Their store is entirely on sale 40% off
Perfect time to get new gear or clothes if needed
Sad to see it go but deep ellum was a terrible location for the store!
Patient_Speech0@reddit
The 40% is a lie I went and everything was sticker price do not believe this post !!!!
yellowsun_97@reddit (OP)
Did you buy anything? The discount was added at the register. My items went from $531 to $230.

Did anybody make it down there today and can comment on the remaining stock? I’m thinking about going this evening but wasn’t sure if there would be anything good left.
Smfpn@reddit
There’s nothing left, you’d need to order online and the sale is in store only.
drbeegh@reddit
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll save myself the trip.
I usually order from them during their semi-annual sales online where stuff is usually 30-40% off anyway.
Inner_Complaint_7319@reddit
i went - it still has plenty of sizes available. but was pretty busy
drbeegh@reddit
Thanks man. I’m going to stop by tomorrow morning and see if I can snag anything
Soundwave234@reddit
Should've put it up in Allen near the Columbia store and it would've boomed
Accomplished-Union10@reddit
No idea why this is downvoted lmao. Allen location makes tons of sense
Soundwave234@reddit
Yeah I figured it would do better in a place where tons of people go specifically to buy clothing
Feeling_Magician_898@reddit
or Stonebriar Mall or Legacy West.
Soundwave234@reddit
Yep.
Apart_Organization91@reddit
Half-Moon Outfitters in Richardson carries Patagonia!
Phynub@reddit
So does REI, sun and ski and many other outdoor store...
Accomplished-Union10@reddit
Sun and Ski mentioned in the wild lmao
Phynub@reddit
Good or bad?
Accomplished-Union10@reddit
Good, I guess. Worked there a long time and always felt like we were invisible so it just surprises me when I see people casually mention it like they’d mention REI or Dick’s or some shit lol
Phynub@reddit
Oh they’re my go to for ski sht in the area. The one on 75 has friendly folks.
Accomplished-Union10@reddit
Love it. If you ever bought ski boots there I probably helped you haha
Snobolski@reddit
Oshmans?
fakeit-makeit@reddit
Yes, but not at 40% off!
Phynub@reddit
There are sales year round.
Snobolski@reddit
At Half Moon Outfitters? They love them some MSRP. They make Whole Earth look like K-mart.
chronicdemonic@reddit
I remember the day i learned of this store and how it was in Deep Ellum, this was its destiny all along lol
yellowsun_97@reddit (OP)
It’s crazy because it’s the second store in the state (other in Austin) and I guess they didn’t make enough money to justify the store. I really hope they open a new location!
Cedosg@reddit
it's so hard to park there imo. thought about going there multiple times but can't be bothered to find parking there.
Dawnzarelli@reddit
😐 it’s really not that difficult to park. There are multiple lots within 4-5 blocks.
dumasymptote@reddit
Not to be a car apologist but I would prefer not to have to walk 4 blocks to get to the clothing store especially if it’s the only store I wanted to go to.
Dawnzarelli@reddit
It’s an outdoor rec clothing and gear store. It’s really cracking me up about ppl complaining about walking .5-4 blocks max. There are 3 lots that are within half a block. Patagonia hahaha. No wonder that store is closing. The people that might shop there don’t even want to walk a few minutes MAX to buy recreational clothing. It’s too funny.
I_Can_Barely_Move@reddit
When I first moved there I was laughed at for using the term “walking distance.”
That was one of several early instances that demonstrated what the Texas mentality was.
Dawnzarelli@reddit
The only type of performance they use Patagonia for is socially adjacent haha.
Cedosg@reddit
i window shop a lot, so if it is like REI with dedicated parking, it would be far easier for me to window shop and potentially buy stuff there.
l saw the store multiple times to and from my work and I just drove by because I couldn't be bothered to find parking.
UDMN@reddit
Texans gonna Texan.
I went to a podiatrist and she goes your shoes have grass stains, do you work outside? No it's from walking. Walking where? Outside. Why do you walk!?!??? Because I have legs?
Fun_Level_4016@reddit
And the neighborhood is not terribly safe.
