Car enthusiasts what car do you consider a supercar that other car guys dont think is one?

Honda NSX.
Mixed answer depending on who you ask, but it was a serious challenger to the entry level mid-engined supercar market in the early 90s, and exotic in every way to me.
Careless_Studio_1293@reddit
There are people who don’t consider the NSX a super car?
pbgod@reddit
The 1st generation NSX is not a supercar. There is no universal definition, but IMO it's a sports car. To me, it needs to check more exotic boxes.
The engine is not exotic. It's a mildly reworked passenger car engine. It's appropriate for a sports car and makes a strong number for 1993, but not enough to be really special.
The transmission options were a 5/6sp manual or a 4 speed auto. The fact a bad auto transmission that is both slower and less engaging was on offer suggests that the market for the car leaned more toward daily use than performance. Cars that we can consider contemporary supercars like the 348 didn't offer an auto at all, then the 355 was manual or offered the F1, trying to push the tech needle forward.
Mid-engine is the most exotic argument, but MR2, Fiero, 914, Boxster, etc are also mid-engine. That aspect alone is insufficient, as those are all definitely not supercars.
In terms of performance in various metrics, the NSX is comparable to the standard range of 911 at the time, it was just slightly quicker than a 964 Carrera, about the same as a 993 Carrera S, and slower than all of the faster variants. The 911 is almost the archetypal sports car, so if that's what you compete with, it's hard to say your car is more than a sports car.
Autobacs-NSX@reddit
It checks literally box of being a supercar. Really the only ding against it is its horsepower figure, which makes it an unconventional supercar at worst, but it still is.
Heavy_Gap_5047@reddit
If an NSX is a supercar then so it a Fiero.
pbgod@reddit
I presented a bunch of support for my opinion and you just basically said "nu-uhh" with nothing. Great content.
Heavy_Gap_5047@reddit
I don't, if an NSX is a supercar then so is a Fiero.
Confident-Option-207@reddit
It's just not got the power in some peoples eyes I'd say
It's like a 400cc bike Vs a litre bike kinda, everyone wants the power, no one cares if the "slower" one can take a corner leagues faster
B5_S4@reddit
The NA1 NSX ran the 1/4 faster than it's contemporary Porsche Turbo.
red18wrx@reddit
Porsche is not a supercar.
Outside-Rain-7410@reddit
See some of the other responses I received saying a 911 or C4 vette were better. The NSX was made to compete with the contemporary Ferrari 348 and later F355, and it certainly matched or exceeded performance there. If they were to drive one, they might get it.
Heavy_Gap_5047@reddit
Lacks HP and AWD.
icientyouth@reddit
I don’t think anyone knowledgable about supercars would argue against the NSX being a supercar. When I didn’t know better I laughed at the NSX because it had a weak little V6 compared to the V8 in my C5 Z06. Now, I’d take the NSX over the C5 any day.
DerekJeterRookieCard@reddit
Would you take it over a C6Z? Just curious.
icientyouth@reddit
I’ve never driven a C6, so hard to say. Would I take it over a C8Z06? No.
TehSvenn@reddit
Great sports car, but not exclusive or exotic enough to be a supercar in my opinion. Just like the C8 today, and the 911 Turbo S, it's a sports car that does a hell of a job competing with supercars.
special5221@reddit
Are you seriously saying the NSX isn’t exclusive enough?? Didn’t they make less than 1,000 cars per model year? Hard to get much more rare without being a one-off.
FederalExpressMan@reddit
That’s because no one bought it. It also wasn’t the best car in its class when it was sold. It competed against the 911 and corvette, and both were better.
SuperPark7858@reddit
You think a c4 Vette is better than an NSX? And it certainly holds its own against a 911.
It's a stand alone model. That makes it exclusive. It had the looks and the performance. NSX is definitely a supercar.
FederalExpressMan@reddit
Read the publications like motor trend or road&track from the 90s. In terms of pricing it competes with the zr1….$80k range. In terms of hp, around 300 horsepower. It always got lumped in the group with the Supra and rx7. They are all different cars with different personalities.
By the late 90s no one was buying the NSX as it was too expensive for outdated performance.
I have owned 3 Hondas/acuras in my life (Integra GSR, RSX), last one being a s2000 for 15 years, so I know my Hondas.
special5221@reddit
The C4 ZR1 was probably better. But regardless, add in the 911 and they all three can be super cars at the same time.
Hour_Hawk_6147@reddit (OP)
That is a defintely a supercar in my eyes.
jckipps@reddit
It often isn't considered such because of its ancestry, but the c8 is a supercar in every sense other than in price.
Heavy_Gap_5047@reddit
To my mind a supercar requires AWD.
withsexyresults@reddit
And looks
keytone6432@reddit
Yeah it looks like what a 12 year old would design. Like a toy.
Such a bummer because they would convert a lot of people if they actually looked good.

