Just invite JD Vance and he'll take care of it

JD Vance did the same in the vatican. But the only way to lose the president seat there is to die. So jD took care of that

Unfortunately Erdogan is smart enough to spew bullshit about how they are against ALL THE OUTSIDE INTERFERENCE!! FCKING ISRAEL!! GODDAMN WEST!! US SUCKS BALLS!! EUROPE IS THE WORST!!!
and then goes on to trade and strike open and closed deals with them all.
No one cares about the reports about the latter, but feel good when they hear the first part.

Hopefully you guys get rid of Erdogonorrhoea soon!

How come Turks love to talking shit about other countries but as soon as a foreigner says anything negative about their country they get all bent out of shape? I'm American and I don't care if the entire world trashes America and Trump because they deserve it. Why should Sultan E*n be off limits?

didnt u guys have an election not long ago and he got elected again?
ShitassAintOverYet@reddit
To be fair that election's vibes resembled 2022 Hungarian election. The opposition uniting made people say "Wait is this the moment?!?" then it turns out no because everyone in the opposition were still a bunch of unpopular asshats.
İmamoğlu(and Yavaş as failsafe) is already confirmed as CHP's candidate and he is incredibly popular, so is the failsafe candidate. In fact if the failsafe has to run it'll ideologically resemble Magyar vs Orban a lot as Mansur Yavaş is a guy with right-wing past who is more catch-all "conservative by European standard, progressive by Turkish standard" guy nowadays and he is known to be an upstanding bureaucrat.
kerelberel@reddit
Isn't Imamoglu still caught up in those (fake) legal issues that Erdogan entangled him in?
Adept-One-4632@reddit
I believe it will help his image more since he can be viewed as a person silenced by the current system (which he obviously is)
Whole_Obligation_776@reddit
Polarization takes care of the effects of illegitimate acts, because fuck the guy from the other side. The last poll I checked was showing increased indifference and increased approval of the case. Not too much, but the tendency shows that after 1 year of complete and surrounding defamation by all the media outlets in service of Erdogan (Which some media analysis estimate to be 94% of all mainstream media in Turkey) there is now a bigger portion of the public that thinks he is corrupt and the case has legitimacy.
Konda Survey Firm Results: https://t24.com.tr/gundem/veri-enstitusu-bir-yilda-imamoglu-davasi-tamamen-siyasi-diyenlerin-sayisi-da-ofke-de-azaldi,1312089
The portion supporting increased from 12% to 21% in 1 year.
The portion thinking it is completely political fell from 46% to 27% in 1 year.
Thanks to Israel's Iran war, there is also a rally to the flag effect that increased support for Erdogan because people are scared that Israel can attack Turkey as well, they have no hope of getting support for NATO. In 2024 Erdogan lost the municipal elections and got his first defeat. Make the election today and he would get elected president again.
Adept-One-4632@reddit
That isn't really gonna be a decisive factor. I mean Denmark shows that rally around the flag strategy isn't as effective as it seems.
Whole_Obligation_776@reddit
Different situations regarding USA posturing about Greenland and Israel killing almost 100.000 people in the region and leaving 3 million people without homes. Although opposition's outlook at Israel is nowhere different than Erdogan, Erdogan can utilize the regional chaos for domestic support more.
Also I think Europe havent decided on what to think about the MAGA regime in USA. Among leaders level there isnt anything even resembling of a united European front and although in the public level polls, showing Trump has even less popularity than China's Xi Jinping, I dont think USA and its weird politics dont have such an effect to change voting decisions yet. Turkey is different in this regard.
No-Penalty-7506@reddit
No bro there isn’t more people believing in the case the polls are stupid, we already saw this many times. Kilicdar was supposed to win in 2023 according to the polls, in 2024 Imamoglu was supposed to lose Istanbul. Polls in Turkey are just propaganda, nothing more. Do you think making the prosecutor who started the case head of the justice department makes people believe in the case. Nothings changed, if anything’s changed it’s that akp supporters who would say they don’t have an opinion about the case don’t feel ashamed now to say they want the opposition candidate locked up.
themaelstorm@reddit
He uses the whole power of the state + shadow power he has and that makes it really hard to fight back. Last election was close but the right wing opposition planted a trojan horse (literally the guy switched the moment the election was over) and the opposition had other mistakes... and that vs fighting the whole state and 95% of conventional media... It didn't work out
dagli68@reddit
It was a close one, 52-48,but yes somehow he got elected again. Oh btw he was actually term limited but the referendum in 2017 created a loophole for him to run again. Now if a snap election is called by the assembly (which requires three-fifths of the assembly, which he can easily gather if he wants) he can run again. What will likely happen is that a snap election will be called like a month or two before the original election time, paving way for him to run once more. Also the referendum in 2017 was also approved 52-48. As you can see, our people tend to split 52-48 when two options are presented to them, regardless of the options. Anyways I really fucking hope that we give him the boot in the next election. The guy has been in power longer than I have been alive and he is only getting worse every passing day.

