You won’t see them together. Bigfoot’s creator, Bob Chandler bc he refused to sell his licensing rights to Feld Entertainment (the company who runs Monster Jam). So Bigfoot still competes and tours, just not with Monster Jam.
It’s interesting that he licensed through hot wheels to sell toys. I wonder if it’s a benefit long term or not, my kids love Grave Digger and El Toro Loco, they have no idea who Bigfoot is.
I also read that Bob Chandler and Dennis Anderson didn’t get along at all. Chandler thought Anderson ripped him off.
Took the kids to see Bigfoot at the county fair a few years ago. Great time, free admission to the monster truck show with fair admission (hell of a lot cheaper than monster jam)….
Yeah, they did away with cars because they were getting harder to find at all the tourist stuff they do. And the trucks are more about doing flips and stuff now. That’s why I like the smaller shows.
Back when the monter truck shows were still a spectacle. I remember going to a show as a kid where they had so many different side shows. There was a flaming motorcycle stunt, a guy in a box with "dynamite", Truckzilla crushing cars, and of course monster trucks.
I took the family to monster jam last month and it was a snooze. Just big trucks doing timed laps and trick point competition. It felt like watching a two hour toy commercial. We left halfway through because everyone got bored.
SUNSET SPEEDWAY PRESENTS THE DUKES OF DIRT, DERBYYYYY! THE BARONS OF FAST, THE KINGS OF CRASH, IT'S A SMASH UP DERBY SPECTACULAR, WITH CHILLS, THRILLS, AND BONE CRUNCHING SPILLS!
This and the tractor pulls they used to do with the giant Red Man Tobacco logo across the sled are cherished childhood memories. Nothing like being in a closed arena with machines running quad supercharged aircraft engines and straight pipes. Not a hint of hearing protection for our developing ears, and 100% bad ass!
Reminds me of a toy my brother had. Had to look up the name and it was the Bigfoot Crunch Arena by Hotwheels. It had a battery powered Bigfoot and these foil cars for it to crush that could then be reformed with a mold it came with.
Bigfoot doesn’t run in monster jam. They run independent races and hot wheels events. Bob Chandler refused to sell the rights of Bigfoot to the owners of monster jam
Saw Bigfoot up close at a car show ts first year on tour. Besides its size, I was enthralled with all of the broken glass, and jagged metal imbedded in its massive tires.
Recently I’ve been getting back into the R/C car hobby, and my 2nd purchase was an impulse buy of the Traxxas Bigfoot 😂. Looks just like this one, and does killer wheelies! My dogs love chasing it
My wife and I always like to debate this, even though neither one of us was particularly big into thus kind if thing. I say Big Foot is the best because it's the OG, she's a grave digger fan.
When I was a kid there was a creek next to my house with a 10 foot “valley” on the bank of the creek that looked unnaturally out of place. Urban legend was that it was created by Bigfoot plowing through the woods up to the creek. Made perfect sense.