FLOHTX@reddit
It just looks like the cheap Chinese/Temu version of an actual exotic sports car. Weird proportions.
PriorElectronic5947@reddit
Fr. It's Hot Wheels. Or Temu Lamborghini. The C7 looks like a modern Vette. Still a little child's dream but it's still pretty good for an American design.
Southern-Usual4211@reddit
The C8 looks like an unlicensed supercar from a GTA game
RollForIntent-Trevor@reddit
Agree.
C7 is dope...
C8 looks like you tried to draw a McLaren from memory.
ConfidentialStNick@reddit
The Temu Lambo that’s more reliable, cheaper/easier to repair, has better tech and more well thought out interior usability.
Lambo is a Louis Vuitton handbag. It’s a display of wealth.
Hour_Hawk_6147@reddit (OP)
Which variant?
Rare-Bet-870@reddit
I wouldn’t say base but z06
Hour_Hawk_6147@reddit (OP)
Yh for sure thats a supercar.
jrileyy229@reddit
I think c8 is going to be the top answer. If you ask someone is a 2020 Audi R8 a supercar, they'd say yes.
If you ask someone if a 2020 Corvette is a supercar, they'd say no. But the Corvette beats it in basically everything.
Opeth4Lyfe@reddit
Yeah 100%. C8 is a pretty unique case. Sports car build/price. Super car performance and numbers. Very very few cars cost half the price (or less) of a Ferrari/Lamborghini that absolutely crush them in performance. Especially when you start talking about the Z06/ZR1/x.
jrileyy229@reddit
I would be using the term hypercar when you get to zr1 world .. But yes, it competes with cars that have an extra 0 on the price tag
NHRADeuce@reddit
I would go so far as to say the ZR1X is in a category by itself. Other than a ZR1X you have to spend millions to smoke a Lucid Air or Tesla Plaid. It's unnatural see a car launch harder than and then pull away from either of those cars.
C8 base - not a supercar, but close C8 Z06 - supercar C8 ZR1 - hypercar C8 ZR1X - ????
jrileyy229@reddit
If you're just talking about going in a straight line, then sure.
NHRADeuce@reddit
Are you not aware of the track records the ZR1 and ZR1X are setting at every track they run on??
jrileyy229@reddit
I'm well aware, you're talking about lucid airs and stuff... Drag racing is the only thing they do well. The zr1 hangs with the big boys on tracks.
Johnmedv@reddit
You can’t really do a list like that though. Hypercars are about more than raw performance. They are usually very limited Numbers, special editions of already somewhat rare cars etc.
A base 911 is a sports car. That doesnt make a 911 Turbo S or a GT3 RS hypercars.
Hypercars are more like your Bugatti, Pagani, Koenigsegg etc. - or maybe limited editions of supercars. Think SLR 722, Aventador SVJs and so on.
Even if a ZR1X compares in raw power/performance, then thats about it. Its about more than just that.
NHRADeuce@reddit
You're talking about exotics. Hyper and super refer to performance, not scarcity. Mazda only built 600ish MX-30s, does that make them special? Also, a Turbo S or GT3 RS don't have hypercar performance. There's a solid argument to be made that they are supercars though.
djsimp123@reddit
Which corvette? The base corvette is a cayman contender and that’s a Sports car
butterball85@reddit
Mid engine, dual clutch, rwd, 500hp na v8, exotic styling, double wishbones all around. Take out the word corvette and it's a supercar
withsexyresults@reddit
Styling is more generic than exotic. Does that mean boxsters are also supercars
overindulgent@reddit
The base booster has 250 LESS horsepower. Top trim it’s still 150hp down… Also it doesn’t have a NA v8.
withsexyresults@reddit
Top trim has like 490hp and a lot lighter
overindulgent@reddit
430hp is the highest spec Boxter I found. Time c8 is pushing 550hp base.
BuildNuyTheUrbanGuy@reddit
No because it doesn't meet what that guy above you said.
withsexyresults@reddit