Hillbillypresident@reddit
JD probably doesnt know that europeans hate him. Whoever he supports, loses badly. Afd in germany, le pen in france and now orban. Keep it up, JD. You are doing great work and making Europe a better place.
Badassscholar@reddit
It's more like "we don't really care who American politicians support, but we generally assume it's the worse option for us".
Ujemegaz@reddit
I will be honest. At first i enjoyed seeing MAGA scold the Europeans, and lecture them on not intervening in domestic elections and BS like that. The same bullshiter went to Hungary and extended his stay while America was already dealing with the Iranian situation. I bet every single politician in Europe being endorsed by Trump will take a toll. Meloni was smart to distance herself a bit.
Random_DS@reddit
You guys definitely place way too much importance on JD. Basically barely anyone knows who he even is in Hungary. It was all Orbán and his friends who fucked themselves in the ass as hard as they did.
stevosteve@reddit
Are you from Hungry? How did they fuck themselves? Because I always heard how he had a firm grip on the country. Without reading a lot of news about him, I had the impression he was going to be ruling until he was in gis death bed.
Random_DS@reddit
Yes, I'm from Hungary. And I thought the same too, until two years ago. Basically, they pardoned a pedophiles accomplice. The pedo was the director of a foster care center, and the accomplice was his vice director. And that was the initial spark. That's when Péter Magyar, the new PM jumped ship and left Fidesz, who was actually the husband of the then justice minister until that point. That's when he started his own moment, after releasing a recording of his wife admitting to not letting the judges pursue cases where the defendant was related to Fidesz. And Tisza got 30% a month or two after that already on the EP elections. From that point, it's hard to list everything, as it seemed like there were skeletons falling out of the governments closets every day, so I'm pretty sure I forgot some things. There was another foster care center, where the kids were basically pimped out as gay prostitutes, Orbáns son getting a position in the military and planning a mission in Chad to "save Christians", where he calculated with 50% of our soldiers dying. Also a leaked audio of the foreign minister talking to Lavrov and leaking internal EU info, they also sent the secret service after a 19 year old IT guy from Tisza accusing him of owning cp after he refused to be their mole, stealing a crapton of money out of the national bank, fucking up the economy by not being able to access EU funds, letting in battery factories from China and Korea while not ensuring safety requirements are met and damaging both the environment and peoples health with it, jacking up housing prices by giving cheap loans to everyone who had kids while not managing to actually improve birthrates etc...
By today, everybody basically knew that they're lying whenever they're talking about their "values", and they didn't even have enough money to basically buy up votes.
stevosteve@reddit
Interesting, thanks for the summary. When condensed it sounds quite an implosion.
On a, superficial maybe, level there seem to be a lot of similarities with the Greek (right/far right wing) government, with the exception that they are quite united still and personally I don't see them leaving any time soon. Mainly because there's no opposition that pepple are willing to vote, even though the majority is unhappy (from ny subjective view of course)
I didn't know the new PM was in Orban's party either. Which makes me think people there don't consider a more left wing vote? Or it's more Orban has been suppressing left wing opposition?
Random_DS@reddit
The majority here are right wingers and centrists, but there is a left wing. They haven't been strong since Gyurcsány's blunder in 2006 though. And Fidesz did everything to try and connect all their opposition to him, be it left or right. And he only retired last year.
But also, the way they modified the voting system heavily favored one big party, who could win the majority or supermajority even with 40-50% of the vote, while the opposition is divided into multiple parties.
And yeah, Magyar was originally from Fidesz, so that's why there was some mistrust towards him from the opposition in the beginning. But he did actually manage to unite the right and left wing opposition in the end (in fact, most left wing parties decided to not run, to make change possible, while the right wing opposition party, who was the biggest just a few years ago slowly died and splintered off into multiple factions, so he was axle to scoop up their voters), while he was also able to get disillusioned Fidesz voters which a left wing party couldn't really do, plus young people who first voted this year, and even older people who never voted before. There was like an 80% participation in the election, which is the highest it's ever been. And now suddenly, the voting system built by Fidesz backfired.
markothebeast@reddit
will Magyar and the incoming government attempt to reshape voting in Hungary? Return it to what it was?
Also - what little attention Hungary received here in the US (other than Trump and maga’s hardon for Orban) much was about 1st Ammendment suppression - silencing dissenting journalists etc. Is this fact? Will there be democratic reforms regarding freedom of speech back to pre-Orban days?
Random_DS@reddit
He said he would, so we'll see.
As for freedom of speech, the strategy they used is buying up as many news orgs as they could through their oligarchs, and slandering their opponents as hard as possible. And when they lost the slender lawsuits, they just paid the fines, but by that time, everybody already moved on. Same with pressuring printing houses through their connections. Also, it was really hard to get grants from state funds if you were openly oppositional. The whole thing was very feudal.
But there was no actual law limiting free speech. There was a draft last year, that was trying to limit foreign funding to news orgs and all, but that never went into law. There was huge backlash against it, and they didn't have the balls to do it.
markothebeast@reddit
Interesting. No wonder Trump and Maga loved Orban so much. They’re using the same playbook here. Since taking power they’ve defunded most if not all public broadcasting organisations like NPR and PBS, and they’ve sued the holy hell out of every private news org to get them to stop any criticism of the ruling party. The Stephen Colbert debacle over here was the most public, but it’s continuing across the spectrum of news media.
Fun fact most people have at least heard of Hungary now, and Orban is spoken of in glowing terms on Fox News (aka the far right propaganda machine). But not one of them would know who or what Fidesz is. No one cares about political parties when you’re a cult of personality.
Random_DS@reddit
You so obviously never lived outside of the US smh...
markothebeast@reddit
I mean, am I supposed to? I had a Slovenian girlfriend does that count? I thought we were having an open conversation about Hungary, a place about which Americans are ill-informed at best. I was asking honest questions with genuine interest. You seemed quite knowledgeable, not judge-y. Guess I was wrong. Good luck with the new guy.
Random_DS@reddit
It wasn't supposed to be judgmental, but come on. If Trump was Orbán, NPR and PBS would've been re-tuned to pro Trump propaganda day one, and pumped full of money. All the publicly funded tv and radio channels were spewing nothing but Fidesz propaganda on the taxpayers dime. I would've been really happy if they were defunded actually.

