Blind Melon’s “No Rain” with the iconic Bee Girl being mocked at the beginning and then finding her people. Never gets old!
GonnaGoFat@reddit
Did they have any other hits? That’s the only Blind Mellon song I think I’ve ever heard. I don’t mean any disrespect and I’m pretty sure the singer had been battling heavy drug addictions from a super young age. But I remember hearing no rain a few times then hearing that the singer died of an overdose months later.
OnlyFreshBrine@reddit
SOUP IS AMAZING
No_Fun_7068@reddit
Galaxie is an amazing song
Plus-Pomegranate8045@reddit
You’re not wrong, there’s no reason for anyone to downvote you. They are known as a one hit band and that’s the only song most people would know. And Shannon Hoon died only a couple of years after that so there were only 2 albums (technically 3, but that came out in the 2000s with a different singer). It doesn’t mean the rest of their material isn’t good, but they only had one mainstream hit.
HaloTightens@reddit
Give the rest of their stuff a listen sometime. No Rain is amazing— and it’s one of their LEAST-good songs! Their Soup album in particular is a treasure.
They did also get some airplay with Change and Toes Across the Floor, but for some reason No Rain is all anyone knows.
squee_bastard@reddit
I listen to Change at least once a week, such an underrated song.

I was just starting HS in 1992. I loved this song (still do) and became a huge REM fan. The boy I had a crush on (who was very musically gifted and played in a garage band) would randomly break into all these little dance moves that Mike does throughout this video. Whenever I see the video it reminds me of him (in a good way). REM practically defined my life in HS.
meggsovereasy@reddit
Same. I grew up in Dallas and there was a couple of alternative stations that this was constantly in rotation. My mom says she always associates this song what my teenage years. I used to play it so loud at our pull all hours of the day.

Jamiroquai’s video was awesome, but just on the music, he is totally “GOAT’d.” That disco beat blended with dance music made a super futuristic and unique sound. In my opinion, no one has been able to match it. Dua Lipa bases some of her inspiration on Jamiroquai, and it sounds really good.
