I decided I wanted an e-bike at the end of March. My 1st thought was I would just go on Amazon and get a $5-$600 e-bike and ride it around and see how much I would enjoy it. After doing some research and seeing broken frames and battery fires I decided that wasn’t a great idea. So off to YT (I’m a sucker for YT reviews). I saw quite a few reviews on Lectric bikes and decided the Xpress 750 was the one for me. Stared at it on their website for a couple of days and on 4/1 they threw in free panniers, a lock and mirrors. I pulled the trigger and purchased it. Today I took it for my 1st ride. At 9:00 AM I was off to see how far I could go. My favorite dispensary is about 15 miles away so I thought I’d head that way and see what happens. Well I had a strong wind I at my back that I didn’t notice till I turned around. Made it all the way to the dispensary in PAS 2. I maintained a speed of around 14MPH with very little effort and not even a dent in the battery bar. Then the ride home I felt the wind. Had to be at least 20MPH right into my face. I was surprised how easy it was, using PAS 4, to maintain 14MPH into this breeze, still pretty relaxed riding. The battery really started to drop quickly though. Made it home after 31 miles with two yellow bars still lit. Overall it was a great ride. I’m really impressed with how little effort you need to maintain a decent speed. The seat held up and with all the adjustments you can make with the handle bar you can find a comfortable position. I give this a bike a 10 out of 10 for our 1st ride. Think I’ll ride it to my friends birthday party tomorrow, another 30 miles or so round trip.