Estimations suggest that around 500,000 pro-Orban votes were obtained through fraud, vote-buying, or coercion. In several cases, poor mothers were threatened with having their children taken away by the state. In one instance, a doctor refused to provide medical care to patients who did not vote for her pro-Fidesz husband. Food and €25 gift cards were distributed on a large scale by Fidesz on election day.

Magyar has made it clear multiple times that TISZA party is going to hold Orbán and his hangers-on accountable, whom he says have degraded our country. Hungary has been celebrating since yesterday. I have never seen so many happy people in my country. The TISZA party won with a 2/3 majority, which was very important because the failed government had rewritten the laws, and in practice these can only be changed back to proper democratic laws with a 2/3 majority. PerpetuaLibertas@reddit
This has nothing to do with my comment, I’m not even commenting on the election results.
As for your unrelated comment: he lost because country has been doing badly for the past 4 years, net GDP increased by 1% since 2022, he over-regulated the energy and food market adding price caps increasing debt over GDP hiding the true costs of inflation combined with weak economy and job creation. Reason why he has governed for the past 16 years is because things really were going well before Covid, net GDP increasing for about 30%. People are unhappy with his government so logically he got kicked out.
Now if you want to respond to my actual critique to the person above because of his voting criteria for politicians, do so.
Samtulp6@reddit
You are commenting on a thread regarding Orban losing and Maygar winning, be real now.
Your comment in question is either obviously talking about the subject or utterly irrelevant to this thread.
PerpetuaLibertas@reddit
I’m responding to a comment not the subject of the thread, you as well responded to my comment with something unrelated. If you felt hurt from my comment because you judge politicians based on if they are pro-eu or not disregarding other policies, then cope harder.
iongion@reddit
You have immigration problem in Hungary ? Why do they import 3rd world-ers, I mean, it has to make sense for someone ?
Why do they really bring them there ? EU has quite some well protected borders, those you see are legally brought to do jobs locals would do at a higher price, why do they do that ?
For profit obviously.... so the ones shouting immigration, bring immigrants in your country, but complain that you are in a deep immigration problem? That has to be the night of the mind!
Your are being gaslit, non-stop, whoever has power, that's what they do, but some slip / let others do their job, hopefully new wave will leave specialists do their stuff and bring back dignity, everyone has the right to work, obviously local population should be protected against job loss and better chances, obviously immigration cannot stop because business that give work to locals also depend on it, better encourage economy and support people do their jobs, no division, no fight, everyone minds his own business, f-corruption obviously!
PerpetuaLibertas@reddit
I’m not from Hungary, I don’t agree that EU has well-protected borders, just look at Spain and how they handle migration. Agree that all politicians attempt to gaslit people into their agendas, as for the rest I don’t really understand what you mean. Regardless, this wasn’t my main point, I’m not defending anybody, just pointing out the idiocy of supporting someone just based on 1 or 2 ideas ignoring the rest
Typical-Farmer-1462@reddit

