I'm going to be delivering a load at Hill field airforce base in UT, I've never delivered at a military site before and just wanted to see if anyone has delivered here and anything I should know or be concerned about when delivering at the airforce base. thank you

I deliver to Army and Air Force bases daily. As long as your background clears you’ll be okay. Different bases look back into your history for different lengths. Some 5 years, some 10. If you’re not 100% squeaky clean I wouldn’t take the load. Otherwise you could end up having to return it, or waiting for another driver to take it from you.

I've never delivered to Hill, but I've delivered to multiple military bases. Be ready to have your truck searched. It's not guaranteed that they'll go inside and look through your sleeper, but it can't be ruled out. Do expect them to want you to open every door that can be opened (hood, driver/passenger door, side boxes, any compartments on your trailer, etc).
Also, good luck navigating. For some reason, military bases love not clearly marking street names at intersections and the street names change regularly whenever some base commander gets a hard on for making their mark on the service.
Make sure you know ahead of time which gate is the one designated for commercial vehicles. Hopefully it's not a situation like Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque which has three options depending on the time of day, day of the week, and whether or not they feel like opening that gate that day.
If you have a TWIC, you may or may not have a shorter wait for the background check. Works in some places (Fort Campbell, Kirtland AFB), doesn't at others (Cheyenne Mountain SFS/NORAD).

Picked up a F-16 engine about 10 yrs ago. They had a video to watch, and then an inspection, but no big deal. I was given a card stating i had watched the video, which was good for a year.

I was there many years ago. Truck was searched inside and out. Have your ID and paperwork and you'll be fine.

Used to be you could only use Roy Gate up there on the North side. Been a handful of times to load and unload. I had Escorts everytime, good to know who your Point Of Contact (POC) is before you get there, truck will be inspected just like any other base, run your name just like any other base. Overall one of the better bases I have been to, didn’t spend hours waiting for an inspection like you could at Bliss or Davis Monthan.
