I have serious buyers remorse with my disruptor. The trigger pull is aight (honestly I've felt better mil-spec triggers( but holy shit the safety feels horrible.

Check out datum https://datummachine.com/product/dmw-frt-selector-ambi-long-long/ they feel great
Minimum_Hope_5205@reddit
Oh man I'm definitely doing this. Thank you bro.

These make a world of difference
Go_GO_GADGET_GUN@reddit
They have different options but a lot are sold out right now. Any that say frt will work for the disruptor. They also have pins that fit if you dont like the screws for the trigger I highly recommend

This or an Arizona Regulator for more money?

AZR 100%
CharmingWheel328@reddit
Same true if I add in a Kabuto as an option? They're much cheaper but that makes me suspicious of how well they actually work.
crypto6g@reddit
I’d try the Kabuto first because of how much cheaper they are. Also the AZR owner is a schizo who apparently just blocks you if you have any issues and refuses to refund or replace a unit. I’ve heard they’re good when they work but you’re SOL if you get one that doesn’t.
CharmingWheel328@reddit
They're cheaper, but $100+ isn't cheap. I'd rather get what works first instead of maybe getting a dud, you know?
The hard thing for me is figuring out why Kabuto-style FRTs are so much cheaper.
crypto6g@reddit
Ah I forgot I was thinking of those cheap 3D printed ones but I’m not sure how good they work. I’d check out the r/supersafety sub and look through, there’s a couple different companies who make the Kabutos (some higher quality, some 3D printed) and I’d just skim through and see which companies have the best product and customer service!

I have every FRT made AFAIK. My favorite so far is FKT-15 because it's not super expensive and all three of mine just dropped in, no mods required. It's nearly identical to the ARSS15 except for whatever reason I had issues with 3 out of my four of those, and the fourth had binding even though it still worked.
Two out of my four AZR's required minor modification to work, and the owner is a huge dick who will without fail just blame your guns even though I have countless to test them on and confirm the problem is with the AZR tolerances being off.
ARC has been great, but I like that with the FKT-15 I don't need to mod my trigger and I can use mil spec M16 selectors and take it out in just a second without tools. All that said, it wouldn't surprise me if the ARC lasts longer given you can easily see the difference in quality of machining and that might translate to quality of steel used, I dunno. Haven't had issues yet, though.
Happy to answer questions about other FRTs too.
CharmingWheel328@reddit
The FKT seems nice, but honestly with prices as they are it may be about the same price to get a Regulator.
I'm looking for a 3-position 90-180, and I would like for it to use mil-spec selectors as I think they just look nicer. I'll be putting it into a dedicated FRT host so I don't have any lower parts yet, and the AZR does come with a trigger (but I've heard it's gritty).
Thanks for your input! Do you know if there's any particular reason for certain Kabuto designs being so cheap? <$100 or so for some of them.
redit_readit_reddit@reddit
Most of the Kabuto's I've seen require filing and tweaking. Most use some printed components lowering cost and what they can charge for them, even it's just the housing, people will pay less.
CharmingWheel328@reddit
I gotcha. I'll keep thinking about my options, this build will take a long while to come together so I have time to make a decision.
the-tactical-donut@reddit
Fair warning, if you have issues with your trigger, the company will never respond to you.
I’ve reached out multiple times and gotten zero responses.
Their warranty is garbage since you can’t actually make use of it.
neuralpluto884@reddit
What sort of issues have you had with the trigger so far? Literally almost bought one of these
the-tactical-donut@reddit
It shoots in FRT mode even when set to semi
Chewynugetman@reddit
I have heard that the main issue with these are that the safety is garbage.
redit_readit_reddit@reddit
Datum Machine sells compatible literal mil spec 3 pos selectors that have been modified to work with them.
HeughJanus@reddit
$50 super safety chads stay winning
Foreign-Frame-7200@reddit
This is a really good deal if someone is looking for a drop in frt. basically getting a stripped lower for 15 bucks.
Bubbly-Celery-4096@reddit
That was my math
Powerful_Wishbone25@reddit
How do these compare to the arc fire, atrius , or SS?
