Are there any pilots here that would be interested in flying from Wisconsin to California with some rescued laboratory beagles? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you guys so much for all that you do and it’s so awesome reading through all the posts here with all the awesome experience and expertise! I’m a volunteer on the placement team with an organization that is rescuing some laboratory beagles I need some assistance with getting them to their adoptive approved homes in California! We have crates resources all everything needed. If there’s anyone that would be able to help in any capacity, we’d greatly appreciate it. Please feel free to send me a message or comment below, and I’d be happy to discuss more!

Just curious, why California? Are there no beagle homes closer than 1500 miles?

This is speculation on my part, but I'm guessing these beagles were extracted from Ridglan Farms outside of Madison, WI by activists. If I'm right, I imagine there would be an impetus to physically remove the animals as far from WI as possible to minimize the possibility of legally enforced return to the facility.

Wow! If so any pilot who touches this is eligible for some serious felony charges.

Yes.
The group organizing this even has an action guide on their website where they advise people to budget a few extra days to be held in jail and they designate red/yellow/green teams. Green teams are largely moral support to overwhelm law enforcement as general protestors, yellow teams are at risk of misdemeanors, red teams would the folks entering the building and retrieving the dogs and the action guide disclaims possible felony charges.
That's just for the folks on the ground at the facility. Pilots engaged in interstate transport enter a completely different level of criminal prosecution risk. Granted, they have a fair chance of a plausible deniability defense that as far as they knew this was this was all orchestrated by a legitimate rescue but that's not worth very much if you have to pony up tens of thousands of dollars for a federal criminal defense lawyer.
This is a completely bonkers activist group who may be well-intentioned but is making the worst possible decisions in how to effect this rescue.

Just as full disclosure. About 30 dogs have been removed from the facility, there are some estimated 2000 in total -- several have been returned by police after 27 people were arrested last time. "Extracted" in this case means "stolen" -- another attempt is being made April 19th.
While I tend to doubt DA's in the area or Wisconsin courts would pursue the matter much and everyone arrested last time was released the next day, the Trump DOJ pursuing federal charges along the lines of interstate trafficking of stolen goods would not shock me and they would have ample jurisdiction if organizers are flying them out across state lines in droves.
This group's hopes are to have a couple thousand people show up so they can overwhelm law enforcement with crowd control. In the last attempt, they brought crowbars and forcibly entered the facility.
Anyone choosing to participate in this should understand what it is they are actually getting into. For starters, it is not a sanctioned rescue operation. It's not clear who is organizing it or how much due diligence is being done on vetting applicants to receive these dogs. It's not even clear who is taking possession of them on the ground or if it'll just be a free for all.

We have right now a couple hundred applications and the majority of them are in California so that’s a great question!
Our rescue network and our majority of volunteers are in California so to provide the best support for these dogs, and to go to approved homes, we need them to go to California!
LeptonWrangler@reddit
And even if so, does it really require air transit?

I can’t help you with the flying, but the people who do this to beagles before they are rescued should be put up against a wall and shot, or much worse.

As mentioned by others, look into Pilots n Paws. I fly for them regularly. This trip would need to be broken up into multiple legs, as most GA pilots wouldn't want to fly the whole trip on their own.

There is a group, Dog is my Copilot who does work like this.