YaGetSkeeted0n@reddit
It’s not Mayberry, but during the day (when you’d be going there) it’s pretty fine IMO. It’s the witching hour on the weekends where it gets gnarly
xanju@reddit
It’s literally right next to a parking lot. It’s not 4 blocks it’s probably less than 40 feet.
superdrone@reddit
are any of the lots free though? that would be my issue if i was the kinda guy to want patagonia
Dawnzarelli@reddit
Most of the street parking is free until 6 pm every day. Most of the public lots are $5 for 24 hrs. It’s $3 to park and ride on the DART to Deep Ellum station or Baylor station. It’s pretty hilarious to me how many ppl complain about parking in Dallas. Lazy.
yellowsun_97@reddit (OP)
Patagonia validates parking.
Cedosg@reddit
for just browsing?
AR116@reddit
Parking is free. Patagonia validates it. But didn’t do a great job advertising that
lurkerlurking123@reddit
Exactly plus imagine having to pay to park while also spending 600 bucks on 2-3 pieces of clothing. no thanks
captainn_chunk@reddit
That day is today for me
RawrRawr83@reddit
It’s hot as balls in Dallas most of the year. I don’t need Patagonia or arcteryx gear here
Captain-Neimo@reddit
They have so much for warm weather. Their tech shirts like cool daily are one of my staple summer shirts
YaGetSkeeted0n@reddit
Patty is more than fleeces and parkas! I’ve got a bitchin shoulder sling bag from them and they make a fantastic rain coat.
tractorpatty@reddit
Who cares that brand sold out years ago. They traded their quality for revenue just like everyone else
Snobolski@reddit
You do
Mercy_Rule_34@reddit
they’re one of the very last remaining independent clothing manufacturers of high quality outdoor goods (along with LL Bean). They haven’t sold out by any means.
I think you have mistaken them for Eddie Bauer, Arctyrx, Spyder, Lands End, etc
Nbana52@reddit
Who in their right mind would pay 200 bucks for a woke jacket
Konstantin_Levin@reddit
What is a woke jacket?
Snobolski@reddit
Anything that redditor can't afford
_Blitzer@reddit
Espresso colorway. May or may not come with a COVID vaccine and/or Flu shot at checkout. Could improve your 5g reception, TBD there.
Accomplished-Union10@reddit
Im wearing my wokest pair of pants today in honor of you
Beginning-Whereas-72@reddit
Nice try. They started in 1973. Long before republicans labeled everything unfamiliar as “woke”.
SocomPS2@reddit
Certainly not someone that paid $15 for a MAGA hat made in China. Or a $100 trump bible. Looks like the First Lady Bible is on clearance after this week’s epstein news.
First Lady Bible - Epstein edition has a ring to it.
NephewHotTake@reddit
Muh woke
Doyometer@reddit
Is the woke jacket in the room with you right now?
Carey251@reddit
Literally one of the only ultra wealthy individuals that isn’t a scumbag and donates a fortune to conservative of our planet
etoididi@reddit
I’ve had mine for 10 years and still strong.
hondo9999@reddit
Dallas has a Patagonia store?
Snobolski@reddit
REI is my Patagonia store.
latinobombshell@reddit
Still good amount of stuff there??
yellowsun_97@reddit (OP)
When I went at 11 am (opening) yes. It was packed and people were getting tons of stuff. I would visit tomorrow to be safe.
PocketGddess@reddit
Gear too, or just clothing? Would love some more black hole cubes. . . .
latinobombshell@reddit
Thank you!!
Standard-Tennis-6214@reddit
Why? Wouldn't hurt to buy a nice winter jacket
Upstairs_Balance_464@reddit
Now I’ll have to point to the fancy olive oil store or the upscale ice cream when idiots blather on about how sketchy Deep Ellum is.
Accomplished-Union10@reddit
It definitely gets sketchy at times when big ass crowds of people partying descend on it, but those people don’t live and work there, so it’s not like the area itself is just inherently seedy
bermagot12@reddit
They should be in Knox/henderson.
agreenspacemarine@reddit
I had no idea this location existed until last weekend.
