Who wants a restomod EV?

Electrogenic (who did anEV restomod of Jason Momoa's 1929 RR Phantom) and Lunaz are successfully making £500K+ EV restomods and Little Car Company/Hedley is successfully making £1 million pound officially licensed electric replicas of historic cars, so a vague answer to your question is "enough very wealthy people that a handful of companies can specialize in EV restomods."

A company I worked for was working toward EV conversions because we realized something: the overwhelming majority of our buyers told us their significant others and/or children hated the “gas smell” vintage cars have, and a lot of their enjoyment of the cars wasn’t performance-related but related to the smallness and vintage look of the cars.
The world’s a better place with vintage cars as part of it, even if they’re missing an important part of their package.

I hadn't thought of the smell aspect, but that makes a lot of sense. That, the dwindling number of shops than can work on classic cars, and the frequency of having to take them in.
I love Lunaz and Electrogenic's work and could see myself looking into one someday (at those prices it would be a distant day). My main concern is the relative lack of crash worthiness compared to modern cars.

If someone paid for it, me, depending on the car.
Restomod early Magna would be tuff af

If you like it for the aesthetic more than the power train, it's kind of a perfect niche for an EV. A vehicle like this is never going to be used for road trips, so only needs minimal range. You also get much more pep and reduced maintenance.

Who wants a reatomod with EV, it lacks an ICE engine
Who wants a restomod with a modern engine, it lacks the flair
Who wants a restomod with an original engine, it lacks sophistication
As long as its a good EV system idgaf. Just dont make it a Celestiq like failure of a drive system

This has got to be the most beautiful car I've ever seen. Holy shit.

Look at a step-nose GT.
Look at this.
Look back.
All you see in this is a Kardashian. None of the grace and flaws and attractiveness of what was original. Just puffed up and filled in and junkified for the tastes of the tasteless.
