What do you guys do with all of the stock parts you remove?

I just removed my rear seats, and I’m not sure it makes sense to keep them for *five years*, just in case I sell my Tacoma in the future.
Like, I know it's going to reduce the resale value of my Tacoma, but also lugging these things around for five years seems kind of silly.
I don't really have a ton of storage space because I'm a full-time overlander.
The question is, what the hell do I do with these spare parts now?
I don't think anyone would BUY them. They're stock.
Is there a service that will buy them?
It seems really stupid to just throw them out.

Someone has a stock Tacoma with busted up seats that would love to buy them. I’ve sold plenty of my stock Jeep parts on Marketplace. Sometimes take a few weeks but it beats storing them and it turns into money you can put into your build. Good luck!

Interesting. I didn't even think you'd be able to sell them on Marketplace.
Okay, I'll take pictures and try that today.
Thanks for the feedback.

If you don’t get any traction on marketplace list on eBay. Same idea. Even bigger market.

I've found you can sell literally anything on marketplace. Weird old tire, strange blanket rack, dirty garage mats. Someone will show up and give you $20

That being said, I don’t have expensive cars. I never lost a single thought about resale value. Do me it ruins the fun of modifying.
Buy car, rip things out, change every single part that in your eyes need to be changed. Accept any value decrease (or maybe even increase in some cases) and have a good time.

They will more than likely go really fast on marketplace

Wow, that's crazy. I wouldn't think that there'd be such a strong demand for something local.
Okay, that's good feedback.

Tacoma is the most popular Japanese truck in the USA. Surely you see them everywhere.
Also you could sell directly to your mechanic or body guy if you know em

Oh yeah, especially with Toyotas, I've been looking for some stock bumpers for my 07-13 Tundra and they get sniped instantly when put up.
LintsKing@reddit
I add them to the pile of used parts behind my shed. Just in case I need them later..... I have parts in the pile for cars I don't even have anymore.
Tyraid@reddit
Put them in a pot on the stove and make stock
Gullible-Roof-4605@reddit
Put the on a shelf in my garage saying I’ll use those some day…move them 100 times, then eventually put them on marketplace and they sell instantly
DudeWhereIsMyDuduk@reddit
I sold them.
h3lium-balloon@reddit
Plan on selling them.
Put them in my garage for safekeeping until I can get around to listing them.
Think, “damn I really need to list those parts everything I go in my garage.”
Repeat for years.
smOkey__17@reddit
Just sell them, you would be surprised, people are looking for stock parts all the time
shadow247@reddit
Yup. And then in 5 years, he can go on marketplace and buy a seat for 150 bucks.