Pattyrocksintexas@reddit
Online says it’s not closing but I am still going bye.
toodleroo@reddit
It’s going bye too
AR116@reddit
Bummer. I’ve used this store to trade in used gear in their Worn Wear program. And to make in-person returns of online orders. Hope they re-open in a more suitable neighborhood
Maverick89@reddit
Would’ve made way more sense if they put the store in Northpark or Knox Henderson. Deep Ellum is such a weird place to put a Patagonia store.
DoubleBookingCo@reddit
Makes a lot of sense on Lower Greenville, Knox or Henderson ave, or even in West Village if they want to still be urban. Mockingbird Station would bend over backwards to get them there.
AR116@reddit
Bishop Arts would be a great location too
AR116@reddit
Agree about Deep Ellum, but something about Patagonia being inside a mall (Northpark) just rubs me the wrong way
valiantdistraction@reddit
I didn't even know Dallas HAD a Patagonia store and it's probably because it's in Deep Ellum.
LadySandry@reddit
Yeah me neither until this post. Smh. Terrible location for it
valiantdistraction@reddit
When I think about "going somewhere to shop," Deep Ellum does not come to mind!
ParmaHamRadio@reddit
It definitely could have been a more profitable store in another location. Such a random store to encounter in Deep Ellum.
TheElPistolero@reddit
I love deep ellum, which means I want every business to fail except the dive bars and music venues.
last_strip_of_bacon@reddit
Fr ain’t nobody but lame ass developers and yuppies want Patagonia stores in de
Love_Vigilantes_586@reddit
so a question slightly off ... how is their quality? I was heavily invested in NF bc my cousin in Seattle worked for one of their retail outlets and sent me a bunch of stuff, Summit Series HyVent rainshells with seam seals delaminated, adjustable cuffs were made of a plastic that eventually deteriorated, among other quality issues over time (less than 10y). I would never buy NF for something I expect to last a while. I purchase outdoor specific clothing/gear for their function and not just for branding or to have a certain look.
oktodls12@reddit
Patagonia’s quality is significantly better than NorthFace. But also, I have Columbia outdoor gear from Academy that has held up better than some of my NF gear.
_Blitzer@reddit
broadly, it's good enough and popular enough that I struggle to buy their things brand new. The brand is so so popular with the "I want to look outdoors-y" crowd, not to mention the finance bros, that it's super easy to pick things up "like new" on ebay / poshmark, etc for crazy cheap - especially if you don't mind someone's FinTech logo on it.
FormulaKimi@reddit
Quality is good, but for tall or skinnier people their clothes don't fit well.
YaGetSkeeted0n@reddit
I’ve owned a lot of their stuff over the years (I swear I’m not a shill) and I’ve always found it to be excellent quality. I did have a rain coat from them that started shedding material after owning it about 9 years… I sent it in to their repair program and they just gave me a store credit that covered most of the cost of a new raincoat (which purportedly fixed the issue of the material shedding from the prior generation).
yellowsun_97@reddit (OP)
I love their quality. It’s gotten me through many trips with different climates. They also sell used stuff through their website wornwear which is were i go to when i want their higher quality stuff for a decent price.
han-kat@reddit
do you have to ask the employees for a discount? was coincidentally at the deep ellum location earlier today and there were no signs indicating a sale or closure
yellowsun_97@reddit (OP)
It was automatic at the register.
han-kat@reddit
ah okay, thank you so much!
aggie2018@reddit
When's it closing?
kaptainkkk@reddit
Look upwards 👀
Beginning-Whereas-72@reddit
Can you kindly delete this post now so we can find parking tomorrow? Ty ty
SocomPS2@reddit
Good looking out.
I was going to go there last week while on break for work. Just got access to Waymo Dallas so I’ll try that out tomorrow to Patagonia.
Remarkable_Meat666@reddit
How does their stock look? I’d like to hit it up but by the time I’m able to make it over there this week it may be picked over.
Leader_Bud@reddit
Holy shit that may change my days plans in a hurry
pumkinspicelatte@reddit
How to verfy?
Jamesatwork16@reddit
Use your telephone and call?
PeacockBiscuit@reddit
Did they say when it’s closed? By the end of the month?
yellowsun_97@reddit (OP)
April 23
AmazingWater8826@reddit
damn might have to swing by for some workout gear, been needing new shorts 🔥 deep ellum never made sense for patagonia tbh 💀
