Currently me and my wife both work remote and want to live somewhere more affordable than Colorado as housing is super expensive here. Given the current landscape of things biggest concern is layoffs and we would like to move somewhere were the job market isn't non existent.

I work as a IT auditor/Internal Auditor(Risk and Compliance basically) and she is a network engineer. If I did switch jobs down the line I would want to work in a stable industry rather than highest paying if that exists anymore. Would also like to buy a house in the 350k-550k range.

Which city is better for what we are looking for and our career fields?
