First time hauling reefer; why is this happening? Does it for a few minutes and then stops.

It sounds like the starting buzzer is staying on for some reason I would assume there's a short somewhere. Do you have it and start stop or continuous?

It was set by the shipper. The broker specifically said not to adjust it. It’s on continuous.

I run reefer. Sometimes the system needs to reset itself. It's not that serious. Restart the damn thing and it may self clear

There's alarms in memory. This is the startup warning. It either didn't shut it off via computer or there's a short somewhere. Restarting it is not going to hurt it.

No, no, it wouldn't hurt. If there's an alarm in memory it should show in the alarm menu. I guess that's not in the video. But I usually just clear those from the menu and don't have to power cycle it.

That shiny lever? Flip it for 5 seconds flip it back up thats on off switch sometimes things just need to be turned off and turned back on again it probably freaked out over something it thought was going to happen but didnt happen. Ive had CS trailers freak out early for "box out of temperature range" and its three degrees away from set temp. Just turn off turn back on if that doesnt work call it in boss

You should find a start/stop continuous button on the top left of the control panel. I'm guessing you want the reefer to run continuously.

I can't see, but I drove for FFE for like 6 years. I'm assuming you're referring to a defrost, which is normal and nothing to worry about. The start/stop will cause a beep and it will.... start/stop. Lol Just check if there's an alarm, verify the temp is in range and move out! Have fun.

Check the delta and supply readings. Does the reefer have door alarms? What's the battery output? Low voltage only throws a code below a certain level but the buzzer might have triggered on startup due to reading low voltage to the starter.

Your good. You have it in start stop mode. and you have the green light. If the reefer had a problem. The alarm light would be flashing and that green light would be orange. If you want it in continuous mode, just hit the start stop button

Dog has your reefer turned on since you picked it up? Cause it doesn't sound like it's on but that might just be the video not picking it up. If your reefer isn't on then theres a good chance that that's the start tone. Some reefers (and semis) come equipped with a start tone to warn that the engine is about to turn on. If its been off the entire time since you picked up and just keeps doing that then there's a good chance the starter is bad. This is only a guess though you'd need to swing by a tech or call whatever maintenance department is responsible for that reefer to get a good answer since there's only so much we can do over a reddit video with the temps covered by glare.

Sometimes if its set to start/stop instead of continuous it will make an alarm like sound prior to the reefer starting. If its keeping temp you *should * be ok. I Ran food service 8 years

Depends on how long your trip is. I wouldn’t mess with it as long as it’s keeping temp if you got a shorter trip.