Orban was corrupt, manipulative & sided with one of the most destructive/dangerous men alive, BUT if Peter Magyar opens the gates to the muslim migrants the amount of destruction, pain & suffering the european people and european civilization will experience will be immense & irreversible.
fk_censors@reddit
I'm not so sure. I want it to be true, but Magyar seems as anti-Romanian as Orbán. Magyar's party also had anti Ukraine rhetoric. Magyar comes from the same political swamp as Orbán and he comes from a long line of kleptocrats, I mean politicians.
I'm happy that Orbán is out of power but I'm cautiously skeptical about Magyar.
Cinipinax@reddit
Hungarian here. I don't think you need to worry about that. We don't hear anything here that would be against Romanians or other nationalities - apart from the fact that the Russians should not interfere in the elections and go back behind their borders. Magyar rhetoric is about reconciliation, and according to his promise, his goal is to strengthen neighborly relations. His foreign minister will visit representatives of the countries surrounding us in the coming months, in order to do so.

Let's see if we elect our very own Orban next weekend.
Markus4781@reddit
What's the sitch in Bulgaria?
GRIM106@reddit
Rumen radev, who has been president for a while, is making a new party after a brand new and totally unexpected (/s) corruption scandal and government collapse. He is running on an anti corruption platform tho many people have pointed out his past as a member of BSP (the socialist) who have a history of being pro Russia and also his more recent pro Russia stances since he is president. Additionally his new party seems to be supported by a massive bot network which many take as a clear sign of Russian influence.
Basically the people are worried he is just another russian puppet similar to Orban. And unlike in Hungary we don't have any actually good opposition party that is both pro EU and non corrupt. The closest we got is PPDB tho a lot of people don't like them as they have a bit of a reputation for being weak spined.
GRIM106@reddit
Honestly I think it's almost inevitable. Best we can do is hope and pray Reddit has been wrong about him all this time.
46_and_2@reddit
Best we can do is make bigger voter turnout so Radev's election result is small and unable to cooperate with other anti-EU parties. And try to educate older relatives he's not the second coming of the messiah.
GRIM106@reddit
Eh. Honestly I'd rather move to Antarctica instead of having another fight over the fact that Russia isn't the end all be all.

If we put away political preference for a moment, just forget the sides, we just elected a fresh party with literal 0 experience. And the members are made out of actors, pornstars and influencers. This party will gonna make decisions, in a time where we have war in the neighbour, war in the middle east. You have to be really optimistic to think it will end well. I get it that people wanted a change, but having a change doesnt mean it will be positive.
Cheap_Grocery8634@reddit
It's a huge relief to see this shift. Hopefully it's the start of a real change for the region.
Hour_Baby_3428@reddit
I think people misunderstand that Magyar is in no way a liberal, he directly worked for Orbán until 2024. It’s the corruption and anti EU sentiment that he challenged him on, not his overall worldview.

