Works on EDC Pouches too
legion_XXX@reddit
Why are we still allowing the ETQ to be sold as a TQ when it doesnt stop bleeding?

Had a customer save a little girls life with one a week ago...

A broken clock is right twice a day. The etq has no approvals other than the manufacturers "testing". These suck when the CAT2 is available and proven.
I would he highly skeptical here. And "trust me bro" isn't a case for the etq.
hottubrhymemachine@reddit
Neither tourniquet option is CoTCCC approved.

They went to a rural urgent care, i think a level 4 trauma center and did their testing. It was a disaster.
MagicalTaint@reddit
You can put multiple kits together yourself for these prices.
MOF1fan@reddit
No kidding. About shat myself when I saw the sale price of $115 😂
MagicalTaint@reddit
I work in healthcare so it's a bit of a cheat code but even at full retail you can do better on your own. I get those $10 Molle trauma pouches and tourniquets on Amazon, most everything else I source from unused sterile procedure trays at work.
Recent-Honey5564@reddit
Oh how did that push dose epi end up in my pocket? Weird.
Disastrous_Cress_326@reddit
And the only trauma the average redditor has had…..2 elections.Â
Panthean@reddit
I always do this. Pre made kits rarely have exactly what I want anyhow.
This pouch is also sold by itself, and there are others with similar designs.
snackshack@reddit
Yup. I bought this pouch a few years ago and built the kit to fit my needs.
MagicalTaint@reddit
I've given kits out to shooting buddies, family members, neighbors. Gathering sealed supplies that will just be thrown away otherwise at work, the waste I see daily should be a crime.

What’s a solid list for starters?
Mac_Soprano@reddit
For trauma/hemorrhage control, any tourniquet TCCC endorsed (preferably 2), rolled/folded gauze, gauze pads, hemostatic gauze (if you have budget for it), nitrile gloves, Israeli bandage/elastic bandage (ETD), shears, SAM splint, chest seal, nose hose (optional if you have some training), Mylar blanket, sharpie, and small light.
Then take a stop the bleed course or Dark Angel.
MagicalTaint@reddit
Tourniquet, scissors (trauma shears or blunt tipped), dermabond, quick clot, gauze (ABD or enough 4x4 to create a pad), kerlix or an ace wrap, some sort of tape (silk, paper etc), various band aids, a couple pair of gloves.
Just look at what's in the kits for sale and replicate. Mine are geared toward a range incident so I have two tourniquets, quick clots and ABD pads.

You’d be a fool to spend money on this.