BuildNuyTheUrbanGuy@reddit
That wasn't my argument
withsexyresults@reddit
k
5hakey@reddit
You drive a Honda Civic, maybe sit this one out my guy.
withsexyresults@reddit
But also hit my FIRE numbers so arguably I’m like the target demographic for corvette 😂
5hakey@reddit
Retiring early with Civic money to argue online about things you can’t ever afford. That’s a set of life choices.
withsexyresults@reddit
Cheap civic means you can aggressively invest. I mean corvettes are like 60-100, pretty trivial to buy
SailingSpark@reddit
Generic? The C8 turns more heads than any Porsche.
withsexyresults@reddit
Does it? Both are pretty common
jrileyy229@reddit
Just the base c8. It's a completely different car than a cayman.
IAmBecomeTeemo@reddit
Base Cayman has 300 HP and does 0-60 in 4.9s. Base C8 Corvette has 500 HP and does 0-60 in 2.9s. The Cayman also comes in a manual and has an emphasis on better driving dynamics. If the Cayman is a sports car (it is), the Corvette is something different.
ChemistRemote7182@reddit
How so? Its significantly bigger and significantly quicker. Cost is similar of course, but the Vette has always completed with the 911 not the Cayman
overindulgent@reddit
550 horsepower. Mid engine. DCT. Pulls a lateral G on the skid pad.
If I just gave you those specs and said I was buying a car that could do that you would be asking me which super car it was.
Rare-Bet-870@reddit
Oh shit I was thinking maybe lt3 but damn.
overindulgent@reddit
Higher trim c8’s are beasts but the base is no slouch. Pretty crazy honestly. I’m hoping to buy one later this year. Just praying a used base model falls to $50k. They’re honestly pretty close to that cost now.
Acrobatic-Let-6620@reddit
Looking at pure performance numbers the base c8 is faster than 90% of exotic supercars. 0-60 in 2.7 and 1/4 mile in the low 10’s. Why is usually isn’t considered us due to it being mass produced can be purchased for under $80k.
overindulgent@reddit
I’m hoping to buy a used base c8 for $50k later this year. That’s the max I could go on a car note and I’m holding out for a c8. Maintenance will be 10x cheaper than if I get a used m4. (I already drive a turbo BMW).
Legitimate-Lab9077@reddit
I would definitely say the base. The base stingray 0-60 and 2.9 seconds the cure Lamborghini countache is a hybrid that is considered a hyper car by every publication that’s reviewed it and it only hits 60 0.1 seconds faster at
1290_money@reddit
100% agree
therealjohnsmith@reddit
Grandsport (old e-ray) does too imo
Legitimate-Lab9077@reddit
All of them. It is objectively the right shape the right size the right layout the right performance. The only reason it’s not is because of the name on the back.
Beginning_Ad_6616@reddit
Honestly; from the base c8 stingray up offers supercar level performance so I’d consider from there up to be a supercar.
It may not carry the exclusivity that comes with owning some European branded supercars; but, its handling, styling and performance is where it needs to be. I also think it’s cool that it’s easier and cheaper to maintain, and more affordable than its European competition. Plus I personally like to modify my vehicles and I’d never want to modify an expensive European supercar because I wouldn’t have the funds to replace it if something when wrong…that isn’t the case with a Corvette and you don’t really need to for the ZR1 it’s already making insane power.
Muttonboat@reddit
Most of them
ape_ck@reddit
yeah, came here to say this. Having owned a couple, you're correct. I would tell people its a seventy thousand dollar supercar when they asked about it. I had both of them out at track days.
Timewastinloser27@reddit
My thoughts too. If they wouldve released the mid engine under a new company name everyone call it a supercar. Like if they called it the C8 by Zora and made the base 120k and up.
Katie-french@reddit
Citroën c8
ToddtheRugerKid@reddit
"Supercar" is based on performance alone. Not exclusivity, not a stupid complcated startup, not aesthetics, performance and performance alone. "Hypercar" is a class of racecars. I do not care what anybody else says. If I go and build some carbon bodied monstrosity on an 1980s truck chassis with a built/supercharged 350 that can beat a Huracon around COTA, I've built a supercar.
nbaumg@reddit
One key piece is exclusivity too which the c8 is not.
KRasnake93@reddit
The C8 is “common” traffic though just based on numbers produced.
SailingSpark@reddit
And price. At one time supercars were in the "if you have ask" price bracket. If we continue to use that criteria, the better and most porsches are not supercars. Even some of the lower end Ferraris get kicked out of that pool.
Otherwise, yes, the C8 is a supercar now.
SuperPark7858@reddit
A big part of being a supercar is exclusivity. The C8 is anything but.
jckipps@reddit
I'd argue that exclusivity is not the defining factor. Rolls-Royce makes cars that are extremely exclusive, but are not supercars.
As I see it, supercars are more about what they're designed for. They're built for road-racing, and sold to consumers who want to emulate that image.
SuperPark7858@reddit
Not the defining factor, no, but an important factor and the one that makes the 911/C8 not supercars.
Any sports car is a supercar undery our definition.
jckipps@reddit
