Your long acrylic fingers nails holding you back?

Pop your trailer brakes fool
Present-Ambition6309@reddit
Get a bigger hammer then rubbing alcohol
Prior-Ad-7329@reddit
Set your trailer brakes. Then just pull the button. Cannot do it while brakes are released.
Vast-Yak-8713@reddit
All you have to do is pop the trailer brake. That’s it!
MD_keh@reddit
Try to air up the trailer for a minute then set breaks and try again. If not probably a leak you’ll have to get fixed
Puzzleheaded-Hat5803@reddit
Or maybe 3 to 5 mins. Ive had trailers before that I thought i was dumb until I waited five mins while air was being supplied. Then set em. Bingo.

My trailer takes a long time to build up enough air to pull the pins in. It's really annoying. You can have 125psi and the trailer all aired up immediately and the brakes free and air bags all inflated. Didn't matter. That button is a prima donna
SaltAndBitter@reddit
Did you remember to set your trailer brakes? The slide button locks in while they're released
NerveBooger@reddit
You need to cuss loudly at it.
edsavage404@reddit
You need air to pull it
IBringTheHeat2@reddit
Hit it with your purse

If the button itself is stuck because of rust/dirt/whatever I either hammer it or wedge my sealcutter in and pry it open.

I have had this happened to me before. Assuming the OP isn’t a new driver, try using the claw hammer to pull the release slowly. Another scenario might be if this is a heavy loaded trailer, in that case I’ve found driving around the yard might release some tension from the pins

When in doubt locking pliers

Whatever you do, don't tell its stepbro.

If none of the pins are moving, it's probably air pressure. Could be tension from the truck slightly pulling on the trailer when you set the brakes, too. Release tractor brakes and see if you feel any movement, reset brakes and try again. If some pins move but others don't, they could just be stuck. Try knocking on them with a hammer and they might break loose. Hope this helps.

I misunderstood the help request lol. My bad.
BigSchmitty@reddit
Set the brakes first. I always make sure there’s at least 100psi showing before I set the brakes. Otherwise there may not be enough pressure to pull the pins in.

Go pull the ketchup...
You have to set your trailer brakes before you can release the air from the back to move your tandems