Hoping people here take note and actually go out and vote. High voter turnout is the only (non-violent) way you beat these quasi-dictators.
Pellumbpilinci@reddit
Exactly! The only thing that made Trump win is that a-lot of people didn’t vote. If everyone voted in US that Orange turd would have never been in the White House.
BluBolshevik@reddit
Saying it’s “the only reason” is a pretty bad analysis
Pellumbpilinci@reddit
Then give me a scenario where if most people who didn’t vote last time had voted and Trump won of some other reason? Dude!? People not Voting is the ONLY thing that got him to the white house.
holyrs90@reddit
2024 had 1% less voters with 2020 , so idk where u ppl get these ideas.
Trump won bcs ppl had it enough with censoring, dei, migration , and on to all that biden couldnt even speak properly.
Icy-Bandicoot-8738@reddit
American here: Trump won because the Democrats fucked up. They discouraged real primaries on Biden in 2024. They quite literally hid the guy as much as possible, and dismissed people who were pointing out he was having physical/cognitive issues. They protected him, despite polls showing that he was extremely unpopular.
Then they had the debate, where everything they hid was obvious.
THEN they let Biden pick his successor, a veep who was tied to his unpopular presidency, and who was even less popular than he was.
She proceeded run a horrible campaign, and lost, mostly because many Democrats were too disgusted to vote when the time came. Also, many normally Democratic voters, like young white/black/Hispanic men switched, and voted for Trump.
I mean...2024 had more to do with Democrats making mistake after mistake than people's feelings about wokeness.
holyrs90@reddit
I agree
cevapi-rakija-repeat@reddit
You’re getting downvoted for acting like DEI is an actual problem and not some manufactured right-wing populist slop.
holyrs90@reddit
A bit of dei is fine, too much dei is a problem, so yes dei was a problem.
cevapi-rakija-repeat@reddit
It’s sad seeing people from the Balkans with TDS (Trump Dicksucker Syndrome).
Pellumbpilinci@reddit
Oh you will be surprised how much they love Trump in Albania. No wonder they vote for the same party in that country for 4 elections straight now.
cevapi-rakija-repeat@reddit
Some people just like to be ruled. I am not that surprised actually. After 6 months there I encountered many local Trumptards. When I explained how he’s allied with Putin and Putin is allied with Vučić, you could almost see the gears start turning. Almost. It’s like they never thought of what side Trump would be on if Kosovo’s fate is ever at risk again.
Pellumbpilinci@reddit
The reason for that is the Albanians living in US, especially Chicago/Michigan. They’re so radicalized! So they “explain” to the ones in Albania why the US dear leader is so good and how the democrats eat babies…
holyrs90@reddit
No bro i live in Albania, i have felt first hand the stupid shit on DEI in games, from getting banned to the mildest shit, to games changing male/female bodies to , bodytype1/2, turning beloved chars into lgbt slop etc, so yeah ,that shit invery real and i hate it.
Also before Trump you couldnt criticize any of that, or you could get banned, couldnt even say the word "retard" , thanks to Trump i can say whatever the fuck i want, mostly.
cevapi-rakija-repeat@reddit
In my experience they just buy into the culture war bullshit, all they are thinking about is trans people for some reason (don’t look at their search history) and somehow eat up that narrative while ignoring the bigger geopolitical picture.
BalkanTrekkie2@reddit
Because you didnt say the same thing. You basically copy/paste a propaganda piece about non-existent issues Trump declared he will solve and is now turning the US in a fascist state.
9uYx3QemUHKy@reddit
When its been 2 years and you still haven't gotten off the high of election year mud slinging and propaganda and realized its just bullshit
Care-Co-8810@reddit
i think he means in swing states (those states that decide their elections) many didn’t vote or voted for trump.
Icy-Bandicoot-8738@reddit
Yes. Trumpers were definitely more excited about the election than the Democrats. From Pew:
I don't think DEI etc. had much to do with it. The Democrats messed up the election cycle, and now we have a very stupid madman in charge.
BluBolshevik@reddit
It’s Biden’s, and then later when he was forced to step down, Kamala’s dogshit campaign were why people didn’t vote and were why Trump won. On top of that with Biden’s unpopular presidency.
Goshotet@reddit
That is completely delusional. As soon as Trump got shot and the Dems chose Kamala as a candidate it was a complete wrap. Not even 110% turnout could change anything. It was so obvious Trump would win that it was probably the reason Kamala ran in the first place, as no one else from her party would want to play a losing game.

And more recently Hungary's migration numbers were significantly up because they let a fuck ton of Southeast Asians in for cheap labour.

I could not be happier with this result. I was also disappointed in the lack of support by the USA, which, through the Voice of America, had been urging revolutions in the occupied Eastern European countries since the end of WWII.
Forward ten years and I wrote a term paper for my honors history class at GRJC, for which I received a well deserved A.