There are variants of a Ford Mustang that are set up for road-racing. But the body itself was designed as a fun commuter car. I'd argue that even those extreme-performance variants are not supercars, simply because they're based on a chassis that wasn't purpose-built for that task.
In contrast, the c8 was designed first and foremost as a road-racer, and then detuned for budget buyers.
SuperPark7858@reddit
Was it? Most people who buy c8s never take them to the track or drive enthusiastically. It's a fairly isolated, automatic commuter car in base form.
A Miata is purpose built just for driving with no compromises. It is more of a supercar than the c8 by your logic.
KarateMusic@reddit
Dafuq are you talking about? I know 4 dudes with C8s, and 3 of them absolutely track their cars - that’s how I know them! The 4th is my 79 year old dad who has no business on a track anymore, but still goes to do whatever 79 year olds do in a rad car.
What an insane thing to say
SuperPark7858@reddit
"that's how I know them!"
You met people who track their Corvettes at the track. No kidding. How is that relevant?
According to a Corvette website, about 5% of owners track their cars. And I wonder how many of those people go once.
Most buyers are old people who never really drive them, as with every Corvette, which is why in twenty years there will still be a million low mileage C8s for sale.
PowerShovel-on-PS1@reddit
It seems to be an important factor to you but less so to others
PowerShovel-on-PS1@reddit
They make fewer than 10k Z06s per year
PhotographLess6194@reddit
About 20k huracans were sold over a 10 year period (2014-2024), where did you get that number lol
PowerShovel-on-PS1@reddit
20k was as of April 2022. There were 3 years of production after that. If sales remained average, that’s ~27-28k at end of production.
PhotographLess6194@reddit
You framed your statement as “they make fewer than 10k z06 per year” then proceeded to compare that to the total number of huracans sold over its entire lifespan.
PowerShovel-on-PS1@reddit
That was never claimed, don’t go into the strawman construction business.
Of 11 years. That is more than double the likely production of the C8 Z06. C7Z has 5 model years. Again, the point was that it’s an arbitrary dividing line. Just under 30k units total is an exclusive supercar, but just under 40k units total is grandma’s daily driver?
SuperPark7858@reddit
10k is traditionally a lot by traditional supercar standards, but then Aston and Lamborghini make more cars in a year these days than they did in 20 back in the day.
More importantly, the z06 looks the same as the base car. Your average person can't tell a zr1 from a base car. You see fifty c8s every single day. Not exclusive.
PK808370@reddit
Why the downvote? I agree, it’s still common to see the current model corvette. I know it’s an absolute monster, but I see multiple a day where I don’t see a Ferrari or Lamborghini everyday. Two friends have them (not counting as the ones I see everyday).
I wouldn’t even call the Audi R8 a super car, despite better pedigree. Partly because it looks boring.
Where are my Pagani Zondas, Koenigsigsigsigsigs, Gumpert Apollos, etc. actual super cars.
And, finally, the new Corvette is ugly. From what I know, the only thing super-car-ish about it is that it drives close to/like one, which is super!! But, it just feels like they purposely made it look like trash. I mean, the original Viper was a piece of shit, but looked way, way better than the new Vette.
PipeInternal2446@reddit
I agree.
But don't sleep on the Fiero.
romdj123@reddit
Spyker c8, I 1000% agree
Sunburst34@reddit
Sorry but no. A supercar, also known as an exotic car, is a street-legal sports car with race track-like power, speed, and handling, plus a certain subjective cachet linked to pedigree and/or exclusivity. The term “supercar” is about much more than performance. The C8 lacks both the pedigree and exclusivity to be a supercar. It’s a fantastic car, and far better in many ways than many supercars, but it’s not a supercar.
Mike312@reddit
I don't think pedigree/availability is best place you could draw a line at.
The Czinger 21C has incredible power, speed, and handling, but they've just started delivering actual chassis within the last year or two, so I'd say they have zero pedigree.
Audi didn't start delivering their flagship R8 until the mid-2000s. At the same time, Corvette was delivering their 6th generation. I'd call that a serious lack of pedigree for Audi, but I'm not going to knock one down to sportscar.
For a while, Porsche was delivering more 911s than Corvette was delivering C8s. Does that make a 911 GT3 not a supercar? Does that make the Nissan 400Z a supercar because of their low production volume?
I think it's a combination of factors in addition to a certain level of speed, power, and handling, it has more to do with the practicality you give up in going from sportscar to supercar to hypercar.
A Tesla Model 3 Performance will go toe-to-toe with a lot of supercars in a straight, but it's a sportscar because it's too heavy, has a full size trunk and space for 4 adults. Same goes for a G80 M3 xDrive.
iltani@reddit
This. Corvettes are often cross shopped with other muscle cars like Hellcats, BMW M, Audi RS, or Porsche. None of these are super cars.

