Spring loaded ball point pen and wood matches. Smelled like a strong chemical fart.

I was in grade 7, four of us got pulled into the office. Pretty sure I wasn’t punished because I didn’t source the matches, I said I didn’t know, I also had the best marks and was never in trouble before.

Ironically in HS, I knew a guy who made a pipe bomb with matches and blew his hand off at a party, I wasn’t there. I met him after and he gave me my first beer, we were 16. Could have been me I guess, weird how our lives take all these turns.
