REJECT THE BILLIONAIRES. VOTE IN EVERY LOCAL ELECTION.
r/arlington mods banned me for posting this video because it was "clearly anti-Republican". Come to r/fortworth instead.

How does fracking fuck up kids?

I’m also tired of hearing Americans complain about gas prices due to foreign policies and wars. I’m tired of Americans relying on foreign oil while rejecting American soil oil. I’m tired of hearing about the health risks in any part of the US while giving zero fks about health risks from foreign oil extraction. I’m tired of Americans believing only their health and country matters. Americans want oil and gas and it’s available in the US, Americans suffer the consequences just as foreign countries do.
If your neighbor has a nice juicy steak grilling and you smell it, do you forcefully take it from them or do you get your own?
Brave-Statement-8810@reddit
Okay? we have a lot of places to drill that aren’t right next to a daycare lol
KoutaFox@reddit
Anywhere, literally anywhere you drill people are going to protest against it on US soil

Thanks for fighting the good fight Nathan. We are all tired but the pendulum will swing the other way and we will have our justice. One day soon, we will look back at these times and reflect on the pain and struggles that the billionaire class forced upon us. It will also reflect the petty bribes and promises corrupt government officials collected in payment for turning a blind eye.
This is yet another battle in the long, hard fought war the working class has been engaged in since America's inception, we must unite to finally put an end to the billionaire class and stop falling for their propaganda that we somehow need them. I truly hope history will not be kind and their legacies will be of nothing but shame. The only war is class war!

His definition of crazy is standing in front of city council. That’s what’s crazy.

Dude we rented a house in Arlington when we first moved to Texas. They started fracking literally right behind us. My wife and I felt physically ill from that site. It gave off a low hum or vibration that was continuous. I remember having headaches and being nauseas all the time. The best part was getting checks to the “owner” for the fracking that was happening. Here we were suffering while some guy that didn’t even live there was getting paid residuals. Never again. I can’t believe it was legal.

Minimum distance from a well site to a residential property line is 600 feet. How close was it to your yard?
ZER0_F0CKS@reddit
If you look up 5500 Silver Maple Dr , Arlington TX you will see. Just switch to Satellite view and the houses and the site is clear as day. I don’t know about 600 feet, but it was damn close to that. It is also right next to a church. Also upon more searches the site is called “TotalEnergies”. It looks like the news even did a story on it as other people had similar experiences.

If that was the house you were in the distance from the wellhead to the nearest part of the house is 654 feet. There are houses closer, 580' directly to the east. The church is 633 feet north, though there's a tin outbuilding closer. The eye doctor is the closest at around 300 feet. The driller at this location has a history of asking for and being granted waivers by the Arlington City Council for closer drilling than the city ordinance limit of 600'.
BTW, the property owner of the house you lived in has received royalty payments from TotalEnergies, FWIW.
ZER0_F0CKS@reddit
Yea. As soon as I started looking for the info you asked for I found that I was apparently not alone. It is crazy they are letting that go on in the middle of a residential area like that. I have never felt anything like that before or since. It is 100% a legitimate physical phenomenon. I wonder how much they pay to make sure that gets approved? It certainly does not help the people much. Even the checks they mailed were not that much.
noncongruent@reddit
The checks would go to the property owner, that's how property ownership and mineral rights work. People that rent miss out on that for legitimate reasons. Arlington's city council is likely as corrupt as Dallas' is, so no surprise that waivers are pretty much a rubber stamp. Renters have the option of being able to move away, but property owners don't have that as an easy option.
ZER0_F0CKS@reddit
Well moving away is an exactly what we did. Still doesn’t seem Right to have a site like that so close to where people live. Plus to have it affect property values as well. The people approving such things should not be in power.
technoskald@reddit
We still don’t know who he is, though.

kinda wild how they just banned u like that smh

Nathan Smith is running for Tarrant County clerk against Tom Wilder, but this video is about the local fracking he fought against not about the election.