Hour_Hawk_6147@reddit (OP)
The GTR is not a supercar in my eyes because its mass produced and lacks exculsivity compared to brands such as Ferrari and Lamborghini. Its interior is a lot cheaper and less futuristic compared to other high end super cars. And it has 4 seats rather than the traditional 2 seat set up. So overall i see it more as a super GT rather than a full blown supercar even though it destroyed them back in the day.
acEightyThrees@reddit

Kind of like how the c8 ZR1 is a hyper-car killer but the buyers aren’t the same as a F80, it can compete on the road but not in prestige. The R35 competed with things way outside of its price range but it doesn’t mean it’s in the club if that makes sense.

Some days I think it should require special training or license to drive with this much power.
xzElmozx@reddit
“Anything below $250k will lose” chill lol it’s fast but not that fast. A low-mid 3’s 0-60 and 11s 1/4 mile isn’t anything special. An M2 Comp pretty easily keeps up with it stock and beats it with a tune. At $250k you’re looking a 2-2.5 0-60 and ~9s 1/4 mile easily

2.8 seconds.
RUNEMDOWNKD@reddit
A 2021 used M3 xdrive can match it. A $550 tune can make it faster than a EV Ioniq 5 N.

Real car guy. Their fast/good cars but $250k is a LOT of money to play with
Dan6erbond2@reddit
Yeah I mean my S5 is fast but with $250k a 911 Turbo S is smoking the 5N. Or you get a B58/RS3 and tune the snot out of it. Or an F90 M5. So many options and the cars I mentioned look extremely sexy, sound fantastic, have great dynamics in one way or another (S5 and M5 are more GTs while the RS3 is a go-kart and the 911 a rocket).
Love how these EV bros act like their 3.4s on the highest trim makes every performance car obsolete. The 5N also isn't as great looking as they claim IMO.
phatelectribe@reddit
EV Ioniq 5 N does 0-60 in 2.8 seconds.
Not sure where you're getting 3.4 from lol
911TS yes but you're right about the looks. EV Ioniq 5 N is hideous aesthetically.
boostedkimura@reddit
Agreed, apples to oranges frankly. They're RC cars for people who wanna go fast in a soulless shell. If it makes them.haply great, but you compare EVs to ICEs. When cars race, whether rally or other, they race by class. I only compare cars within the same class, e.g., turbo 4 cyl tuners, NA V8s, turbo V8s etc. It makes no sense to flex an EV or biturbo V8 against an NA V6 or I4.
phatelectribe@reddit
No it can't.
There isn't an m3 comp that does 0-60 in 2.8 seconds as stock. You have to tune it to get close.

Khidorahian@reddit
I'd disagree, if only to be petty and say their engines aren't exotic enough.

Yeah but going by that assertion the Ford GT wouldn’t be considered a supercar either because it “only” uses a modified 3.5 ecoboost V6, similar as to what you can find in an F150.

Yeah, I'd class it as an athletic car/Race Car
jneal85@reddit
I guess it kind of depends on what characteristics classify it as a supercar. TBH that has kind gotten murky over the last 10 years or so. Used to be if it has X stats it’s a supercar by default. Now said stats are attainable for under $100k.