We cannot trust USA again, treaties with USA are no longer worth the paper they are signed on if the president can just flush it down the toilet whenever he likes.
We cannot just bet everything on americans going out to vote and actually using their brains while they vote.
With some will, Europe can be completely fine or even better off without USA, but USA is fucked without Europe. That is exactly the reason why Europe should cut USA off once and for all and impose sanctions on dual use goods and military hardware, while revoking all intellectual property protections and patents for American goods, especially military hardware.
USA shouldn’t have any influence outside its borders, it should not be able to project power anywhere. It has proven itself to be an arrogant, selfish and irresponsible state which consistently backstabs its allies and bullies weaker states. It doesn’t give a flying fuck about international law, therefore its terrorist military must be banned from all European territory and must be treated as danger to the continent the same way ruzzia is.

I am happy for Hungary. Hungary shows that no matter how powerful a government is, it can be replaced if the people want it. However, this result will not directly affect Türkiye. Hungary is small and an EU member, which has blocked Orbán’s attempts to imprison Magyar. Still, defeating an autocrat backed by figures like Netanyahu, Trump, and Putin matters. Türkiye might have seen a similar outcome in 2023. Instead, a critical opportunity was lost. Erdoğan has effectively declared political war on the opposition. İmamoğlu was imprisoned, his university diploma was annulled, his family company was seized, his close associates were detained, and strict restrictions were imposed on his social media presence. His voice is silenced, his public visibility is curtailed, and a relentless state driven smear campaign portrays him as a terrorist, a criminal organization leader, and a spy. Harder days are ahead of us.

As a Bulgarian I don’t find it as the best thing. Yes he might be slowing down the speed of economy growth, but that doesn’t necessarily mean people are struggling. In the short time that Bulgaria has a working government it will never be(or at least in the near future) right leaning/conservative. Some of the eu laws are awful and liberal based decisions that only benefits governors and the ones close to them. Hungary has shut down some of those laws since in the EU you need consensus to pass a law. Yeah EU leaning party is good in some ways bad in others. Now I expect that the new party will bend over to be liked by the EU and some new laws may appear and programs that are not so good(unless you love uzbekistan people). But time will show, I have been to Hungary and absolutely loved every second of my visit.

The lesson I take from big wins/losses like this one is that when someone starts to believe that they speak & think for the majority they start to go too far - and they lay the grounds for their demise.
They may well be the most popular view/opinion/movement/party at a point in time. But they should never forget that if you add up all the differing opposing views together, that this is the true majority.
Successful leaders lead for everyone, of course prioritising their own agenda but with a bit of give and take with others. Whereas. those that try make it all their own way usually face an embarrassing fall.

ShitassAintOverYet@reddit
Medmedev-Putin relation has no correlations with this election whatsoever.
Medmedev-Putin was always a cross endorsement, they've never campaigned against each other and the level ideological distance between them probably exist within any political party in the world. Meanwhile Magyar ran to exclusively fuck with Orban and Hungarian public gave him a manifest to fuck Orban, leave along giving Orban a bigger position if he lets Fidesz off the hook for their corruption the voters will eat Magyar alive and elect a new "fuck Orban" figure.

He's been lobbying Trump family for almost a decade, and his cooperation with Orban was about infrastructure (mainly railways and oil refineries). It's two seperate things and there's no connection between the two as far as I'm aware.

It might be the start of a federal Europe.
The new guy won a constitutional majority, meaning he can write a constitution any way he wants and any time he wants.
Ideologically he is basically a pro-EU Orban. There is nothing stopping him from doing anything Orban did, and on the top of this, he can support an EU proposal of removing veto rights, and he can also join the EU prosecutors' office.
Meaning: He has every power to give up Hungary's sovereignity, and help EU leaders remove checks and balances that stop major countries from taking over the EU.

Top-Independence-963@reddit
I am very happy for Hungary, because as their neighboring country, Slovenia, we have been listening of Orbána shenanigans for far to log. But at the same time I am really sad for us. Since we had parliamentary elections three weeks ago, they could serve as an example of how to put an end to quasi-dictatorship, rather than allowing people who have served prison sentences to return to power here. Our coalition was formed by a party whose leader has already been in prison and, during his time in power, faced the largest protests twice. Most recently, during the COVID period, when the entire country protested. They also elected as Speaker of the National Assembly a man who was legally convicted of insurance fraud. Maybe we would learn in next elections.

Man i am almost as happy as our own dictator fell. First of all, it gives hope to the people under these dictator fucktards change is possible. Secondly, Orban was pussylips' biggest partner. They did some shady deals about MOL. Even the railway station in Novi Sad, yes the one whose canopy fell and killed 17 people, is their partnership project. some good news, and finally we see that there is a way always.
Hungarians showed up big time, ignored propaganda and hate and voted orban out.
In balkans we can do same, people just need to get off their couches and go vote.
