Say what you want about the corruption but I prefer it this way

Oklahoma ST pulled me over and I had no idea what I did. He says I failed to use my turn signals. He’s probably telling the truth even though I always do use them out of habit, I’ve had a problem with the stick recently and it probably got loose again. If I tap it up or down it’s supposed to blink 3 times and self cancel, but it never initiates if I don’t hold it there for a second. I just tap it fast cause the damn thing drives me crazy.
Apparently it’s just a fine if you don’t wanna deal with it, and it doesn’t go on your driving record. I remember some years back Louisiana small towns were on the same tip. Just a way for the county to generate revenue without having long term consequences effect drivers and insurance. It may be bullshit, but I’d rather deal with this than dot inspections. I’m all for it as long as I don’t have to go to court or worry for My record.

It’s such a shame. It will be the downfall of society. This is the for sure divider of classes. No equal opportunity anymore. It’s so out of control it’s depressing

We’re not even talking about that weirdo. Imagine having all the context out in front of you, and still choosing to not read it. 🤦🏻♂️

I live in Oklahoma they are pulling trucks over for anything and doing inspections. I got pulled over and given an inspection for going 60 in a 55. Gave me an inspections and passed everything but still gave me a violation for 1 to 5 over and said he wouldn’t even write me a ticket because it was meaningless.

What area? I currently pass through there for work.
Wagger_Dagger@reddit
The OKC area, a trooper got hit and killed recently so they’re on the warpath. I got pulled at the i44 to i35 ramp coming from Tulsa.

Don't trust the record part.
That may be true for now, but plaentir is working with many insurance companies and make no mistake they have this info as part of their profile on you. I would expect insurance companies to be using this info in the near future for rates if they aren't already doing it behind the scenes.

Lol

Its funny that you are saying that but toyota, bmw, and ford have been caught selling your driving info to insurance companies basically any car thats connected to the internet could potentially be selling your info and or driving habits to the insurance companies

Random apps too. Idr which one off the top of my head but like dominoes or something similar was selling gps location/speed data to insurance companies.

Undoubtedly I believe you. They’re so schemey it’s almost unreal. They’d have to go through every state and county/parish. Talk about petty and greedy as if they don’t make enough. But it’s not about that. It’s about them justifying their actions for more power and control. At least I’m good for now, these get deleted within 90 days of payment. I understand that can change in the near future though

It is unreal, it's insane how we have let these corporations bribe our politicians into compliance making our lives worse.
Continuous tax cuts for the ultra wealthy while the rest of us get dumber and poorer.

Highway robbery is nothing new.
