 3070 or 3060.
sql_bug_N_plus_one@reddit
Is 3060 worth $250 ?
Arelius_2002@reddit
If you’re budget is $300 than the rx 9060xt 8gb is the better option but if you don’t mind used there are plenty of 3080s for $300
NotSodiumFree@reddit
I’d be looking at the arc b580
shadowlid@reddit
Only answer!!
desolation0@reddit
Arc b580 is really strong if the CPU and motherboard can support it properly. The resizable BAR feature is practically absolutely necessary for performance. On top of that, several outlets have reported more drop-off from being paired with lower end CPUs than either AMD or NVIDIA. Arc b580 can still be a solid value play.
NumbS0u1@reddit
Check fb marketplace, ur definitely going to get what you want with the budget ur on too!
Gold-Load-362@reddit
At $200 or less - rX 5700xt
At $300 - Intel B580 - if your motherboard supports Rebar (and you feel confident enough to install ReBarUEFI if it doesn't).
Xenoryzen_Dragon@reddit
upgrade your cpu to Apu.....
IDrawDumbShit@reddit
Really depends on where you live. For me on the used market, 3070s go for 200-250 readily. A 3080 for 310-350. It’s possible to haggle down to the price you need, just be patient and look on Facebook marketplace and eBay.
Phantom_Commander_@reddit
For $200 probs like a used 2080 super
Valthoren@reddit
Bought a RTX 3080 from eBay a few months ago for $250.
downtownjerm@reddit
If you want a 590 8gb I have an extra one. Just need to pay for shipping and I’ll send it to you. It’s just sitting in my garage.
PixelPete27@reddit
b580
BillionaireBear@reddit
You should easily find 3070 for <$250, maybe even $200 here on r/hardwareswap. I haven’t seen too many 3080s less than $350 but they exist. Otherwise 77/7800xt should do well but I’m not aware of used pricing. Don’t suggest buying new.
TopExplanation138@reddit
Arc b580 or rx 6600
nrfmartin@reddit
I have an rx 6800 16gb I just replaced. Would sell well below market value but that comes with the risks of trusting a reddit stranger.
ProfessionalExam8224@reddit
Maybe a used 4060
AnalysisAnxious8434@reddit
They’re going for about 4-500 on eBay, I’ve been looking at 4070s and they are about 500 used. I’m currently bidding on one ending in a few days to hopefully get less than 500.
SurvivingSquirrel@reddit
Just scored a zotac 4070 super on ebay a few days back for 480$
gwoodtamu@reddit
Used market, maybe a 3070/3080, new? Arc b580.
scmitr@reddit
Plenty of suggestions already so I’m just gonna ask, how is it dying? What did you do?
AnalysisAnxious8434@reddit
I’m upgrading my 1660 super to a 4060Ti and new power supply (it’s needed) for my son..it’s the most recent GPU “plug and play” you’ll find, you’ll need a new power supply if you do that…I even looked at 30 series Tis but they’re around the same price believe it or not, check eBay out…
jbshell@reddit
RTX 5050.
Tricky_Orange_4526@reddit
3070 is like $225-ish. perfect for 1080p and can push 1440p. my 3060ti could do low end 1440p and the 3070 has a little more to it.
aminy23@reddit
B570 or B580, or used
PCPartPicker Part List
FoundationDouble1002@reddit
Used 3060ti is probably some of the best bang for buck, just got one for 260$CAD (if you’re US that’s around 200$USD I think)
Dwarf-Eater@reddit
300 used would get you like a 3080 or 7700xt
MCX6_@reddit
You can buy a used rx 6600x for a decent price and get great 1080p performance. Also might pair better with your current power supply than a bigger graphics card.
