3030 machining an LCP slide!

Shit quality because I didn’t intend to start a YouTube channel but here we are.
3030 desktop machines have been slept on. I want to change that.

17-4 ph so I can heat treat it. Machines really well once you have enough rigidity to not work harden it, but even on the stock machine I was still able to get working small parts, just not that fast. With a few upgrades my MRR is 25x what it used to be.

How much of an issue are you having with dimensional stability on the heat treats. I'm thinking of trying out 17-4 as well.

Haven’t tried yet, I did a dumbass and have to redo this part. Though I suspect I have enough rigidity now for a hard milling finishing pass if I need it.