911 is a sports car. Turbo S is a supercar. GT3 RS is (kinda) a race car. People who say a Turbo isn’t a supercar haven’t driven one and/or only go by a car’s looks.
Suchiko@reddit
Being a supercar is as much about the theatre of looks than performance. If you have to explain to non-car people that "it's really a supercar because xyz" then I have some unfortunate news about your Nissan/Audi sports car for you.
I might be 5'10" and a UK size 6, but those stats alone do not make me a supermodel.

I think the lowest tier of super cars are the r8, base huracan, 911 gt3 or turbo (it’s close), c8 z06/C7 CR1, and the amg gt-r. The R35, 911 GTS (or turbo if you don’t count above), C7 Z06 are super car killers which compete on stats but still lag a little on the wow factor that comes with super cars.

I've always believed that the definition changes with time: the Countach was a supercar, today most retail performance cars are better in almost every way. Only the design keep it timeless.

Probably when I had a Nissan GT-R.
Even when I had a McLaren 570s I considered that a high end sports car.
When I think super cars I think halo level. Maybe the McLaren 750s and Ferrari 296GTB would be entry level super cars.

FWD is great for feeling ice almost immediately.
Consumes fuel like a super car.
Enough electrical for convenience of options but not so many that it isn’t impossible to work on yourself.
If you live in North America there are tons of them at junkyards for when you got your baby up on the dyno (on the lift to fix).
If you got this far, sorry for wasting your time. I genuinely love these cars though, and it maybe more a metaphorical answer, it truly is a “super” in every sense that OP wasn’t talking about.

Lotus Emira!
It really only falls short in arguably the most important category, performance. 400hp 0-60 in about 4 seconds. Fast but nothing that special these days. However the car in the twisties is sublime! Also sounds amazing! And the special experience it provides definitely feels like supercar territory to me.
It’s also made a big impact in my life. I met so many people in the exotic car world and gone to car shows etc. it’s been a blast!

New Corvette, all day long.
FixMysterious5969@reddit
Probably the modern Bentley Continental GT, sure it has "Grand Tourer" literally in the name, however that can overlap with "supercar". A top spec Conti GT Mulliner comes with 771 bhp, 0-60 is advertised at 3.2 seconds, it's not wedge shaped but is certainly a lot more angular than previous models, and is very capable on the track considering it's weight.
Failing that the new Bentley 'Supersports' is pretty much a track focused Conti GT limited at 500 units, ticks every box to be considered a supercar.
Khidorahian@reddit
I'd say its more a Grand Tourer or Super Grand Tourer.
FixMysterious5969@reddit
Yeah hence why I said "Grant Tourer" and "supercar" can overlap, for example the McLaren GT, it's designed to be a Grand Tourer and also has "GT" in the name, but I don't think anyone would disagree that it's a supercar.
I think "Super Grand Tourer" is a nice description.

Tesla 3 and Y performance models. Sub 4 second 0-60. It never gets old.
icientyouth@reddit
0-60 is no longer a significant factor for me when evaluating supercars because EVs have made it possible for anyone to do that. I want the handling, braking, sustained performance, aesthetics, and other factors that most EVs don’t have. I DD’ed a Porsche Taycan Turbo S for 3 years and the 0-60 wow factor wears off within the first year. Fortunately the Porsche wasn’t just a 0-60 one trick pony like Teslas, but still, it couldn’t make up for the emotional thrill of an ICE.
TheFlashOfLightning@reddit
If we counted every car that has a sub 4 0-60 as a supercar, the term would lose all meaning

Ya'll need to state your criteria. (Appearance, skidpad g force numbers, 0-60, drag coefficient, brand, etc.)
Those of you using only 0-60 times should keep in mind that if that's your only criteria the Cybertruck (2.6 seconds) is a supercar, which = 🤮

Here’s a weird one - 0–60 mph: ~3.6 seconds, 720 hp supercharged V8, some of the best street legal off-road capabilities you can buy. You can also haul a family of 4 and have enough bed space to haul around your piles of money since it is 110K+ brand new and gets about 12 mpg.

On the flip side, I don’t believe the new Corvette is a super car, at least the base models. I haven’t looked into the 5 better variants the offer.
The base has double wishbone suspension at all four corners when a lot of regular consumer cars have moved to a better multilink rear. It’s still running a pushrod engine, for crying out loud.
It’s m the same “we’re gonna tell you this car is something new when it’s actually a decade behind the competition” play GM always does with them
