Loud Rattling Noise On Bafang Rear Hub Motor After Installing Heavy Tire.

Hello all—I put a big heavy 20x4 E-Huntsman tire on the rear wheel of my Bafang Hub fat tire ebike, and after a few weeks of riding to work at top speed, the motor has suddenly started making a super loud rattling noise.
I have every tool I should need to take it apart—Please let me know what y'all think the issue might be, what I should look for, and how I might fix this. It's an Ariel Rider X-Class 52 volt I've had since 2022. I put a little over 3000 miles on it with no issue before installing this tire. I did notice much stronger vibrations form the motor as soon as I installed the tire but I had only seen warnings about installing actual motorcycle tires, with the E-Huntsman is not.
Thank you!

Put your mind at ease about taking the motor apart. If you know how to remove the cassette and have the proper tools (mine needed security torx and the chain whip is nice to have for the cassette), there’s nothing really crazy after that. Just pops off and if it’s the gears that are the problem, you’ll see right away. If it’s the clutch assembly, which is the smaller disc the gears are attached to, you can find those with the planetary gears as one replaceable assembly. I was freaking out before I opened mine up for the first time. I just did it the other day to lube it just because. Good luck!

Thanks, yeah taking it apart I'm not nervous about cause I've done that before on my addmotor bike to grease the gears, moreso just what to look for. Hopefully it's obvious! Thanks for the advice!

check for loose spokes, fender and frame for rubbing. vibration after installing new tire is most likely due to unbalanced tire. flip the bike upside down and spin rear tire, if it always stops in the same spot that tire is unbalanced and you need to add counter weights like they do to cars or get new tire.
