Looking to buy a new perfume and wondering what a really good new one is, my dior one is running out. No budget
Beautiful_Meaning691@reddit
Who is Elijah Cherry Fiesta is my current fave
Bratfink78@reddit
LV & Van Cleef
CollegeFabulous3535@reddit
Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle Intense
UniqueTart6744@reddit
I personally love Lush perfumes, they’re the only ones that don’t just smell like chemicals to me.
My fave at the moment is Rose Jam, which basically smells like Turkish Delight, super sweet combo of rose and lemon.
LoudCar7846@reddit
I second Rose Jam, the body spray is beast mode and lasts all day.
marthamagic@reddit
I’ve worn Lush Karma since I started uni in 2012, still not fed up of it!
here-but-not-present@reddit
Ditto. I've worn it for nearly 20 years and it's still my go-to. Although I'm still annoyed at Dear John only coming in giant bottles.
MelodicAd2213@reddit
Alina is my fave Lush scent, suitable for everyday
Wearethedevil@reddit
I find mainstream does tend to have that strong alcohol base smell too. I enjoy lush scents because they don't have that, but I highly recommend Indie perfume! r/indiemakeupandmore will have you smelling like ANYTHING you can think of!
BearComprehensive703@reddit
Halfeti
TheHootOwlofDeath@reddit
I love this too, the best Penhaligons scent in my opinion. Spenny though!
BearComprehensive703@reddit
I mean all the perfumes from that house are, but completely worth it.
shuna3456@reddit
I would just be conscious of all of the toxins in perfumes personally. Endocrine disruptions that are linked to breast cancer.
So also if you are wearing toxic perfume for others to smell, they also get second hand impact.
BearComprehensive703@reddit
I bet you smell like pure lavender oil
shuna3456@reddit
Pheromones
BearComprehensive703@reddit
Yeah those are known for not having an impact on anyone
shuna3456@reddit
Mine are very potent
BearComprehensive703@reddit
I was being sarcastic, you're deploring the effect of perfume ingredients on others while drowning them in synthetic roofie vapors...
Charming-Clock-3651@reddit
What toxins are you referring to specifically?
shuna3456@reddit
Phalates mostly
Realistic_Beyond_903@reddit
Chanel Coco mademoiselle

Paul Smith Extreme Woman by Paul Smith -- I have never forgotten the woman who wore this. Happy sigh.
elliottj6325@reddit
I actually still use Calvin Klein's "One". I smelt it first about 20 something years ago, and loved it then, and have often just come back to it. I like how it's quite unisex (and often prefer male cologne type smells to the typical female ones, even though I'm a woman)
Few-Scholar1873@reddit
Black opium by ysl. Can wear it anytime and any occasion
elliottj6325@reddit
I absolutely loved this! And then I became pregnant and for some odd reason absolutely went off the smell. I haven't revisited but might do that now my bump is nearly 6yrs old...
Jazzietunes@reddit
This was my favourite too until I started reacting to it on my fourth bottle 😭 could have just been a bad batch I guess but as it’s so expensive don’t want to risk it now!

Worth noting for reasons I don't quite understand (and I'm not sure if anyone does) perfumes can smell wildly different from person to person. Some people "suit" a particular perfume while the same one might not suit someone else.
Bumblebbutt@reddit
80% of perfumes go rancid on my skin. It’s so bizarre how it’s usually brand specific too
Upbeat_Branch_4231@reddit
I heard, and it may be wrong, that its because the perfume reacts with the natural secretions from the body which of course vary a bit between everyone.
SissaSays@reddit
100%!! Which is why the original Bottega Veneta smells unbelievably good on my Mum… & like a rancid, summer day bin on me 😖 (perhaps with exception of Molecule 01 which has become so popular as appears to smell good on everyone!)
cloudydaydreamsss@reddit
