Rx9070(non xt) or rtx5070

Which one should I buy? I'm torn between the RX 9070 and the RTX 5070. The RX 9070 is roughly $30–50 more expensive than the RTX 5070 from where I’m from. I'm mainly using it for gaming and prefer quiet fans, reasonable temperatures, and strong overall performance.
Only downside for the rtx5070 is the 12gb of ram, but is it really that big of a problem?
Any help/advice is welcome

I purchased 9070 two months ago and I am very happy with it

Don’t forget the 5070 has that awful power connector.

On the plus side though its not pounding 650+watts through it so you "could" feel a little safer about it.

9070, faster in raster, faster in rt, more vram, more stable drivers, and a slight energy efficiency advantage. And if it matters in your configuration, Radeon has much lower CPU overhead.

9070, because it has more VRAM and to avoid Nvidia, DLSS 5 and Jensen Huang.

it's a really difficult one to answer really, since both give roughly the same FPS, but the better option from those two is definitely RTX 9070, and this is coming from someone who's not a fanboy of either companies.
reason for NVIDIA would be the better compatibility with productivity apps & AI, and NVIDIA DLSS is also better for gaming than AMDs FSR... but I'm just gonna be real with you: 5070 12GB is such an ass purchase, because it's in a really weird spot due to having 12GB of VRAM, which is just not a good deal in 2026.
