I am sure that Gen X is responsible for making Tony Horton wealthy.
Who here purchased the P90X DVD’s?
Who completed P90X?

Torrented that shit. I was so ripped I looked like a dude. I could do everything except the 1 arm pushups. Call out your soups!

rduddleson@reddit
The question is - did you do it the super fit Dreya way?
LarryLeo777@reddit
“What if I push off my heel instead of my toe?” - Dreya, seeking attention
Nightgasm@reddit
I did and was having great results til I injured cartridge in my wrist, probably from some of the high impact pushups. Ended up needing surgery and have been afraid to do it again ever since. Ended up trying Les Mills Pump instead as it's lower weight and more about cardio and repetition than max strength.
IDunnoReallyIDont@reddit
He’s a guest coach on Tonal so I’m still seeing him weekly ❤️❤️❤️
Defiant_Local_6191@reddit
Still love
InevitableFig9214@reddit
My husband did it to get fit for our wedding 16 years ago. We still quote some of the sayings. I tell our kids, “do your best, forget the rest,” before school every day. 🤣
ProcedureImportant91@reddit
We still use that line also in my house when we are having a rough go.
drew_almighty21@reddit
We started with Wii fit and worked our way up to P90x. We're in our 50s now but still doing a modified p90x routine at our own pace.
Puzzled-Locksmith-42@reddit
I did a few rounds of P90X.
missysweid@reddit
Superman Banana!!!
Misplaced_Texan@reddit
I burned the DVD's, does that count?
jfdonohoe@reddit
I worked at a design agency in the late 2000s that had the job to redesign the Team Beachbody website so it was a weird mashup of facebook, multilevel marketing, ecommerce, fitness tracker. Total cluster.
We got free copies of P90X so I tried it. Almost passed out the first week. Didnt complete.
McNasty420@reddit
You have to be in really good shape to start P90x. This shit is no joke. I got lactic acidosis after the first leg day.
Arhimin@reddit
Yeah, first go around, it was a solid week before I was able to walk without hurting.
Racer2311@reddit
The MLM slant ruined it for me, but the workouts were really good. Convenient when we had a newborn at home.
mostlygroovy@reddit
What MLM slant?
Racer2311@reddit
They started selling “Coach” memberships that sold shakes etc and they were supposed to sign up people under them to sell the shakes as well. Sort of like a triangle.
thejake1973@reddit
P90x is still a go to for me.
SunstoneFV@reddit
I completed P90X3. Never tried the OG.
SouthOrlandoFather@reddit (OP)
P90x3 gave us the 2026 Jake from State Farm.
wcm48@reddit
X1 and X3 grad.
I could prob recite the x3 videos by heart…. except Pilates. Never got into the Pilates workout. Weird vibes.
Still wear my x3 top when I workout on occasion.
dwkdnvr@reddit
X3 really hit the sweet spot IMHO. Short but meaningful workouts. Still have the DVDs
wcm48@reddit
For sure! So much bang for your buck. I have them as well. Would prob do well to mix one in every now and again!
McNasty420@reddit
CALL OUT YOUR SOUPS!
bluealien78@reddit
I did P90X3 in 2014. And aside from it kick-stating my fitness journey, I became great friends with my coach, and to this day she’s still one of my best friends.
raisedbypoubelle@reddit
I did. It gave me diarrhea and I lost no weight.
MassCasualty@reddit
If that's the one that had the "Cardio Fit" workout there's a hilarious moment like 20 minutes in where a guy in the back rows pukes.
Chemical-Carrot-9975@reddit
I did it twice in a row. Lost 50 lbs and got stronger than I’ve ever been in my life. At 40.
marge7777@reddit
Yup
pilph1966@reddit
Acquired it like others did. Did the program several times over the years since like 2010. Also had insanity but never did that one.
Patient_Character730@reddit
My husband and I did P90X twice for about a year each go around. I hated the Yoga like no other. I still hate Yoga. We were in our 30's when we started doing P90X. Still can quote some of the lines to one another "German Potato soup". It's probably the fittest I've ever been in my life, but not skinniest. I don't think I could do it again without breaking something.
TheNextMrsDraper@reddit
I had the same experience: got super fit, but didn’t lose any weight! I also hated the yoga workout and used to skip it and just do a restorative class instead. Oh many, “German potato soup!” 😆
McNasty420@reddit
The yoga was impossible. I'd rather do the 1 hour of pushups and pullups.
Patient_Character730@reddit
Same.
noscrubphilsfans@reddit
I always had to stop at Twisting Half Moon. You need to already be in shape to pull off that posture.
pillkrush@reddit
he was a hired spokesperson, doesn't seem like he got that rich off it
SouthOrlandoFather@reddit (OP)
He has a net worth of around $20M. I considered that wealthy even in 2026.
noscrubphilsfans@reddit
I've had them for 15+ years. Done P45X at least a dozen times, but only once for P90X lol.
sixfourtykilo@reddit
Wait, there was a 45m version? I've only done P90x3, which is like the HIIT version of p90 but in smaller 30m chunks.
After doing 3, I tried to do the original and got bored with his constant monologue.
noscrubphilsfans@reddit
Yea, you quit half way through lol.
gchance1@reddit
I torrented it and got in shape using it at the gym with the videos on my phone! I think I still have tbe files but they're really low res. Those snd Jillian Michaels videos.
AtikGuide@reddit
Yes. I still use it from time to time.
Beginning_Key2167@reddit
Bought them and completed them a few times.
opus_4_vp@reddit
Purchased? Haha! I pirated it like most.
I did finish it then didn't know what to do next.
R67H@reddit
Same here. But I never finished it. It was just another workout routine that was well marketed. Glad I didn't pay for it.
Adept_Pie3546@reddit
Still my go-to workout plan.
McNasty420@reddit
Same. That shit will put you in shape, period.
eyecandynsx@reddit
I still do Ab Ripper part of it. I hate that man. Lol
jeffsket@reddit
But I love it
jeffsket@reddit
My wife did for a while. Worked great! She looked awesome!
HighSeasArchivist@reddit
Purchased? No.
LadyNorbert@reddit
Who?
Mark_Underscore@reddit
Yall with DVDs are like boomers lol. Torrent that shit! I still have digital copies.
Apprehensive_Boat516@reddit
I did P90. Started P90X and my back went out...
godchauxprime@reddit
Focus on the task at hand!
renegade7717@reddit
great plan when there was very little like it at the time. Opened up the whole workout at home and as Tony said - turn gyms into parks 😂
largos7289@reddit
LOL me and the wife just discussed this, remember Tony Little with the ab -isolator? i had one. She mentioned something about the T-Bo guy and his exercise videos.
KarmaBike@reddit
I did it until something in my upper back snapped.
I liked the program and actually got pretty ripped with my girlfriend commenting I didn’t have my dad bod anymore. But my back told Tony to fuck off.
yallelike2eat@reddit
Did the whole program twice, still incorporate some of the things I learned. And that yoga workout is no joke.
SouthOrlandoFather@reddit (OP)
Wow!! Congrats!!
Critical-Range1213@reddit
I did it years ago when I was late 30’s age range. It worked great…I should find those dvds…and a dvd player I guess.
smokythejoker@reddit
Still great workouts. Tony is hilarious.
madff@reddit
Oh I bought and went through it twice from Beginning to end. I probably would again if I owned a DVD player
SouthOrlandoFather@reddit (OP)
Wow. That is impressive.
