REQUEST SOMEONE TO RECREATE: Shitty Peanut Butter & Ramen sandwich I made as a 10 year old (I'm in my 50's now) -Recipe in comments-

No, I do not have a picture, and I will not be recreating this. I don't want to spoil a fond childhood memory.
In the mid 80's, 10 year old me regularly made a sandwich as an aspiring shitty chef. Or maybe I was just a bored kid. It looked terrible, but I thought it tasted pretty good.
Is anyone willing to give it a go and post a pic? Here's how it's made...
-
Boil a pack of ramen noodles (any flavor) on stovetop. Drain the water, THEN add the seasoning packet. Stir to incorporate.
-
Toast 2 slices of bread of choice. I think we normally had white or wheat bread from the supermarket shelf. Nothing fancy.
-
Spread a generous amount of creamy peanut butter on the toasted bread. The bread will still be warm and the peanut butter would get sort of melty.
-
Place a good amount of the seasoned ramen noodles on the bread, and assemble the sandwich.
-
Plate the sandwich, cutting in half diagonally, only if you're feeling extra fancy.
That's it! If anyone is willing to try it, I would very much appreciate it!

That would be amazing! I would make it myself, but I don't want to ruin an old memory. Plus, I don't think my wife would look at me the same way ever again!

Lmao I’m doing it right now. That was a pic I took yesterday and it’s making fun of the normal sub Reddit cause they bring that shit up constantly for no reason

honestly though, if you ever decide to update it, put some chili crisp and some green onions and maybe some kind of crispy protein like bacon in there and i bet it'd be 🔥. I use pb all the time for a quick peanut sauce base.

Ill be home in 8 hours. If no ones posted, i got you.

I can't wait! Let me know what ramen flavor you end up choosing!
kodakowl@reddit
It will probably be picante chicken because it's what I have on hand. Do you think lemon pepper would enhance the experience?

Hey, you be the chef and take this culinary delight to whatever shitty PB&R level your heart desires!

Fun fact, when I was a teen, these ramen packs were frequently on sale 10 for $1.
Once I saw 15 for $1, like, how?! No idea what they cost now, haven't bought them in decades.

Man i remember those days. And the days where you could go to stop and ship and get 20 frozen banquet tv dinners for $10.
DoNt_BliNk25@reddit
Pack of 12 at Walmart is like $3.97

Kinda like a pad thai sandwich, might be better with one of the chili/spicy ramen packs.
NachosReady@reddit (OP)
At that age, I had never experience Thai food, so I had no idea that this would be a valid flavor combo.

Sounds fire.

Thanks, I know what my dinner would look like tomorrow

I used to make my ramen noodles that way when I was a kid. I loved the sodium bomb.
