Seeing all 3 Flying Honus on the same day???

April 10th around 5pm local. I was waiting for boarding at Narita airport when I saw a big blue turtle head staring at me a few gates away. It was one of the Flying Honu! I literally ran from excitement to take some pics lol. I thought I was already lucky seeing one, but as I was walking to the plane, I looked across the tarmac from the jet bridge, and saw the other two also parked nearby! An awesome sight to cap my Japan trip.

I know pretty well the JA382A as I fly her on MSFS 2024 :)

Also on the photo that you took of JA382A there is a cool illusion on the rudder that looks like removed

Yeah wtf am I looking at here?

the lower rudder control surface is pointed towards the camera, you can see the shadow :)

Are they flying often? Last year when I was there, all 3 of them were also there

Though rare in terms of population, these exquisite creatures are by no means a rare sight in their natural habitat of Narita airport, where they rest their wings between their migration to and from the tropical skies of Hawaii.
But today, all three have been brought together by chance. They do not seek each other as a mate, for they find their numbers sufficient. But they are nonetheless delighted to see both their brothers and sisters. As their numbers dwindle and their brotheren explore all corners of the world, these three are content with the tropical paradise of Hawaii and their home of Narita.
