32gb ddr5 1080p build or 32gb ddr4 1440p build is better?

im currently thinking to chose between 2 main part list
32gb ddr4 + r7 5700x + 7800xt // rx 9070
or
32gb ddr5 + r5 7600 // i5 14400f + rx 9060xt 8gb
its for gaming i cant really say a budget cuz im not in USA but its 80-82k in try for all parts and 45k in TRY aproximetly (about 1k in USD) which one should i do
arkanovac@reddit
i went with ddr4 with i7 14700 and rtx 5070, i dont regret it, i get the same fps as any rtx 5070 benchmark on youtube

I can't comment on ram difference.
But don't get 8gb vram for anything. Especially if you're looking at future proofing. 16gb is the way.
Hot_Confusion_Unit@reddit
I'd say go for newer gen, cut the ram to 16 and put the money on 5070 or 9070 for 1440p gaming. With older gen ram/cpu, you wont have the room for future updates that much.
Also non X 7600 doesn't really have that difference from 7500F in single player 1440p gaming.
With your budget I assume it's around 60K for main parts (cpu mobo ram gpu) soo, hear me out - 7500F with a mid range cooler (endorfy, peerless assasin etc) - motherboard b650 with wifi - 2x16 gig DDR5 CL36 ram - 9060xt 16 gb
From incehesap it shows about 60K, I believe from other places like hepsiburada or else you'd find better deals.
If budget is too tight I'd just drop the ram to 16, in 1440p you would see There's less difference in performance, it's more about GPU power. Also, it's costly to change GPU in future, rather than adding a 16 more ram when you have money. You can add ram for 10K TL in future, but selling your GPU for less, and getting a new one would be more than 15 20K difference.
Don't invest in an old system if the price difference is not worth it by the way, for example if it would cost you 20000 less I'd say go for it but think about upgrades, reselling etc too.

also i use akakçe to find best deals thats prob fine right?
Hot_Confusion_Unit@reddit
Yeap, that's what I usually do too, then I go on individual web sites to find deals.
rip_Bacon13@reddit (OP)
tysm i will try this
rip_Bacon13@reddit (OP)
oh okay thanks for huge help

The budget is in the kind of the place where you can only 1 part that will be future proof and others would be a hit or a miss. Ddr4 will limit cpu upgradability which will also mean a limit on best gpu you can have Ddr5 32 gb kit will allow you to get a better cpu or gpu later on which allows you to play better games.
Like if you are playing more cpu intensive games get a better cpu if you play more gpu intensive game get a better gpu For now if possible you can also do one thing use your old computers ssd, cpu, gpu which any one component and invest that amount into either gpu or cpu.
And if you go ahead and get a decent other part later
If it's your first build you are stuck like me as well. I only got a 256gb ssd to salvage from my old build which is a ddr3 build. Sadly.

Pretty much all games are 80% cpu 20% Graphics card. My buddy has the best ryzen cpu you can get and he can get better frames with no graphics care theretically than I can with 10600k and 3060ti in a lot of games. He has same gou but in Fortnite for example he gets 600+ frames if uncapped vs my 200. Same settings only difference is his cpu and ddr5.
Zangetsu_Storm@reddit
you gave example of comp game that are cpu intensive by design. So yes anyone playing val fortnight battlefield should focus on cpu.
But considering they are going 1440p gaming they are going to play story games ideally which are away more gpu intense than the games I listed.
For fortnite any 6gb card is already enough to overkill but for single player 12gb is sweet spot between performance and budget rn if you can reach there in budget.
PropPounder@reddit
Yeah that’s true. I should have said most competitive multiplayer shooters are cpu focused. That’s also cuz they’re all not optimized terribly.
Zangetsu_Storm@reddit
This advice is purely if you are upgrading in future else ddr4 seems good.
itsbildo@reddit
This feels backwards; you'd probably want DDR5 (faster RAM) for 1440, and DDR4 for 1080P, though I guess you could go either/or, however I'd go DDR5 1440P
rip_Bacon13@reddit (OP)
yeah but NVIDIA gpus are shit ton expensive and im planning to use Linux Fedora like 21k for 9060xt 16gb but the NVIDIA counterpart 5060 TI 16gb is 28k thats price of an ryzen5 7600 and if i choose amd i would basicly get the cpu for free
arek397@reddit
dont go 8gb graphic card
PropPounder@reddit
Yeah they really are shit. I have a 3060ti and it’s great until things start reaching that 8gb mark

1440p with AM4 for me. Nicest upgrade was the new screen after I bought this second hand computer a few months ago.
MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
MSI 2070 SUPER
2x16 DDR4 3600 MHZ
corsair RM850
Bequiet 601 case
Screen: aoc q27g3xmn/bk
Then recently GPU from 2070 super to 5070 with 4K DLDSR + DLSS and I'm happier :)
No point in buying expensive ram during these crazy times. I'll probably upgrade my CPU before I change my rig to AM5.
Zangetsu_Storm@reddit
Oh I love this one kinda. The cpu upgrade has lot of head room if the user gets a decent 12gb vram card.
Doktorek322@reddit
i on ddr4 i5 14600k and i would never give up playing on 1440p rn, its really hard choice but i still would go ddr5 and play 1440p on 9060xt, i did play on 1440p on rx7600 and finished so many games using fsr, kcd2 etc etc, its possible later i got rtx5070
Zangetsu_Storm@reddit
They are getting the 8gb variant 1440p struggles on it.
Doktorek322@reddit
yeah true, i managed to play on 1440p but textures low/medium in all games, but its possible for a period of time
Zangetsu_Storm@reddit
I think kinda useless to get ddr5 mem but 8gb vram you will never really see the ram used to full potential in most title a 12gb card would a good spot
SlashOrSlice@reddit
ddr5, much more future proof, and you can always get a nicer monitor later
rip_Bacon13@reddit (OP)
u mean graphics card? :P
SlashOrSlice@reddit
yeah lol
DepressedDrift@reddit
Thats 500 dollars for RAM where I live, compared to 230 for DDR4.......
FamiliarFilm8763@reddit
The post is not about the monitor. It is about being able to run 1080p or 1440p.
wolfhuntra@reddit
If money is a serious issue - DDR4. IF money is not an issue - then DDR5 for long term. Or stretch DDR4 til either DDR5 prices calm down or DDR6 comes out.
craaates@reddit
Could you go 16Gb ddr5 with r5 7600 and use the extra you save from the ram to get a 9060xt 16Gb? Then you can play 1440p now. 32Gb ram isn’t necessary for just gaming.
Troimer@reddit
well it depends on the games you play but I would go for option 2 with r5 7600. you can upgrade cpu and gpu maybe in 2 or 3 years and it will be a nice upgrade, while keeping all the other parts. for 1080p it‘s probably good.
