I don't know who this is for, but I know it is not for me.

Gold is currently almost $5,000 per ounce.
These have an exceptionally fine gold plating on them, and they chose to use pure gold rather than an alloy...
The plating is going to rub off almost immediately, even with very gentle handling. Such a waste.
Reminds me of the knife Kershaw offered, or offered, not sure if they still make them. They were "plated", but the plating was so thin that you could rub part of it off by pulling it out of the factory packaging too aggressively.

Yea, but some dummy on r/EDC will buy shit like that

I don't know that sub, but most people in knife enthusiast communities pretty immediately decided that it stunk.
The Leek itself is a really great little entry level flipper if you can get over the fact that the blade is very thin and comes to a fine point. For light duty and careful use it's an excellent pocket knife. A "suburban" knife if you will.
But the moment you try to pry or awl at something with it you'll damage the blade. And they do chip easy too. You see a lot of them with the point popped off and I've seen a couple people grind new points on them.

disgusting

I feel like of all the materials to make a hammer and trigger out of, 24k gold has got to be the worst one
caterham09@reddit
I guarantee it's 24k plated. Which is still bad but just because the finish is going to wear quickly
TheMoves@reddit
Oh it's definitely plated, if it were solid this thing would cost way more lol
OttoMannkusser@reddit
Couldn't even do it in .32 ACP as the good lord intended?
Certain_Cable_1439@reddit
Not even 9mm flobert???
BobBBobbington@reddit
I had a watched lot in an auction recently on an Italian mag fed 9mm flobert semiauto shotgun. It was a thing of beauty, you could severely agitate clays and scare mice away with that bad boy.

Lmao my first thought too
Popular-Ad2193@reddit
This is stupid! Who would want to use a soft metal for a trigger and hammer
Royal_Bid5435@reddit
Looks like Hermann Göring had a garage sale.

Can't decide on whether to be James Bond of His Majesty's Secret Service or Jaime Benitez of Los Zetas?
Now you can be both!

Cartel chic belongs on a 1911 chambered in .38 super, IMO.
