More support for old games and support for older hardware!

We shall see. Older hardware does not even have Vulkan support to the point you're better off using Windows.

Vulkan has been around since radeon HD 7000, and nvidia kepler. Both of which are over a decade old.
Anything older than that might as well get e-wasted

That really would be a waste since there is plenty of hardware out there that is a decade old and still perfectly functional. Heck, the GTX 1080 is a decade old now, and it's still capable of running modern games on decent settings at 1080p. Age is no reason to turn good hardware into waste.

By the time GTX 1080 was introduced there were already five generations with Vulkan support.

On versions of windows that no longer get security updates (or any updates), on hardware that's ancient and failing, on drivers that are 20 years since the last patch
