I want to upgrade for like 400-500$, should i upgrade to i5-14600kf with motherboard and a cooler for like 500$ or get 4060 or 5060 for like 400-500$?

RTX 5060 or RTX 4060 would be a massive jump from a 1060. You’d feel that upgrade immediately in every game you play. What PSU do you have? The 4060/5060 needs a decent power supply and if yours is old or low wattage it may need replacing too.

Not with that CPU. Even a 3060 would have a nasty frame-time graph and wouldn't be near 100% usage.

Its odin ll 0600 i got it for like 60$

If you upgrade to a 4060 or 5060 though, I’d keep an eye on that PSU. The unit itself should handle it wattage-wise, but budget PSUs from lesser-known brands can be problematic in quality. A PSU is one of those things you don’t skimp on if you’re putting a expensive GPU on the line.

Both of your components are pretty far out of date, so upgrading just one will bottleneck the other. You're also stuck with PCie 3.0 which will limit the bandwidth of newer cards. I'd find a new board and go with Intel 12th gen or newer or the AMD equivalent, then see what is left for the card.

My motherboard is b250m i think it would work
Organic_Ad3558@reddit
B250 board won’t support the i5-14600KF. That CPU needs an LGA1700 socket (Z690/B660 or newer), so that upgrade means board + CPU + likely DDR4 or DDR5 RAM. Your current board is LGA1151 and is basically a dead platform with no meaningful upgrade path.

I got a ddr4 and I mean yeah ik i need to upgrade all 3, cpu, cooler, motherboard, all that is like 400-500$, or i can get a 5060 or 5060 ti for like 400-500$ also, i mean i always will, get bottlenecked but maybe i will upgrade in the future

What I mean by bottlenecked is not only in the technical sense (your board's PCIe 3.0 slot will significantly limit the card as well as your CPU), but that you won't be getting value out of a 5060. CPU bottlenecks don't just cause overall low fps...they also create stutters and micro-freezes when the CPU cannot prepare the frames quickly enough for the GPU. You'll also be limited by the fact that your are working with a quad-core CPU with no hyperthreading (logical processors).
Yes, there is always a bottleneck in a system, but most of them are negligible with a well built system. The bottleneck with a 5060 and above (or even a 40 series mid-high end GPU) will be extreme. For context I had a 1060 and an i5-7600k running BF1 (a CPU-heavy title) back in the day. Going up to a 1070 was enough to introduce a significant bottleneck, turning the game in a stutter-fest. I can confidently say that in most titles, a 5060/60ti will be a bad experience with your system config. W10 support has ended as well, so you might as upgrade the board so that you can also continue to get security updates.

What do you mainly use your PC for — gaming, creative work, streaming, or a mix? And what CPU and GPU are you currently running? That’ll make it much easier to tell you which upgrade will actually make a difference you’ll feel.

Used Ryzen 7 5700X + cooler and motherboard for ~$270, and then a secondhand 6700 XT for $230. /r/hardwareswap has good deals on stuff.

Yeah, upgrading just 1 May not do much but slightly upgrade all 3 main parts, The mobo, cpu and GPU. Don't go all in on one Part, do all 3
