Disco Kiss

I had the biggest crush on Paul Stanley. I thought he was the most beautiful man I'd ever seen.

I saw them in concert when that was the album they were promoting. 1979 The Myriad OKC. Didn't much care for the album but got to see their act and hear some of their older stuff. Great show.

Never liked Kiss.

Kiss was my first concert, at the Cow Palace in San Francisco in 1979 during the Dynasty tour. I was 14, and my older brothers had to practically beg my parents to let me come along.

My first concert too! I don’t remember if it was the Dynasty tour though. I do remember that the Plasmatics opened for them. Wendy O Williams is difficult for the 13 year old in me to forget.

Best song Paul Stanley ever did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMa1yH5QCxk

Great entertainers, crap music. I'll die on this hill.

Was starting to shift away from KISS by Dynasty, but love that record to this day due to Ace's contributions (went trick or treating as Ace a couple of Halloweens back then).

Seven year old me thought KISS was the greatest band in the world.
Seventeen year old me thought they were the lamest band in the world.

When I think of roller skating, I think of the local rink and how they would always play Debbie Deb's "Look Out Weekend," Freestyle's "Don't Stop the Rock," and Egyptian Lover's "Egypt Egypt" on a constant rotation. They never dipped into KISS, though.

KISS sucked. Still do, but they did too.

We usually skated on Saturday or Sunday afternoons in like 6th-8th grade. The 8-Wheeler baby!

I saw them life in San Diego…full makeup. Still one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. They knew how to put on a show!!!!
LibertyMike@reddit
Yeah, I've seen them twice, and they are the best live band I've seen.

Kissco!

My dad took me to see them in Cincinnati - first concert I ever went to.

Friday night skate after school....those were the days.
