I interviewed with them but ended up getting a local job instead. I think their drivers are treated well and have good pay. It does seem very corporate. They have their own way of doing things. They have touch and no touch freight options.

What turned you away or just the local job seem better ?

Local job interested me more. Dirt hauling, no cameras on the truck, no logs. No micromanaging. No dealing with shippers and receivers. This company only has around 20 drivers so they really don't even have a safety department.

It's called the food service sector of trucking and they get paid very well , but it's athletic work, hands on touching the freight,
It's not for the faint of heart... It's grueling work especially at first but once you get strong enough, it can be very easy..

I’m a fairly in shape guy I think I can handle it

A lot of people think that that's why they usually will give you a signing bonus so that you don't give up and you try to push through until you get strong enough

McLane driver here -I do grocery and food service. It’s good living but get ready to work for that pay check. Anywhere from 17-24 hour runs. Get ready to work solo on those longer routes before your partner comes on duty. I enjoy the work bc it’s physical and it’s my cheat to working out on my rest days lol. Grossed $148k last year and although it’s not for everyone I enjoy the work, driving a big truck and putting these trailers where they don’t belong lol

A low paying mega company that has cameras facing outside and inside the cab.

If you think you know how much a driver makes then why are you asking?
Ok_Chemist181@reddit (OP)
I never asked about the pay! I know two people who worked there now and showed me how much they getting . I’m here for non bias opinions.
