The Fornasari RR99 is a luxury performance crossover produced by the boutique Italian manufacturer Fornasari. Debuting at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, it is often described as a hybrid between a grand tourer, a luxury sedan, and a high-performance SUV.

Primarily powered by GM-sourced V8 engines (Corvette LS series), ranging from 6.0L to 7.0L.
Petrol V8: Outputs vary by configuration, typically producing between 500 hp and 750 hp.
Diesel V6: A 3.0-liter turbo diesel option producing 250 hp was introduced later
0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in approximately 3.8 seconds (down to 3.2 seconds on high-output variants).
Electronically limited to roughly 280 km/h (174 mph), with some versions capable of reaching 320 km/h (199 mph).
The RR99 is famous for its eclectic styling, which borrows design elements from various high-end automotive brands to reduce development costs.
Elements include Aston Martin-style headlights, Jaguar XK-inspired bumpers, Lamborghini Murcielago taillights, and stacked exhaust tips reminiscent of the Lexus IS F.
It measures 5.2 meters (approx. 204 inches) in length and 2.15 meters in width, making it a very large and imposing vehicle.
Built to order with a high degree of customization, it was originally priced around €165,000.
The manufacturer, Fornasari Automobili, was declared bankrupt in 2015 but later attempted a revival with new models like the Gigi 311 GT.

Some things I like, some things I don't like
Blanchimont@reddit
I like it. It is obviously a parts bin special with Aston Martin headlights, Lamborghini tail lights and Jaguar doors, but the idea itself was way ahead of its time if you look at high performance SUV's like the Aston Martin DBX, Lamborghini Urus and Ferrari Purosangue that came afterwards.
lasskinn@reddit
why not choose parts bin parts that would look good on it though instead of expensive
Blanchimont@reddit
Because "look good" is a subjective thing. I'm sure whoever came up with this design at Fornasari genuinely thought they made a good, coherent design with sourced parts that fit what they were going for. The only downside is that most of us don't agree with that opinion and think it looks rather quirky at best, and ugly at worst.

Not bad, reminds me of the made up cars you'd see in old video games, fun!
mincedmutton@reddit
Looks like it was poorly cobbled together from the combined parts bin of Hyundai, Kia, Proton and Lada - circa 1998.

Holy mishmash
Looks like a car from gta headlights from a vantage, taillights from an lp640 shaped like a cayenne or panamera drawn from memory

Jaguar XF doors, too.
MiketheBike88@reddit
Luxury? It looks like a Saturn.
bacondesign@reddit
It can also be described as fucking ugly.
Stegasaurus_Wrecks@reddit
If it wasn't on stilts it'd be quite nice I reckon.
CephaloPOTUS@reddit
It'd be a stretch to call much of it pretty, but damn that ride height is the worst.
upsidedowncreature@reddit
Closely followed by the panel gaps.
CephaloPOTUS@reddit
Wow those are bad! It looks like a cartoon how every edge is inked in black. The interior also looks like a faux leather speed boat.
jimbowesterby@reddit
It could look good if it were done up like a safari rally car, feels like it’s asking for some big tires

More chop-shop than boutique.
It looks like something made by that Indian guy that had a tv show in the uk.
BananaPalmer@reddit
Is "boutique" Italian for "multi brand partsbin abomination?"

If a Porsche 928 was a sexy curvy German supermodel, this is the housfrau she grew into squeezing into a too toght dress for her grandson's wedding

Interiors are hard. Apparently. That glove box looks like it came out of a boat and not a nice boat.
Csc1392@reddit
I see Aston Martin vantage headlights. Murciélago taillights and jag xf doors. What else?
Fli_fo@reddit
The art is to make it look good from every angle. I'm not saying I could do it better but that's no help.

I hate this less than I should.
