Which one is better? Not sure which gym to signup with.
I'm in my 20s so looking for a younger crowd ideally.
Both are technically in Allen but they're closer to me than the Plano gyms.

I DO NOT recommend Fitness Connection. Years ago, I applied and received a free pass to try out the gym, upon entering, the attendant took away my free pass and literally told me to come back when my current gym membership expires and sign up. Shady business.

Crunch east Plano and eos east Plano are both very good gyms. Cheap, and not really full.

Honestly, depends on what your goals are. If you’re physique driven and are worried about equipment and crowdedness, I personally think the fitness connection in Allen is better. Yes, it’s old. Yes, it’s not the it spot for people in their 20’s that go to the gym, but it has a LOT of equipment. I will say the dumbbells suck but a lot of options in the way of machines and cables. I got a good work out every time I trained there. If you are more interested in the social aspect, go to Crunch. Lots and lots of young people there but it does get ridiculously crowded and you may be waiting for machines. Sometimes the staff can be kind of pushy about trying to get you to do personal training which can get annoying. Crunch’s facility is newer and nicer. Not super impressed by the equipment and annoyed that I have to wait a while for them. At the end of the day I think you can get a decent work out at any gym but that’s my take depending on what you’re prioritizing

It's not? I thought Fitness Connection would have a younger crowd too since the membership is cheap. I mean it's around the same as Crunch, if we're talking lowest/base plan without the perks.
Why is it that Crunch has a younger crowd?
I get the job done at my apartment gym, tbh. The only downside is that I cannot free barbell bench and have to use a smith machine. So yeah I do care about being around a younger crowd where I can socialize more, maybe even get some girl's number.

Yeah, fitness connection does have a younger crowd but it’s not where the majority of younger people in the area work out at- hence why it’s less crowded. Doesn’t mean there’s not young people there. Saw lots of 20 somethings in that gym. But Crunch has a surplus of them so to speak. Crunch does a lot of marketing and attracts people with special sign up promotions, and a lot of people post for social media at that gym and young people have kinda just clung to it.

I’ve also come to find, especially in the DFW area with gyms, is that you can pick only 2 of 3 qualities in a gym. A nice/clean facility, not crowded, cheap. If it’s nice and not crowded, it’ll be more expensive. Cheap and nice, gonna be crowded. Not crowded and cheap, probably not gonna be a top of the line facility.

Gotta get a free pass and try them both out at the times you would normally go to see if that works for you. Let us know which you end of choosing. Good luck!
